Ah, last night Joe came over with a movie and a crackload of food. We cooked. Oh boy, did we cook. It wasn't a 30 minute recipe as Food Network said it was, but then again, I'm picky and Joe had problems with the chicken. Or something. I would have been even worse at cutting chicken, and in the end, it all tasted delicious, so this is Not A Complaint.

We watched "Stitch the Movie" prior to cooking a single thing; it was pretty short and simply reiterated all the moving, ooey-gooey, family-mush moments from the first movie-- hence the reason why it was released direct to DVD/VHS. Not many songs, either, I noticed-- but of course, 625, the sandwich-making experiment, rocked. "Ham or tuna?" *giggles* That was funny. I swear, his voice actor must be some random guy from the studio-- maybe an animator or something.

Then we got to cooking-- lots of preparation involved, and in the end, one really messy griddle and a lot of dishes. But we had a lot of good food-- red onion and honey mustard sauce-basted grilled chicken *whew* and my own recipe of peach cobbler. :) Then came "Identity," which I rented from Blockbuster-- pretty good movie, I just didn't like the end, because it didn't seem very fulfilling. That kind of thing REALLY irks me a lot lately, and it's going to start showing in my writing... *hint hint*

Ah hah! ABC has an alternative network acronym (Liz, you'll love this one): Ass-bashin' chicks! I say so because E! Online predicts ABC as the network to replace its rep with a slew of ass-kicking women. :) I like it, I like it, I LIKE IT! *g* I can't wait until Alias returns!

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache, and a numerousity (word?) of other aches and pains-- and for some odd reason, "Melodies of Life" set to the tune of "Wind's Nocturne," the latter being from Lunar Silver Star Story, and the former being from Final Fantasy IX. o_O Odd, huh? I had some weird dreams, too, but none I care to analyze or remember this time around. Beside, this headache is f*cking with my head. Of course, that's what it's supposed to do.

I remember when I was a kid, I used to believe that there were these little people, elves or somesuch, running around doing everything in your body. Like, when you get a headache, it means there's a bunch of them up there in your head, banging on the sides of your skull with a million steel hammers. ^^; Nice enough image for you?

Ah, so there's a bunch of shows this fall that are seemingly exact rips of other series; heck, there's one import from the wonderful channel known as BBC that sounds EXACTLY like Friends... o_O But what I wanna see is Fox's new show, "Tru Calling" featuring my fav-babe-slayer, Eliza Dushku! *whee!* It's like Quantum Leap and Early Edition (and maybe even Groundhog Day) in the sense that college grad (Dushku) has the ability to relieve each day-- and presumably fix whatever went wrong. Prreeeety cool.

Okay, shows to watch this season:
* Smallville (of course) - Read what I wrote for Alias. It's the same thing.
* Enterprise (eh, mebbe) - I missed a lot of last season, but I'm a wannabe Trekkie, so I can't help myself!
* Alias (DUH!) - After that last season finale, I'm going to axe the writer if he doesn't fix it, and fix it WELL!
* Angel (hrmmm) - It's going against Jake 2.0, which sounds cool, but... hey, you know me, Angel beats all.

AWW CRAP! Just found out Smallville's playing when Enterprise is. *sniff* Well, if I have to choose, I will pick Smallville, no matter how much I like Scott Bakula. (Wednesdays, 8pm) Smallville is followed by Angel. <3

* Tru Calling is on FOX Thursdays, 8pm-9pm. I never watched anything on Thursdays before. YAAAY. :)

CRAP! Alias is on the same time as Charmed! ;_; Last season's charmed might have destroyed Leo, though! *cry* AUGH! Alias is the winner, of course, but... *sniff* Damnit, I need TiVO!!! Sundays on ABC at 9pm.

Ohh, mysterious hottie from Freaky Friday turns out to be very familiar to WBers (not me-- I watch all of TWO shows on the WB-- Angel and Smallville) -- he played the college jerk in Dawson's Creek, Tristan of Gilmore Girls fame, and the Lone Ranger himself in the WB's remake of the show. His name? *dr00lage* Chad Michael Murray.

