Hm, interesting.
(1) SMRFF
(2) SMRFF 2.0
(3) Former RTA-people, with some AFX people mixed in
(4) More former RTA-people (and so on, repeated)

Today I have off! YAY! So I'm staying up late again, doing not much of anything (watched Harry Potter 3 with Scott, though) except musing. I did manage to finish writing #26 for [livejournal.com profile] 30kisses-- incidentally, also the first of my two submissions for the [livejournal.com profile] ygo_lyricwheel. You'll have to wait till Tuesday to see it, though! And as for my 2nd pairing... I'm stuck between Lois/Clark (need to see more episodes!) and Seiya/Usagi (plotbunny!).

I should get around to writing more of WDKY17 now that I know what to do with Téa's deck (and it will actually ADD to the plot!) and everything... though the later 20s chapters are nagging at me to be written. -_- How weird is that? Eheh...

And is it just me, or was there a Azumanga Daioh! character who dressed up as Lenne from FFX-2? I swear to god, that's what [livejournal.com profile] miss_matched's icon looks like.

I've noticed a couple of other strange things, too:
(1) Some people have me friended, and I don't know why, where they found me, or if they actually read what I say here
(2) Some people I have friended have a tendency to write posts that either make me uncomfortable (I feel like I should respond, but I don't know how) or make me wanna smack them a'la "bad review" style. I mean... I guess I really just don't have a sense of humor, or know people as well as I should, because some people really just say things that have me like, twitching to post something snarky at them.

I need more icons. Preferably Sailormoon, but I just need to get back into the fandom completely. Thank goodness a big chunk of PGSM is almost done downloading... then I can burn it to CD (I need more PGSM images for my CD labels-- help?) and watch what I haven't thus far. And then expect several more "comparison" posts.

Ow, chest pain. Never eat four fruit leathers in one sitting.

So today I received my packages from Amazon.com-- Vols. 1 & 3 of Yu-Gi-Oh uncut, Books 2 & 3 of The Mediator, and the Batman Begins Soundtrack. I'm still waiting on Vol. 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh uncut... but of the 3 episodes I've seen so far, I have a few comments to make (of course):

1: The Japanese audio/English subtitle track is called a "bonus" feature on the packaging. WTF-- people only buy the Uncuts for the Japanese version! On top of that, they don't even subtitle it properly. Sure, it's better than the HK bootlegs, but they still change the name of the cards (e.x. Celtic Guardian instead of Elf Soldier) and that irritates me-- the subtitles are supposed to reflect what is being said, not what the dub script had them say. (They also screw up once or twice, and call Yami no Yuugi "Yuugi" or "Yu-Gi-Oh" and other times, they call Yuugi "Yu-Gi-Oh" ...!)

2: Surprisingly, Toei did a much better job explaining the first arc (Yuugi assembles the puzzle, Yuugi and Jounouchi become friends, Yuugi defeats Kaiba in a duel) than TV Tokyo/NAS did. In the first episode, they just breezed through the first duel with Kaiba, and the Mind Crush Yami no Yuugi did as punishment didn't put Kaiba in a coma-- it just "removed the evil" from Kaiba's heart. Sounds a bit dub to me, but I could be wrong... it's just that they made the fact that Kaiba "needed" punishment a last resort kind of thing in the Toei anime-- sort of like, he did all this bad stuff, but now finally we draw the line. Only Death-T got to that point, because Kaiba had put everyone's lives in danger multiple times (nearly killing Honda, Jounouchi, etc.).

3: There are 2 sets of subtitles, but I can't tell the difference between them-- one is for the hearing impaired listening to the English dub track (btw, they changed Mai's voice again, if you didn't already know that... *sniffle* I miss the old Mai!) and the other is the subtitle track for the Japanese track. Anyone know which one is which? Maybe they actually got the subtitles/names right on the Japanese track, and my settings were just screwed up.

4: With the songs, they rearranged the "sentences" so that the song supposedly made more sense. They also changed some words, and for someone like me that has already translated the lyrics, it's a bit odd to hear that "Genki no Shower" (Shower of Feeling) is changed to "Pep Shower." I mean... it just sounds really weird. It's true that feeling (noun) is more appropriately translated as "kimochi" and "genki" is one of those words that is difficult to translate. In Japanese, you might ask someone "Genki desu ka?" which would translate to "How are you [feeling]?" and someone can respond "Genki!" which means something like "Good" or "Okay!" Like, everyone always describes Miaka Yuuki (Fushigi Yuugi) as "genki." Peppy might be a good word for it, but not in the context of a song... ! @_o

5: They kept the eye-catch (commercial break) sessions in! I'm impressed!

6: There are no other bonus features... since it's probably been a while since they've released the original Duel Monsters TV episodes on DVD, I bet the Japanese editions have special features-- why don't we get any?

In other news...
I've decided to try and upload things to DeviantART, but I really don't know what I'm doing. Anyone have any tips, suggestions, or a how-to page I can go to? All the pages and things to click on... I'm so confused!

I've been replaying "Sailor Moon: Another Story" lately, but I'm stuck in the Evil Forest-- okay, not "stuck" as in I don't know what to do and I can't beat the monsters (ridikulus!) but I'm stuck trying to find Neptune's A.Earrings. All the FAQs I read say that they're somewhere hidden in the trees in the southeast corner of the forest. Armed with my navigationally-inept brain and a map, I still can't find them. I found an empty treasure chest in the southeast corner of the forest, not that far from the traveling merchant, but... no A.Earrings. Help?

Mmm... I want chocolate chip cookies.
