Just when things start to perk up...
Nov. 21st, 2003 12:02 pmThis was true the day I found out SFSU rejected me, and was true yesterday. I was starting to perk up despite my built-in self-deprication ability (ooh, big words! big words!) and believing what everyone said, thought, hey, "Why don't I beat the system and get into CSUN ANYWAY!?" Great idea, in theory. But it involves a lot of work (augh!) and change (O_O!) that I might not be ready for. But hey, this is life, come hell or high water, I'm gettin' my edumakation darnshootit! :D
So the theory is that I will send in the rest of my stuff (SFUSD, AP, and CCSF scores) to CSUN and then, if they do the same thing as State and say "Hey, you're a lower division transfer because of this here Japanese course, and you need to have 56 more credits from a COLLEGE before applying here..." I will tell them "Please ignore the Japanese course if it can't make up for my Semester 'D' in junior year of high school... I will take a competency test to prove I have 2 years backing on the Japanese requirement, and the requirement shall be waived." And then there's no reason for them not to admit me, right?! RIGHT!?!? -.-; I hope I can actually do all that. Methinks if I actually pull it off, I'll be cramming Japanese in my sleep.
Okay, I'm probably going to be late to work at this rate... but I surprisingly don't care that much. -.-;
Last night... er, after work, went to J-town and splurged some. Bought myself a Yu-Gi-Oh 2004 calendar (SETO-SAMA!!!!!!), the newest Peach Girl (OHHHHHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!) and the newest Wild Act (STEAMY!!). Plus there's the Anne Taintor collection-- that woman who takes 50s and 60s and whenever-styled artwork of women and adds those captions... the ones that look like those refrigerator-poetry magnets? The most famous one is probably the one of the blonde hugging this guy. She looks REALLY happy, and the caption says "She could feel a sin coming on..." >_< The book is hilarious. I wanna make a few of my own, with other images, of course.
Also went and bought myself a Magician's Force pack from the card shop...>_< Got a pretty good ultra rare, the Amazoness Swords Woman. So now I have 3 decks in mind -- Occult (so far, SUCKY!), Dragon (getting there), and Chick (Getting there). Teh WHEE! Just need a few sets of select cards, and I can WHOOP SOME CAN! :D
Also went to blockbuster and paid my late dues ($14!!!!! EEK!) and got 2 new movies-- er, old movies. Hercules from Disney, and Chain Reaction. Keanu Reeves = *dr00l* but I wish they'd had Johnny Nemonic in stock. ;_; *sigh* I saw Chain Reaction before, but not JN. Joe came over and we watched both movies, the latter over a duel which I lost quickly and miserably.
Uhm... yeah. Gonna be late now. PG17 translation and more coming later!! :D
