Okay, so I'm back from San Diego, and despite Scott being sick for the first few days, me getting drunk after only 2 Smirnoff Ices (did you listen to my voice post?), and several attacks from the overly enthusiastic chocolate Labrador bitch Lando, it was a good trip. I went shopping with Scott at Fashion Valley today, and though I was not only on a budget but a time limit, I picked up an all-new outfit-- a kelly green zip-up sweater jacket (only $5 from MACY'S! WAY TO SHOP!!!) and a new pair of jeans. (I swore the brand name was L'arc en Ciel, but I just read wrong. Ehehe.) Truthfully, I spent most of my money over the past few days on food-- we ate at the famous Jewish delicatessen D.Z. Akin's, plus I had my first breakfast burrito at El Zarapa's not too far from where Scott and the guys live.

I also got some very nice Christmas gifts from Scott-- a 2006 Calendar "Cats of the Greek Isles" and a beautiful Asian fan with a woman playing a harp on it. ^^ Yes, I collect fans. I'm weird, you don't have to tell me.

A recap of my gifts this season, many thanks and squidges to all~
From Kysra - a beautiful pentacle pendant set with what looks like Moonstone. I particularly like Moonstone because to me, it represents the singular creation of all the elements. Thunder strikes the sand on the beach (EARTH), super heating it (FIRE), and creating a stone. The WATER and the WIND cool it down and it forms Moonstone, which is a gem good for psychic powers and attuning yourself to the mystic, which is something I seem to be good at doing. I got the pendant put on a silver chain I had lying around-- even better, the jeweler at Zale's did it for free. He just told me to come back to Zale's when I get engaged. ^_~ (Speaking of engaged, Scott and I saw a guy propose to a girl at the train station. I wonder if that's good luck?)

From Mom - Gloves, mittens, cash to blow during the holidays (shaved off the price of the laptop I sold to her), Hershey's Kisses, 2 new sweaters, a new one-piece "dress-pant" outfit, a matching earring and necklace set, some hair glitter, and a blue sparkly hair barrette.

From Gary  - A $100 American Express gift card. I spent the bulk of it on Proactiv for my face, and of the two days I've used it so far, it seems to help. Now to use it more regularly.

From Dad - A $150 Macy's Gift Card, which I'm supposed to spend on "over the shoulder boulder holders" (read: bras) and whatever other clothing I need. I already bought the jeans and sweater-jacket I mentioned earlier, but I still have money to get what I need, though I have no idea what size bra I'm supposed to be. The two girls in "Intimate Apparel" today didn't know the first thing about sizing. :P I also got a $5 Borders gift card, an eMusic.com certificate, and the Art of Howl's Moving Castle Book. :)

From Baba and Grandpa - Money for Chanukkah. I suppose I got $120 overall, give or take. ^^

From Eva - A black jewelry box embroidered with little red beads and sequins. It's got a very satiny inside, and I'm already using it, along with the 2 other jewelry boxes I brought home from San Francisco. I have too much jewelry that I never wear! I have to start wearing it more often.

From Katia - A very cool Aslan bookmark, from the Chronicles of Narnia movie.

From Crystal - A wire-bound yellow journal with a flower (daisy, I think-- isn't that the flower of Aries?). You know me, I'll blabber and scribble so much in my existing rainbow journal that I'll eventually run out, so it's good to have extras on hand. Plus a pen to write in it with!

Attention Guardian Kysra! Look here! Look here NOW!

A big announcement for you, [livejournal.com profile] guardian_kysra! Thanks to the generosity, kindness, cheer, and all the other happy holiday spirit emotions (either that or the insane fangirl desperation to see you post more stuff soon *cough*) of [livejournal.com profile] cutieme4u, [livejournal.com profile] janimelee, Samantha Stone (LJ Username unknown!), myself, and the well-wishes and encouragement of countless others, we have bought you THE SCANNER! ^^ It's coming from Amazon.com (since they don't charge for shipping!) and will include a cute message that reads a heck of a lot similar to this one. Sorry it's not gift wrapped, but I'm sure you'll have fun tearing open the box and throwing the packing pellets (or bubble wrap, whichever you prefer) just the same. Expect it to arrive within 5-9 days!

Thank you to everyone who sent their wishes, encouragement, and what little money they could during this holiday season-- I hope that despite the havoc Katrina and Rita wrought on our dear friend and resident Hentai Goddess (and amazing artist), 2006 will turn out to be a bigger, better, and brighter year for her than ever before!

:) Happy Chrismakwanzayulekah and a VERY SPLENDIFEROUS NEW YEAR! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

As for me, I'm quite pleased right now, and unless prompted in some size, shape, or fashion, I have nothing else to say.

Happy Holidays and Have A Safe, Happy, and Wonderful New Years, Everybody!
(Thank you for being my friends. ^^ It means a lot.)

Oh . . . oh my God. I was at work when I first read this and I'm still having trouble letting it sink in - I was walking around work with this dazed, sparkly look in my yes (i.e. glassy). When I tried to explain, my coworkers were like, "You have to give us some of your karma!"

This is just, absolutely amazing and so many other things that I can think of right now. My eyes were bugged out for awhile and I couldn't close my mouth from where my lower jaw was hanging like a loose hinge. I'm just so extremely grateful and filled with wonder.

I am just . . . completely and simply touched. By your efforts (and generosity) in coming up with and setting this up as well as the other people who extended their kindness (and funds ;-;).

(I don't know WHAT I'll draw yet but . . . I'm gonna do a special pic just for you. In fact, I'll paint it. I bought some canvas the other day.)

Ur Welcome
