Ah, stupid Blockbuster. Because of the release of T3, they moved every copy of Terminator and Terminator 2 (even the super-cool metal-alloy deluxe edition of T2!) onto the shelves beneath the new release. Every copy, even the 1984 release of T1 on VHS was rented out. *sigh* But I was really kickin' for some action, not to mention Schwarzenegger, so I went back to the Action section and got myself "Predator." I was almost tempted to get "Eraser," or even "Total Recall," but they just didn't look quite so... Schwarz-y. =P

Also spotted the original "The Fast and The Furious" on DVD, so I scored that-- both weekly rentals, but I watched them both tonight, starting with "Predator" and finishing off with TF squared. OMG, what a good choice! Reasons why I like Action--
(1) unlike horror, you can't predict who's going to die (when) by the beginning of the movie
(2) there's usually a pretty decent reason for action taking place (plausible, that is)
(3) hotter people in action movies!

Hehe. So figure it this way, there's Schwarzenegger on one end of the scale, he's an extreme, and then there's people like... uh, I dunno, Urkel on the other end. All the best actors, hotties, performers, and even fictional characters are somewhere around the middle. People like Ranma Saotome, and... *giggle* Paul Walker.

Yep, it's official, the original TF squared has turned me into a Paul Walker fangirl. I don't care what people say, Vin Diesel was not the star of the first TF. I don't know why people thought they couldn't pull off 2F squared without him; he was a great character, a fabulous presence, and don't get me wrong-- the first movie OWNED the second, but... still, Paul Walker is sooooo much more worthy of my drool.

This coming from the girl that never bought Teen Bop magazine, never had a poster of any teenage heartthrobs on her wall (well, I think maybe ONE time I had a pic of JTT on my wall, but my Dad put it up there =P) and NEVER (unlike some people we know *wink wink*) ran running through the halls of my middle school's gym crying out that I wanted to have Nick Carter's baby. Ah, what a memorable day that was.

So I guess I'm a fangirl now. He's #1 on my (brand-new) "Celebrities I'd Do, No Questions Asked" list. ^_^ But I'm hardly the obsessive stalker type, so I'll just wax eloquent about how hott he is, and how cool it would be if there was a mini-Paul Walker running around single here in SF. Ahh... a girl can dream, eh?

I loved the movies though. I mean seriously, TF had SUCH a better plot, better actors-- I mean shiza, you know they actually had REAL street racers in that? They got to call this 19-year-old kid a 'technical advisor,' and he was even IN the movie for about... well, maybe 1 minute, but still, this kid was a real racer from Los Angeles. And all the hundreds of extras-- real people, real racers, their own cars, their own wardrobes. Vin Diesel, Walker, Ja Rule-- all of them were just in the middle of it. It was so sweet-- I never saw such great representation before.

(I wonder if they got paid...? That woulda been a lot of people)

Anyway, so Shawn's helped me get some piccies of TX for that layout I was thinking of, and if AIM would stop being a biznatch, I might be able to get more. The other Sean is admonishing me for my mind-slip of Japanese, bugging me about Jonathan (poor Sean, he can't insult Jonathan because he doesn't TALK much. Hah, if Sean actually tried anything, Jonathan would expressionessly twist his arm off-- he's done it to me enough times), etc.

Ah yes, and I'm apparently losing my memory-- Sean and Jimbo both immediately said I was imagining things when I said when Jonathan and I'd gone to RTA, when we'd seen Will and Benji DDR, I thought Will AAd Legend of Max. o.o So sue me, I make mistakes! I saw a 10 foot song, a 1.5x, and then either before or after, a AA on the screen. o.o I got mixed up. =P And Sean calls that "below average." -.- I'm glad I play to have fun, not to "win." I don't care about getting my name on some screen, or entering tourneys. Feh.

Working on "Dream a Dream" and might convert "Twisted Fate" to HTML tonight and upload to FFnet. Hopefully I'll find some GOOD, CURRENT Inuyasha fics to read tonight, I'm bored and my creativity is draining. Might resort to working on my TX layout. =)

According to Sean: Real men build [model car] kits with soldering irons. Okay, at least industrial strength glue. *laughs*

Ah... better stop slowing my compie down with this. Bye. =D
