WOW! What a great day! I mean, I started it out all tired and somewhat gloomy, "Bah, it's another day of work, of stuff to do and people to deal with..." and then I actually GO to work, and they forgot to put me on the schedule! Instead of getting mad that I went all the way there for nothing, I'm all "Whee!" cuz it's an unexpected free day off! :D 'Rageous!

So I headed downtown while mulling over the latest Peach Girl (Super Secret Summary Available Only on PeachGirlMomo and Peach_Girl MLs at Yahoo! Groups!) events. I can't believe it's ending this February! Final volume! Angst!! I hope Momo chooses Kiley... >_< Though something tells me that Ueda-sensei has something evil planned for my favorite wily bishounen. ;_;

Anyway, I head to Border's first, of course, and spend a good couple of hours there. Found this delightful Christmas Almanac thingy, which was so fun to read... I think it has every Christmas Carol I know in there... music and all. Plus there's history, crafts, and all this Victorian Scrap art. Very cool, but pricey... hardbound, see, with gold-lined pages... $25. :P But, I did get what I planned-- the Indiana Jones Boxed Set (Fullscreen) for my Dad, all nicely wrapped and such in time for Thanksgiving/Chanukkah this Thursday! Whee-ness! I got Fullscreen because Dad's got this dinky TV, and widescreen just SUCKS on it, especially if you watch stuff with captions like I do. He's got no reception out there on the ranch, you know, so he survives off DVDs. -.-; When he watches them.

Oh yeah, speaking of the ranch, the little crazy kitten named Taz is no longer Taz. Taz is now Bloop. Go on, say it out loud. Now say it three times. Try not to laugh. ^_^

BLOOP!

Also picked up this cheap Christmas decorating/craft guide for the bargain price of $3.99, and THE BAD GIRL'S GUIDE TO GETTING WHAT YOU WANT, which R0X0RZ! I think it's the second edition too, since the cover's lavendar rather than silver. o_O...?

ANYWAAAAAAAAAAY! I need your help!

Yes. I have a couple of projects I have thusly decided to begin. I gety oddly hyped up about the holidays, and since they're coming up, I might as well kill two... er, anyway, get motivated. About the holidays, and everything else. :D But, like I said, I need your help. Read on.

Calling all non-deaf people!

Okay, for all you radio/MP3/other music listeners! Going to LA this Thursday, I am. Technically this Wednesday, but same difference. :P Anyway, Road Trip is cause for some tunes! Now, a while ago, my Dad started this thing on Thanksgiving called the Turkey Tape. 'Tis a Sweet Family tradition, and I want to pass it on in the latest format! CDs! So I have a list of all the songs on the original tape (well, the '98 proof, anyway... there was an even older tape from the early 80s that got destroyed) that I plan to get... but...

I want an Original Collection CD and a New Collection CD. Filled with new favorites. Some of mine, some of Dad's... and some of yours! I'm specifically looking for songs that are good driving songs, songs that are catchy, popular, or good to sing-along with, and preferably all of the above in English. Suggestions are greatly appreciated, and anyone that sends me 5+ MP3s (in whatever method you prefer, but obviously direct access to a site is best) will get a special CD of their own! And I mean SPEEEECIAL! Just for YOU!! :D

Second thing for the music listeners... lately I've been in the Christmas-y spirit. I've always been the chipper, sing-y type. If my sister were still around, she could vouch for my screeching come the holidays. ^^; Anyway, so I'm looking for good renditions of Holiday Favorites. Short of blowing $30 on "NOW That's What I Call Christmas 2!" I'd like some suggestions! Be them old-songs (sung by Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, etc.) or new ones (Destiny's Child, TLC, 98 Degrees), I'd love to know! I want to compile a cool Christmas CD. I think it'd made a killer stocking stuffer. Anyone that helps out could always recieve a copy, should they wish.

The thing I need to work up is finding a good printer and a CD-labeling program... >_< I'm still saving up for the holidays right now, and recently, bills and a few other things have taxed my latest paycheck. So most of December will be devoted to saving... saving and cream cheese sandwiches. ^^; Joe has the best printer/CD labeler I've ever seen, so I need to get the name/model # of his again (damnit, deleted the message!) so I can check out prices and such. I'm hoping all the other stuff I want will magically appear on my doorstep/bedroom floor/living room floor when I wake up December 25th (to go to work). :P

Ooh, creativity strikes! I'm in the mood for making layouts and writing stories... I have to work on the PG summary, but that might take a while... some pivotal scenes are a bit complicated. Babelfish, here I come!

I believed I covered everything for now... This BAD GIRL is on her way out! Catch ya later babes!

Hohohohoh....

-.- Don't call me selfish; I'm trying to survive off 56K and 8 basic channels, here. Below are things that I CAN'T get at Border's or Virgin; they can only be gotten online. With my 56K engine and lack of time, it's kind of hard. Anyone that can find these AMVs/MP3s and burn them onto a CD for me... or even just point me to a place that hosts them... then let me know. I will LOVE YOU FOR LIFE and do some compie-related favor in return. Or I can get you free movie tix to the AMC 1000...

EDIT [11:26] : Sorted out some of the MP3s into categories, and pruned the list to strikeout the ones I have. Many thanks to those that responded immediately with help! :D

As with all good days, there has to be something bad about it... something's wrong with my computer, of course, and I don't know how to fix it. Sean says there is no way, that little light of hope that he is. -.-;

Basically, I have 39.8 MB of 41 unfinished KaZaA DAT files... the unfinished downloads of many MP3s and AMVs. I don't remember what all of them are; I'm so used to seeing the list just appear on my KaZaA when I start it up. I thought it was rather odd that said list didn't appear when I tried to download stuff today... this is the 2nd time it has appeared that my compie has experienced a case of time travel. Before, my Project Dolphin asked me to re-register... AUGH!

So before I delete all these files, someone tell me if there is something I can do to get KaZaA or some other proggie to download these DATs again. Sean says there's some LOG or INI missing, but I don't delete those kind of files... and likewise, I don't see any that pertain to that many DATs in the KaZaA Lite folder. HELP!!
