Have you ever wondered what it was like to get away with murder? Or possibly win the lotto? Believe it or not, I think they're a very similar feeling, and you can experience it now without having to break any laws or spend a fortune on $1-2 tickets for a one-in-over-a-million chance on winning the lotto!
Here's how:
Download the MacHeist 3 Bundle.
Here's the deal: you get 14 applications for $39 (I participated in the Missions, so I got $8 off-- 14 apps for only $31! A STEAL!).
That in itself should be shocking, because very few quality Mac programs are $39 ON THEIR OWN. Some are, and they're full of win and awesome, but it's still ONE program for that much or near that much. Not 14.
All of these programs have a total retail value of over $900!
$900!
Last year, the total value of the programs wasn't near so much, and they sold the bundle for $49. Now there are cooler programs, more of them, and it's only $39!
To make it even better:
* 25% of your purchase goes to up to 10 charities, including the World Wildlife Federation, AIDS Research, Cancer research, and others.
* Some of the best apps are "unlockables," so the more people that buy, the more apps YOU get! And if you buy now (like, RIGHT NOW), you get a bonus app, "Big Bang Board Games." Even if you buy now, you'll still get the license codes for when enough bundles are sold for the unlockables to be... well, unlocked.
What you get:
* iSale -- generate beautiful eBay auction listings for the Mac. Also keep track of your sales with a handy Dashboard widget!
* Picturesque -- why pay for Photoshop when you can do the vast majority of image editing tweaks necessary with Picturesque?
* Sous Chef --
katia325, this is probably why you should buy a Mac. The ultimate program for chefs and cooking enthusiasts of all flavors, Sous Chef can organize everything from your recipes downloaded from sites to your grocery list pre-spree. Comes with a delicious new icon!
* World of Goo -- like Spore + Lemmings + Flubber, but better. An awesome puzzle games featuring... yeah, GOO!
* PhoneView -- For iPhone people. Sync all your data. ALL OF IT. Make good use of your iPhone, like, really. I think it might work with iPod Touches, too, but I'm not sure.
* Little Snapper -- For screencasting and screen shots, Little Snapper is your tool. Does what few other (if ANY) screenshot programs for the Mac does, which is why I'm super-excited about it. Take snapshots of whole webpages? YES! Share screens with a friend, simply and easily? YES! Why not snap with Little Snapper?
* Acorn -- I'm a nut *knock knock* I'm a nut, I'm a nut, I'm a nut. *knock knock* Actually, Acorn is a photo editor built for normal people. You get a simple, organized interface with all the tools you need for touching up your photos, adding text or shapes, tweak layers, and more.
* Kinemac -- Awesome 3D imagery. A powerhouse of a program for a fraction of the price. Get your start in 3D animation or just spice up a Keynote/PowerPoint presentation!
* WireTap Studio -- All sounds, all the time. Any sound, anywhere. Record your voice, record the sounds of your Mac, record and mix selected tracks. An unlockable app. Once MacHeist raises $100,000 for charity, this will be unlocked!
* BoinxTV -- The very program they used for the MacHeist 3 Bundle Reveal screencast-- an awesome program for wannabe-producers, video editors, vloggers, or anyone else looking to put themselves out there on video. An unlockable app. Once MH raises a certain amount (probably $250,000 or $500,000) for charity, this will be unlocked!
* The Hit List -- I've played with this as a Getting Things Done app, and after a long period of time tweaking it and listening to tons of users on how to make it the best To-Do program it can be, a final, polished first release is out as a Mega-Unlockable duo! Forget all those Post-It notes-- get THL!
* Espresso -- The other half of the Mega-Unlockable Duo, Espresso is webpage editing for the people that do it the old school way-- by code. Code, preview, and publish, all within one handy program that's super-flexible.
* Big Bang Board Games -- The bonus app for those that buy early (the first 25,000 shoppers, and since 3,532 have already been sold, GET ON IT!), an awesome compilation of seven favorite board games, including Mancala, 4-in-a-Row and Chess with some great twists and delectable graphics.
* EventBox -- Just for checking out the site, grab this super-speshul-awesome app that combines RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and more! Check everything in one place, and post updates, too! I've already begun using this and I love it! (This app is why I made a torrent of tweets today.)
**BONUS** Cro-Mag Rally - A kart racing game set in prehistoric times. Watch out for that T-Rex!
**BONUS** Delicious Library 2 - Inventory everything. EVERYTHING. Scan books, DVDs, comics, tools, toys, you name it! Great for getting organized. You can even use a built-in iSight to scan barcodes, or you can use a wireless or USB barcode scanner, like a modified old-school CueCat!
**BONUS** Multiwinia - Stop the evil stick men from destroying the galaxy with your awesome firepower.

Date: 2009-03-25 03:24 pm (UTC)Judging by all the changes and improvements made from when I was actually using it to now (the screencast for MacHeist), I think it'll be awesome if it gets unlocked. It'll be a great value and a good productivity program.
And I forgot you were a Mac user too! Go download the bundle! 'Tis full of win and awesome!