Not sure what's on the gameplan today-- probably more cleaning up and creativity-- awards MUST be made, more reorganization of Dead Files... I should search for separate scanners/printers so I know what's compatible with my comp, instead of wandering around lost with no specs when I go to a place like Comp USA or Office Depot. And of course, my clean clothes mountain needs to be sorted through, so I can pick out clothes I won't wear anymore, along with clothes that need to be hung up. Yeesh, and with less than one week till the wedding, I really have to assemble Brooke's scrapbook-- oh yeah, I gave up on the (undoubtedly would have been expensive) handmade scrapbook idea, but the Sandylion kit I found at Hobby Co. seems to work well-- sad thing was, I returned the one I originally got because of some black muck on it-- and a girl at the store erased it! ^_^ I was thrilled, but wished *I'd* thought of it before I'd made that trek-- my feet still hurt from those stupid shoes! Speaking of, I should look into getting gel insoles, or at the least, stuffing the toes with cotton.

Gaugh, and I need a shower to relax right about now... pre-all that junk I just mentioned. I'm so achey... Part of me is pretty freaked out though-- Wednesday is almost here! I think I should bring my uniform to work... >_> Wednesday, 7-10:30... yeah. ~_~ Plus I have to arrange some sort of get-together with all the girls... Eva, Steph, eeeeeverybody. :) Par-tay. Ooh, which is perfect, since Harry's going to see Rochelle, Eva's leaving not long after that... I KNOW I KNOW-- give Eva the Circle Journey Book Joe found for me (whee!) and maybe have her send it off to Rochelle after that? I need Roro's address, though. o_O Hm.

And lastly but not leastly... does anyone know how to get baked-on-grill scum off a grill? I mean one of those slap-on-your-oven grills, not like an outside, ah-just-put-foil-over-it grills. ^^; I tried baking soda AND powder with Vinegar, which seemed to help a LITTLE... o_O Anyone know what will work best for removing charred crud? It would be much appreciated. Matter of fact, I'd like to find out just what run-of-the-mill household items can do. :)

Well, the shower is calling to me, so I'm going to jet...

Positron
Positron -- You are the anti-matter equivalent of
an electron. You are frentic and excitable like
the electron, but you have an unpleasant
personality and tend to destroy everything you
come in contact with. On the bright side
though, you are very cool. You like hanging out
with Anti-Protons.

What kind of subatomic particle are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

How did I know I was going to get this? The description from Liz's journal seemed to fit me... Hehe, pretty cool quiz. A lot more intelligent than the rest of them out there on Quizilla. Props to the writer!

Huh. (They're short, but poignant.) I'm not sure whether shorter entries are better-- they don't tell you that much, but then, they don't rant like I do. Hehe, sorry? But tell me what you make of this. Angry in the twenty minutes it took him to drive home from my house. *sigh* He's not even doing it consciously, I hope/think/believe, but still, it's like a guilt-trip. I'm asking myself, what the hell did I do now? Being at fault is never a nice feeling.

;_; I want Style. Network! ;_; Clean House sounds like such a ridiculously cool show! Is it possible to get only a FEW channels of cable for a relatively low price? ^^;; What am I thinking, such UNnecessities!

Okay, so I lied about taking the shower NOW. Bad Mer, bad. But quizzes, email... just a few more things to do before I log, promise. Speaking of promises, I have promised myself to:
a) actually work on what I say I will work on
b) not call Lonnie because then I *will* be a Pest
and
c) be genki and love what I do at work, because it's the only way to have fun licking the boots of fellow moviegoers.

You know what's weird? What's that saying-- uhm, "Learn from your mistakes, because you're not around long enough to make them all yourself?" Something like that, which basically includes learning from other's mistakes. Or looking at what other people do, and then applying it to your life. I mean, how many times have you been in a class and wondered why in the heck you would use some random fact/formula In Real Life? It's like that. I bitch and whine about stuff, and then one of my friends or acquaintances or whatnot has a SIMILAR situation, and I'm looking back and thinking-- woah, before I reprimand or say anything to this other person, maybe I oughta look at myself. *whistles* I'm pretty lucky, in retrospect, I guess. But, as they say, hindsight is always 20/20... Teenagers live really f*cked up lives. There's not enough real stuff made for us, you know?

Finally... I should get to working on drabbles and ficlets. If just to get my creative juices flowing. I gotta pick 5 good CDs and listen to them while I work on Brooke's scrapbook. I need to find the invitation, too, so I can spell her fiancee's name right-- I think it's Michael, but we've been calling him Honus since last Passover, I think...
