I've finally gotten some decent UseNet access (thank goodness for my great memory of my mom's access! Bwaha!) and am busy recalling all the great discussions on alt.fan.sailor-moon. Remember the big long list of questions and plot holes I brought up a while back? They're all (along with my PGSM <--> anime comparisons) in my Memories! Go check them out (under Sailor Moon)! Some of them would make great fics... I should join a Sailor Moon fic challenge community. Mm... Does anyone know of one? You just know that if I can't FIND one, I'll end up making one. But I suck at the whole community marketing thing-- out of all the invitations I sent out to people asking them to joinygo_offtopicon, not that many responded... I also posted in community_promo, and tried to spread the word where I could (playthedamncard) but short of having a manual of places where it's okay to pimp (and the moderator's names, in case I need to double-check)... I've done everything I could.
Besides, if I did make a challenge community, it would focus on fics answering the questions that pester me so much lately. For example, "If the Ginzuishou is also Usagi's Star Seed, and only True Senshi have Star Seeds, and cannot exist in a human form WITHOUT their Star Seeds, how did Usagi exist prior to the forming of the Ginzuishou in the first season of the anime? On top of that, when the Ginzuishou shattered (in Sailor Moon R), why didn't Usagi's body fade away?"
This week's icontests were a bust-- between work and other distractions, I just didn't have the time or inspiration. Plus a few challenges were just plain... well, lame. Or hard, in the case of theyet_another_ygo one. But meanwhile, entries for ygo_offtopicon are coming along nicely... the first challenge ends this Tuesday! Have you entered yet? Come on, join us!
Next on the agenda... Sailor Moon. With PGSM, my almost-complete anime collection (okay, so I'm lacking a huge chunk of S and all of SuperS), my complete manga collection, and loads of ideas to be had, I'm definitely going to get back into writing Sailor Moon. But Seiya/Usagi won't leave me alone. I already have one fic idea that I started (Seiya finds out about Usagi being Sailor Moon in a most unexpected way) and another I'm tinkering with (Seiya goes back in time to when he would have had a "chance" with Usagi -- he ends up changing time to the point that his own future might be destroyed...). Plus there's still fics made to answer questions... unfinished fics, and fics that MUST MUST MUST be revised (Only 16). How the heck am I going to do this?
Okay, but I've decided it's time to curl up with some popcorn and watch more PGSM. If I do any comparisons, it'll be AFTER I watch all the episodes, because constantly pausing is stupid.
