azurite: (cat: what the shit is this!?)

Okay, another weird dream. Unlike Ebenezer Scrooge, I have no half-digested cheese to blame it on, just my weird brain.

So I was at a bookstore or someplace and I spotted Sailor Moon in comic-form! I mean, American-style comics, with more ads than actual pages of comics, and thin, shiny magazine-like format, rather than a good thick tankoubon or "phone book" anthology.

And apparently the issue I was looking at was one from Stars, because I remember seeing Galaxia off to the left, Sailor Moon near the center right, the other Inner Senshi near her, the Sailor Starlights in some corner, and I think the "Outer Senshi" in the upper left.

I remember looking at Galaxia and being vaguely surprised, because instead of a "helmet" like thing, she clearly had gold and red SPIKED hair, and you could tell-- the dangling things that we see are really her HAIR done up in a particular style (flattened dreadlocks?) with charms dangling from the end or something. I just remember thinking it odd that Galaxia had something akin to a styled mohawk.

And the rest of the Senshi were EXTREMELY leggy. Not to say they're not to begin with, but I mean, more legs than torso.

I was also looking at another comic (or perhaps seeing my dream in comic-form) and I recall seeing Supergirl who had to sneak into some magician's performance to steal some supposed magical item-- it looks like one of those "electrical balls" where you touch it and "pink lightning" comes up and "zaps" you where your finger is. It doesn't hurt or anything, it just looks cool. Well, the version Supergirl had to have was supposedly very powerful (but being misused by this magician) and instead of being white, blue, or pink, it was neon yellow with green lightning bolts inside. Also, rather than being the size of your head or larger, the one Supergirl made off with was a little bigger than palm-sized, maybe about the size of a grapefruit.

She was working alongside Superman to defeat some new enemy, but I guess it was in the future or an alternate world, because they had different costumes-- Supergirl wore a catsuit that was red near the bottom, similar to Connor's Superboy (the one that most recently died), while Superman looked much more muscular (like Powergirl, it seems to be a thing with the artists to make him go from supposedly-normal looking guy -when he's in a business suit- to MR. MUSCLE bulging every which way, increasing a bit by every issue) and was ENTIRELY BLUE. I mean his face and everything. He resembled Beast from X-Men, except not... well, beast-like. He was basically a BLUE Superman.

What the heck?

...I need a Supergirl icon.
