I'm ready for my closeup...
Aug. 13th, 2003 02:16 pmBusy, busy, busy.
Woke up, called mom to ask her if she'd pick up my Walgreen's prescription -- of course, she had to get all reporter on me (hey! that's my job) and ask me WHICH prescription it was... blah, blah. Well, if she didn't know before, she knows now-- I wasn't talking about ALLEGRA when I said "my pills!" ;_; Yeesh. This better not be one of those weird confrontation-leads-to-an-argument things. If Mom hasn't known that I've been on the Pill all this time, I'll tell her straight out. And besides, I have a perfectly normal reason to use it-- to regulate! Isn't that why plenty of girls use it? Blah. I just can't help but be a little nervous.
Okay, so I uploaded Part 1 of "What It Takes," my first Hana Yori Dango fanfiction, to FFnet. I'll look around to uploading it to some other HYD sites, namely the HYD Garden, where I get my fics... ^_^ I'll also post it to the HYDML when I get a chance. I revised it totally from my original idea, since I had this inspiration last night, which ended up turning itself into the first chunk of the fic. Go me.
Speaking of last night... lessee, Joe came over, and we rented Terminator 2 (they didn't have Evita at Blockbuster! AUGH!) ... but despite the cool packaging and all, it seems as though they have so many different versions of the DVD that this one is somewhat of a rip-- unless you have a DVD-ROM, which I do *not* at least not anymore... I wonder how much it costs to repair a DVD-ROM. Anyway, I might try to watch it again, to see if Interactive Mode or that weird "the future is not set" trick do anything. I probably should have tried those out BEFORE we watched the movie to begin with... I was taking notes and pausing it all the time...
Also got my arse HANDED to me at You Don't Know Jack 5th. *sniff* I came so close, but then I got reckless! Life's not fair. This is what I get when I brag, anyway. In return, Joe paid for Chinese food (Cashew Chicken, Rice, and Potstickers! YUM!) What else? Also showed Joe these Tarot things on my computer... my old CyberTarot one is really good in terms of explanation (in contrast to WiseTarot) but it's got a weird-ass deck! Reminded both of us of the Matrix, so we got inspired for new Tarot decks! Fan decks, of course. And they've probably been done before, but I'm all for doing them again! Mer-style!
On a website marathon here... let's see, there's eteenauctions.com, where I signed up for the forums... if my Gensomaiden Saiyuki Tarot Cards and Sapphire Earrings (which have nothing to do with GSMDS) don't sell there, then there's always eBay! I have to get my user name resent to me though... >_> I'm just worried the place might abuse personal info, so I didn't sign up for the auction site itself. Also linked through to real-bitches.net, which has a HUGE collecitve of subsites I'm interested in-- brushes, graphics, the whole nine yards. Looks to be fun to explore. Rockstar Magazine is a zine-zine that has several cool things to it, even though I don't have AOL or a zine of my own... that'd be a bit much, eh? ^^; Finally, I've been back at Aria's Ink, and entered the X-Mas fic competition there... it looks to be interesting, given that a) it uses dub names, and b) Serena's kind of a cynic. ^^; But she's working at the information desk at the mall in the midst of Christmas mayhem! This oughta be fun!
I don't really get the Aria's Ink formatting though... I might need to go through all my stories and hand-edit them. That's the one thing I really don't like about AI, is not being able to upload HTML-- I do at FFnet, and that's why all my stories are so much NEATER.
Oh yeah! So while I'm at Blockbuster yesterday, GUESS who finally decides to CALL ME! Jonathan. Urgh, so he's been like, "busy," the past two weeks-- one week I know he was on his backpacking trip, and this past week, his Dad came back from China, and school's starting soon... >_> I don't know. I don't want to give up a good thing before I've really "got it," but likewise, I was beginning to think of myself as being single again, enjoying that sort of feeling that came with it. I don't feel very tied down to Jonathan to begin with, since he doesn't talk much, doesn't call me or contact me, blah blah... so whatever, he's like this, "friend." Quotes included.
I'm actually looking forward to Friday, Jonathan or no. It will be the last time I see Jeremy, who I will miss A LOT... I also hope to get more tickets and get my new lava lamp! I actually have a craving for Subway and cookies again, so yay! *dr00lage* Oatmeal Raisin ... yum!
A'ight, lots more to do, not enough time... better get dressed and drop off my prescription already.
