^_^ What a day. I actually was awake around 6:15am, which is ungodly for me, even though I went to sleep at 11pm. Baba "woke me up" officially at 6:45, and I was dressed and ready by the time breakfast was served at 7am down in the kitchen. :) Baba's eggs with chives are yummy, but I wish she had blueberry or cherry blintzes...

Anyway, so after a lengthy drive down a looooong street, Grandpa and I got to Open House-- it's a big campus with lots of quads and fields and moderne-looking buildings. There was a lot of walking involved, but check-in was easy, and I got a lot of free swag-- even a nice new folder! It took forever for anything to start, but the weather was nice, so no one minded.

After the speeches (and one guy who looked like Woody Allen kept messing up; he even screwed up the title of a bestseller) we split off into our groups; I went with Arts, Media, and Communication, and later, with the journalism-specific group. We toured the broadcast studio, the offices of the daily (Mon-Thurs, anyway) paper, the Sundial, and some of the labs. It all looked great! After the '94 quake, a lot of the buildings collapsed completely, so the Journalism building (Manzanita) is BRAND F*IN NEW! :DDDD

We split early, after getting some info from FinAid and scoring a Subway lunch; after dropping everything off at home, I went to the Mall and spent looooads of money. Got Hot Gimmick #3 and Yu-Gi-Oh #4 (Kaiba is so damn evil!), along with the 3rd Shopaholic, a Free $ For College for Dummies, and... o_O Uhm... yeah! I was so proud of myself for not hitting up Borders... ^_^

Got several new shirts, a new dress for the Passover Seder, and probably even more stuff I've forgotten.

O_O! Holy crap, I have more money in my bank account than I thought! :DDD Yea, the refund went through! *does little dance* I can do more shopping! O_O But... what should I buy???

*yawn* I've been reorganizing a lot of sites related to Darkness Rising; I fixed the links and everything, and soon all animes with fanfiction on AMC will have their own separate fic directory, as opposed to the amc/fanfic directory, which causes a lot of problems with linkage. I also fixed the formatting on Darkness Rising's "Millennium Secrets" and made some edits for "The Joke's On You" (also uploaded to FFnet/MMorg). I've uploaded Teasers for what I was originally going to have as "Giftfics" (a great, complicated idea that never went anywhere). They are "Dragon Lore" and "Death and Absolution." Until they become full-fledged fanfics, they're only on my website.

Gah, I thought I posted this. :P Gotta sleep... once Conan The Barbarian is over.

hehe, cheesy masks = battle enemies!

Okay, so for "Prophecy Girl," I have to do a lot of research on Isis's (damn Style Guide tells me that s' is incorrect, but s's is NOT) deck, and the deck I want Tea to use in Battle City. So far, have found a lot of neat cards, but much research is still required. Yu-Gi-OhRealms no longer hosts info about the Japanese game, so does anyone know of an organized, reliable source that provides info on the Japanese cards (pref. with pictures?)

Guess what? There's a new booster set coming out-- soon, though I don't know exactly when. I'm definitely going to stock up on ANCIENT SANCTUARY, which uses a lot of Angel/Fairy and Light monsters; I can make both Isis and Anzu decks! ^_^ INVASION OF CHAOS was never that appealing to me, due to all the discard/remove from play things. I like DARK CRISIS though, because of the Archfiends and the possibility of a strong Bakura deck.

<3 All my fav fics are updating! YAYNESS. Okay, two are not *pokes authors* ... Riddles of The Heart (Atlantis2) and In The Sands of Egypt (Mamono). *pokes harder* HEY!!!
