She inspired me to start work on PSV again, and my initial pissed-off-edness came back wholeheartedly when reminded that someone else stole my idea to scanlate the Sailor V manga. But she did a bad job at it-- the images were small and hard to see, their quality sucked, the translations were terrible, the font wasn't comic-style at all, and she reversed the damn images to make it Amrican, which ruined a LOT of stuff! Grr... So PSV is back; I renewed the Yahoo! Groups membership and will proceed to enlist Chibi's help in repromoting it. Yeah, and if anyone wants to help -by donating fonts, photoshopping images or coloring in manga... or even just promoting it to websites, groups, MLs, cliques, etc. then please talk to me!
Mm, today I ended up taking my nap until 7:30ish... then I came online and here I've been ever since. Been talking to Will, Taisuke, and now, a bit to Chibi and Shawn... though Shawn seems to want me to talk to him more. *sigh* Not that I don't want to, but I've been pretty busy with a lot of things lately, I often don't know when he's on, and hate using the Alerts system anymore. I dunno.
I finally finished Part 3 of "Perfect World" (please please please please please read it if you like Star Ocean! Will, especially, I need your critical opinion!) and have posted it to Fanfiction.net... So please go and check it out! I only have 4 reviews... ;_; I know I have to come up with a WAFF story (not to mention graphics and a layout for the SMRFF page... and keep working on Dream a Dream (Inuyasha). Mm, all of them are at Fanfiction.net, and I have to get to having my own fics hosted at my many sites, too. GARGH! Hopefully Chibi can help me with some layout ideas, because I've been thinking about launching the Digital Rena edition of Blacklight Arcade's "Uminosei." I kinda wanna go and play SO2 now... Hmm...
Speaking of Chibi, her [latest] gorgeous page is Moon Quartz Productions, which will host a radio play of Full Moon O Sagashite, one of my many latest anime addictions! The manga is beautiful too, and I adore the music... X_X So I'm thinking of trying out for the part of Full Moon (the main character's older self... a singer)! I've been doing a lot of "daring" things like that lately, and hopefully it'll keep my confidence up and keep me busy. Now I just have to get the guts to sing the first line of "Myself" while recording on my computer... so I can send in a seiyuu app to the webmistress (Chibi, I think) and *gulp* maybe do my first radio play!
Tomorrow is finally Friday... I'll find out whether I made it into Media Academy... I'll go to Richter's and In-N-Out to give them my application and get those references I need (though the more I think about it, what good does listing clerical work do when I just want to work at a fast food place?!). Mm, yeah. So I should be at RTA early. But I won't be able to stay late or go to any movies, I think, since I'm supposed to meet Taisuke Saturday afternoon *gulp* Damn, where's Roro when I need her!? AUGH! I'm so paranoid!!
Gwah, I spoiled Will's birthday surprise. Mom's not mad at me anymore, so I figure she'll follow through on our long-plotted out discussion of Fanime 2k3. I don't want her to come though... the whole deal was that I'd be 18, could take care of myself, and only needed mom (sounds like I'm using her, but technically if I get into Media Academy, she won't even be paying for anything) to make the room reservations, as she works for Westin. Mm, so I told Will because I needed confirmation that he could even go, and waiting till his birthday would make it look like I forgot about his bday entirely. I guess I'll get him some initialD stuff. I know some people in Japan that could import stuff for me if I really needed it. Gawrsh, I'm nice. X_X But I have connections! w00t!
Yeah, I suck at keeping those kind of delish secrets. Other secrets, all well and good-- sometimes, too good. Is that bad for a wannabe journalist like myself? Hehe... >_> Well, I'll be working on more sites to add to "Click Picks" tomorrow, and eventually get around to finish my SFUSD Internet Restrictions article, too. Gawds, I should practice what I preach when it comes to deadlines. Being late won't fly at a real magazine or newspaper! *fret*
Oh yesh, back to Fanime-- we need more people to come with us! There's me, Will, and hopefully Amber. If I get into media academy, I can register either both Amber AND Will or just Will and pay for the entire hotel room. This would save people the trouble of having to deal with my mom to pay *her* back, but I'd probably be just as annoying. >_> Yeah, money's always an issue with me. Anyway, I'm trying to get away with the 2 person rate for Fanime, while squeezing 8 people into the room, like Vince and Co. did last year. Mom swore off doing Fanime for other people again, which is why I'm just getting one room and willing to share it with some friends. The 2 person rate is $99/night (2 nights... no one is allowed to stay just one night and pay less, because that creates too much of a hassle. You leave early, you pay for the full 2 nights) and total, about $198. With tax, around $205. With the "legal" number of people for that price, each person pays $102.50. However, you can always sneak 4 people in a two person room, since the double beds always fit two people, and there's usually a small couch or recliner, not to mention a decent amount of floor space. Ergo, with 4 people, the 2 person rate is down to $51.25 for the WHOLE WEEKEND. With 8 people, it's $25.63. Compare that to the 4 person rate ($99/night for two nights, plus $5 for each extra person, up to 4 people total) -- $198 + $10 (two extra people) = $208 (unless it's $20 extra, because the rate is $5/night for each extra person...?) and with 4 people, each person pays $52... or with 8 people, each person pays $26. It's a small difference, and it may seem excessive, but the truth is, hardly everyone is in the room at the same time... I'm a night owl myself and am prone to sleeping in late (till 9am ish, on con days when good panels start early) and staying up later (like 3am) and going swimming or something.
Hehe, speaking of which, me and Amber are prolly going to try and teach Will to swim! Any excuse for me to get a new bathing suit, really, the bikini-ish thing I have is uber-small now... and the hibiscus pattern is so old... X_X Hey, another thing Will might like (and be damn good at, if he wanted) would be the Fanfiction Panel. If he were on it, I might consider joining myself, since normally the panel consists of much older GUYS, never younger females. Will's close to my age, so that'd make things somewhat more comfortable. All the juicy details on this are at www.fanime.com So if you want to join in, let me know! But you better be comfortable with a) bringing $4.75 for one way transportation to Santa Clara, unless you/a family member is willing to drive some/all of us and not expect reimbursement for gas money; b) having money for food, because it does get pricey, and the nearest fast food places are a good mile away; c) sleeping in a room with 7 other people, and possibly on the floor (bring a sleeping bag!); d) running around like a mad otaku because there's "so much to do so much to see so many people so many otaku so much to buy omigod omigod!!" hehe... ^_^
It's only 10:38. Yay me. I think I recounted everything that happened in the past several hours. Go me! I can't wait till tomorrow!

2) even for vets of the con (like me, I suppose) it's never fun to realize you missed something because they rescheduled something, there's a line, or the rooms got moved
3) regardless of how close the places are and how much cheaper than the hotel food (and lord knows the selection is better) it's not easy to get there, order, and get out and back to the con in under 10 minutes, which you can usually do when ordering from the concession bars, the restaurant, or the sports bar. >_> Call me biased... I'd rather cook food and bring it there, like the plan was last time.
