>_< !!!
Okay, so I thought to myself, "Ely-nee-sama's right, I have to fight these CSU idiots tooth and nail. Because my teeth and nails are in bad enough shape as is," Haha. Kidding about that last bit. Well, I do bite my nails, but that's another story.
Anyway, so I checked out the CSUMentor and CSUN sites, to see if there was anything that the SFSU people said that held true for THAT campus as well. See, I knew CSUN didn't have a spring semester for freshmen (only upper division transfers, I believe), so I figured, "Gee, if I REALLY want to get out of SF that badly, I have to wait until Fall." Not a bad choice, considering I'd get free room and board, plus a mall less than 3 blocks away. ^_^
Anyway, flip side is that they, like all the other CSUs, have the same policy for the foriegn language-- 2 years or equivalent competency. And they're going to look at my D in Japanese 3-4, Second Semester, and go "Nuh-uh. Not at our school." They're going to see my transcript from City College, where I tried to make up said semester, with a bright, shiny "A" on it-- for Elementary Japanese. As the SFSU lady said, "A beginner's course." So I'm thinking this is what I can do... send in the transcripts and scores anyway (potentially wasting more money) but say "Hey, if you guys don't want to let me PROVE that I have competency in Japanese (i.e. take some sort of test so I can get the requirement waived) then let me take the course you want and get in come Fall, when I'll have a transcript." Because I can sign up for the Spring class, be out by Summer, and ta-da... transcript! Of course, I don't know why they'd make such a grandoise exeception for one person... but obviously my chances of getting admitted to SFSU are shot, and frankly SFSU pisses me off right now.
GOOOOOOOOOO CSUN!
