I couldn't sleep, so I got up to play Persona 2-- Joker Ulala kicked my ass. Methinks I should train more, but you know with RPGs, every time you see "GAME OVER" in those big looming (often glowing) letters, it tears away a bit of my resolve.

Decided to hop online and look for Persona 2 fics-- only 2 decent ones I've found so far, one at FFnet (SHOCK! Can't remember the title though) and another one "Nocturne," that took some navigating to get to. Also, chaoslace has some cool fanart and fanfiction that I'm browsing through now-- maybe I should add Persona to my Interests list! =D You know, the clients for LJ really ought to have an interest-editing thing. And paid member or no, I should be able to search (easily and specifically) for communities. They just have to make everything a pain in the ass, don't they?

Made a few Persona 2 LJ icons, but I don't know how satisfied I am with #2 - Ulala. They use song lyrics I like. =P I might debut the Maya one soon, since hers looks nice. Which one to get rid of then (yes, me and my free account only have THREE lousy icons! Go me!) ... hmm... leaning towards "Perfect World," since the anime one is so nice and general (and I made it!) and the Ashton "plz die kthx" one is just too funny. >)

There was a site that had modifications for free LJ accounts- I'm getting so bored of the watermelon color scheme that I really should go back there and change it. CSS isn't that hard, really, and I did want to make the colors nice... *scheme scheme*

Reminder-- new fic ideas-- 1 HYD, 1 YGO, and POSSIBLY one Persona. I'm getting confused by all the different game references though-- I understand how there were OTHER Persona games, and the direct prequel to ETERNAL PUNISHMENT is INNOCENT SIN, but what came before that? Does it matter? Wtf is "Batsu?" @_@...

Gug... I really should take a shower soon. I wonder how damaged my hair is from that swim today, anyway.

Persona: Be Your True Mind = Persona 1 (also called Megami Ibunroku I think)
Persona 2: Innocent Sin = Actual sequel to Persona.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment = Not really a sequel..more like Persona 2.5

Innocent Sin / Tsumi = Crime
Eternal Punishment / Batsu = Punishment

To understand some a bit of the older (Nate/Ellen/Brad/etc) cast, you'd have to play Persona 1. Guido and Nyarlathotep were also from the first game. The other references involving Tatsuya, Jun, etc., reading a little background info on Innocent Sin would help, or the fan translation of the game. Ooor Dolie's Persona site, if that's still online, and DDS Net messageboard. Too bad Anipike took down the old links that had both of those sites listed.

I haven't touched either of the games in over a year. Both (Persona 1 and P2:EP) are pretty much at the final dungeons. >_

Have you played Innocent Sin then? What is with the disappearing barbell reference? No matter what they say, the brief summaries of what happened in IS don't do much for all the weird happenings-- especially the barbell, as well as Maya's "moment" looking at the plane in the Sky Museum. *confused*

Nope. So impossible to find an original copy, even a pirated copy is impossible. I thought I finally got a copy once, buying a $15 bootleg labeled as Innocent Sin with the cover art at the little store on Sacramento St. but it turned out to be Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition. WORSE FATAL FURY GAME EVER.

I don't know the littler (like those) myself. Unless the fan translation site didn't translate every dialogue that occured in IS, they should have something on it. I could fetch the link if I go onto my Mac again.
