HEEEEEEEEEY! Hello. Back again. >_> I know I should be getting to sleep soon, but I took a nap when I got home (I almost fell asleep on the bus!) and am still waiting another 20 minutes for my new apple crisp to finish cooking. I decided to make another one tonight, I guess to bring on the Road Trip, or at the very least to bring to Dad at work tomorrow. But let me recall today.
Let's see, I was quite popular with the guys, today! *laughs* Harry, Joe, and Sung all called and wanted to get together-- Harry to get his CDs back, Sung to see me ('cause we hadn't seen each other since gradution) and Joe because he had a 2 hour between-class break. Harry came first and pretty much raped my meager 56K talking on AIM and such... we barely interacted. Matter of fact, I was playing Persona 2, and was working on Joker Noriko when Sung came. I died again, of course, because stupid Joker Noriko surprises me with her sudden Absolute Zero attack, to which Katsuya (the only character that survives) is weak. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to train. Sucky thing is, spreading rumors in the game alters the game path, and I messed up by not spreading this one rumor that would have enabled me to get a crapload of cool items. Oh well.
Sung and I talked-- made sandwiches and bagels before we were about to leave. I don't really get why Harry stuck around as long as he did; at first Sung and I thought we were going to get a ride from him, but Harry had to find his brother back at Wash, while Sung and I wanted to go near the Haight, to get Sung a job application. We took longer leaving because Sung asked me to read his fortune. By the time I was finished, Sung had that look on his face that I recognize all too well-- "What the heck, how do the cards know THAT?" On the bus ride there (we waited for the 28, but it took so long, so we took the 5... just as the 28 was pulling up) Sung explained his situation, and I tried to offer some further advice, but there's really an extent to what I can do to help people; most people have to take action themselves, you know? I just sort of nudge them in the right direction, if you know what I mean. ^_^ Still, helping people (with advice and that kind of thing) is kind of nice.
We waited on the 5 till we got to Masonic, and dashed across the street to catch a 43 Masonic-- then we walked to the cafe or whatever Sung wanted to work at-- unfortunately, the manager he was supposed to meet had left! I hope he finds him tomorrow, when the manager is supposed to be there in the morning. After that, we walked to the N stop (we switched from waiting at the 71 stop, and switched from one N to another) to go downtown, where Sung has his dance class-- I was so sleepy by then, I was waiting for the 5 next to the "Gentleman's Club" (not a pretty neighborhood, let me tell you!) and woke up sporadically before I got home.
Immediately took a nap; both Dad and Mom called. Mom was at Macy's using her gift card and visiting friends of hers in the area; Dad wanted to arrange for tomorrow. Oh yeah! So I was talking to Taz about my bad job karma, and he suggested I not be so picky about jobs-- and try theaters and supermarkets. So I applied online to AMC Theaters, but Taz said they always disregard online applications. Well, the manager at the AMC 1000 called me the very next day (this morning) and arranged for an interview tomorrow! YAY! So I'm going to dress nice, find my schmancy resume, and hope that goes well. >) After that, I'm going to take the 47 or the 49 to the Civic Center BART, to Fruitvale, then hop an AC Transit 50 to Alameda High, to meet my dad! He said he'd pay me $50 to help him clean out the classroom! Whee, spending money for the mall! I hope, anyway. Yeah, so wish me luck with tomorrow. Haha, I still have to pack for the weekend.
Mm, crisp is starting to smell yummy! I made a crust this time (what a mess!) and cut up the apples into smaller chunks. I also mixed the brown sugar with the rolled oats this time (as opposed to sprinkling it with the white sugar on TOP of the apples) so that turned out alright... plus I added raisins! It looks to be yummy! I suppose it won't hurt to have a little bit tonight, right? *grin*
I've been making my "grand reappearance" on AIM these past couple of days-- people have actually been noticing I'm gone! It was kind of surprising. Sadly, no one's talking to me now... *sniff* I'm kinda lonely.
I added another scene to the intro of my new HYD fic, "In the Spotlight," the HYD fic about Tsukushi joining a performing arts company. >) I hope I can figure out to get past the class introduction and into the actual classes; anyone that has experience in dance and the like might want to help me out so I don't butcher it! Otherwise, all that I write will be based off what I find online or do research of.
Yay, the crisp is finished! I'm going to wait a while for it to cool before I grab a slice. ~_~ You know, I don't do too much online anymore, which I'm not sure is a good thing or not. I suppose I can check out KingsOfChaos because I've been ignoring it for a while. But I'm not particularly into one fandom or another (playing video games will do that to you) so writing and webpaging is out. I'm not feeling very "gushy" with the creativity now.
Let's see... things to pack for this weekend:
2 days worth of clothing (I suppose it'll be warm, so comfortable, light clothes)
Somethings for the 8 hour road trip-- logic puzzles, a few books, sketchbook, Elemental book
Cell phone
Bath stuff (shampoo, toothbrush-- I always forget my toothbrush!)
Maybe some blank CDs or floppies? Grandpa and Baba have that cool ass computer with DSL now! >)
Anything else? I don't have a working CD or tape player, unfortunately, so it's probably going to be Dad's cassettes or the radio the whole way there.
GAAAAAAAH! Tomorrow is almost here!! I mean, it will be here, in 24 minutes! EEK! Interview, and road trip, and bart, and money, and, and, and!! I don't know why, I'm kind of nervous. I'm actually getting tired again though, amazingly.
AAAH! Delicious apple crisp! >) I love myself. Doesn't look like SFSU has any sort of food preparation classes though. *sniff* Or maybe there are, but these course descriptions are just too bland for me to understand them.
Whee, I was just thinking of Jeremy, and he IMd me! Cool. Well, to be honest, not much to say more... I think I'll log now...
Have a nice Labor Day weekend, everybody! WEAR WHITE! HAH!
