Today in VComm there was the historical/television presentation... and needless to say, it SUCKED. Not only did they get their facts wrong (and then try and shift the blame to me, the "dumb" audience member), but they had hideous images ripped from the 'Net, completely without attribution. (And they spelled things wrong! So many things!) And their presentation was so dry, it needed moisturizer. One thing's for damn sure, my group (cultural/world wide web) will top them.

So I guess it's time for me to have another poll, if you please...

[Poll #614459]

Yeah, I admit it-- I'm re-reading the HYD manga while I'm itching for the SARS fansub of episode 4 of the J-drama to come out... I can't bring myself to watch RAWS, and the softsubs require a special program or something...

Anyway, with Sailormoon on the brain and Sailor Generator Xv2 (or X Generator v2?) constantly in use, I created... Sailor Eitoku! AKA Makino Tsukushi.

She uses the anime colors for her suit (based off the Eitoku uniform), but the manga styling of her hair (and its length, based off the later manga volumes). I'll probably end up doing a J-Drama version once the generator/KiSS doll (from SailorGalleries.com) gets more options for the hair. ^^

In WRP2, the Story #6 that I worked so hard on (and BSed this evening ^^;) ended up being worth extra credit only... and she may or may not even issue extra credit. Instead, we have to edit a badly written (but similar) story that she gave us tonight. That's in ADDITION to the byline clip project with bonus oral presentation that I still have to do before Thanksgiving. This week is SOOOO busy... ;_; I'm finally tired though, so maybe after some more HYD I'll go to sleep. :)

Ahhh I need to make/get icons. HYD, definitely.

The internet provides a place for discourse between people of many walks of life. News travels faster, and can be updated quickly. Donations can be made online to good causes. Shopping online provides ease and convenience for many famlies. People with similar beliefs and hobbies can talk about problems they have in their lives, and can act as a support group. However, groups like this may also exist that encourage and bolster those who support hatred and terror. Misinformation is spread just as quickly as honest journalism. People who have developed online friendships have become unable to free themselves from the computer and back to "the real world". People make their own identites online. There is internet stalking, baiting, meeting up with underaged people and raping them. There is porn.

Simply stated, the internet has become in it's short existance, a reflection of our society today. It has all of our positive attributes and flaws. The only difference is that because of its convenience, it shows both goodness and perversion faster than any other form of media. The internet is neurtral because we are a netural society.

Hope that helped! :) Oooh, where's that sailor generator from?
