Your brain: 60% interpersonal, 60% visual, 180% verbal, and 100% mathematical!
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

  1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
  2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
  3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

I finally got to print out my DARS (Degree Audit Report Something-or-Other), which is basically a report of what classes you have left to take to fulfill X requirements to graduate. Well, I've already decided which 5 classes I'm taking next semester (Visual Communication/JOUR 250; Writing, Reporting and Ethics II/JOUR 210, Creative Writing/ENGL 208, Elementary Japanese/JAPN 101/C, and Greek and Roman Mythology/CLAS 315), and I have a good idea of what's left (mostly science and history classes... blech!). There are so many weird requirements for every college/"school" ...

Anyway, what prompted this whole thing was how Erin came back with Baba and Grandpa yesterday, and Erin was talking about how UCLA has this whole system for checking exactly what courses you have left to take to complete your degree, to graduate, etc. I had no idea there was such a thing as a "course cap" or "unit cap" -- you can take X number of units to graduate, but if you need more for a degree, you can take more-- but only up to Y point, before they kick you out. Apparently at UCLA the graduation unit number is 116, and the cap is 228. That's a pretty wide gap, but Erin's skimming 220, because she's double-majoring in graphic art design and anthropology. X_X She's got so much on her plate... She's such a far cry from the cousin I used to hate. Now I really admire her for all she's doing. She's a very conquer-the-world type person.

There's a per-semester unit cap at CSUN too-- as far as I know, you have to get special permission from a department chair to take over 5 classes/15 units at CSUN in a given semester. Since UCLA's on the quarter system, it's limited to 4 classes, but I don't know how many units that translates into- is it 12?

There's also the 80/65 rule for my college (Arts, Media, and Communication, which translates to Letters and Sciences at UCLA) that requires that 80 of the 120 units required to graduate must be in departments OTHER than journalism, and 65 of those "others" must be Liberal Arts.

Anyway, I like the CSU system despite their astronomical general education (GE) requirements (58 at my school), because there's a much wider variety of courses and campuses to choose from, plus there are agreements with every community college in the state, practically. UCLA, as big a name a college as it is, doesn't even have a Journalism major. Perhaps if they did, Eva might have actually found some happiness in sticking with the subject, but that's her cup of tea, not mine. You couldn't get me to do Economics if you dangled me by a fish hook.

So many numbers! It's all so complicated! Minimum of this, maximum of that! Freshman standing until you have 30 units! Blech.

I posted WDKY16 on MMorg and FFnet. Stupid FFnet decided to italicize the last half of the story, so I had to go back and edit each segment by hand, else my 'thoughts' wouldn't have been italicized, and I like consistency throughout my chapters, thankyouverymuch.

5 Reviews so far... ^_^ *pleased* I think I'll start going back through all the reviews (maybe when I get home, because it's easier to go through the reviews I actually WANT to reply to there) and make a few more posts to put in my Review Replies memories. I should start doing that for other fics, too.

Last, I'm surprised at how easy it was for me to catch up on journals. I could always switch to delishidoodle mode, but most of those journals are brushes and things I'd need to download (there's no frontal USB port on this comp!) and the icontests would require saving pictures and using Photoshop. None of that here... nothing but 'Net.

The guy from Suncoast called-- I left the phone number at home though (assuming it's different from the one on my caller ID) so maybe I can score two summer jobs, more experience, and then... well, I'm caugt in the delusion that I'd love to work as a hostess at Red Robin this fall, so we'll see where that takes me.

...I need money. *sniff* Dad owes me a birthday present still, dagnabbit! Yeesh.

Lol! Missing one present! I'm missing 3 from last year! My cousins promised me mangas! (Rurouni Kenshin Vol. 12-15 and Othello Vol. 1-4)

And uh... if you don't mind me asking, exactly how do you save the final product in Photoshop? I was repeatedly attempting to make an icon (with Photoshop and now I'm regretting that I downloaded it...) and then save it to my hard drive. But every time I view it, it doesn't come out correctly...

Bwhaha! Now I can conquer the world with my SetoAnzu icons!!

Oh yeah, Othello 4 is out in Mass. The third one was really hilarious!

hey, I am sticking to my field!

Just because there's no journalism major here doesn't mean that UCLA people don't graduate to become journalists. Pam Cook and Monique Wong are both local tv newsreporters for Fox News back home and were both UCLA graduates. Pam was even an economics major like me!

Being an econ major just makes me more marketable when it comes to getting a job. I have journalism stuff to show off, as well as a degree in economics so I'm well-rounded. Plus the two can even be combined... maybe even as far as the Wall Street Journal.
