Grr. Argh.

GRR!!! I wish I had that Anzu Grring icon still up, because it's perfect for my mood right now. I'm ticked, ticked I tell you!
1 - After so much hard work and brain frazzling, Mamono's div layers simply are not working with BEA's content. So I grabbed a tables-based layout I had lying around my HD, and started to play with it... so far so good, except I can't get the Nomination and Affiliation forms to copy/paste properly! Stupid nested table forms!

2 - Okay, so throughout my intense browsing of the 30_kisses community, it turns out I missed the Archive (when I kept clicking "Previous Page" I thought it would take me back to the beginning of the comm. Turns out it only took me to the beginning of March). Anyway, so the person who snagged Seto/Anzu *did* make a post... and lo and behold! -_- It's a cheap knock-off of Phantom of the Opera. Okay, okay, I shouldn't resort to outright bashing of someone I don't know, especially just because they have something I want, but... hear me out. Even if she did post the fic in the actual entry, as opposed to in her friend's locked/badly designed/hard-to-read LJ, there are more mistakes in there than I have fingers and toes! Couldn't she be just a bit MORE creative with the 30 themes? I mean, the whole point is to be original, not mooch off a movie's (or musical's) story! >_and it just occurred to me that my mom's bf is Gary, and my dad is Marty. WTF!? Anyway, you get my drift, right? There are more selective C2s-- like Kysra's (for S/A), and my own (for oneshots), but... it seems people just aren't interested in quality fic the way we are. I suppose there really are masses of 13 year olds out there parked in front of their comps, with little to no grasp of the English language, praising badfic writers and pumping up their Pixi-stick filled egos with even more sugar, air, and water. It's pointless.

I'm going to kickstart Dragonfayth back into a powerhouse. Not now, but soon.

I'm still a bit disillusioned from all this, but really, not to the point of quitting FFnet like others have. ^^; Let's be honest, I just can't give up an audience that big.

3 - The third thing that ticks me off today is that I still haven't heard from Salido for my Journalism assignments (I emailed her THREE times!), the ETS/ITC people for the GiftCertificates.com reward, or even if I won the iPod! WTF, it's been 6 days since the last testing day, haven't they taken care of everything by now? I emailed the proctor and she said it'll be "by the end of the week." Well it's the end of the week, where's my stuff!? Grr.

The silver lining to this massive blockage of clouds comes in the following:
* Almost (REALLY!) almost done with WDKY16
* Inspired for many other works, including fanart
* It won't take too long to figure out the new BEA layout (I hope)
* I'M GOING TO JAPAN TOMORROW! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
* I'm going to meet Scott in Tokyo on our 7th month "celebration!"
* I have money to go crazy with
* I have friends that are super-nice and supportive
* I plan on pulling an "Anzu" and going to Tokyo Tower (as she did in "Keep") and take a bucketload of pictures. ^_^

So life is... okay. I can live with that.

You know, what you're saying has really gotten me to think. I often complain that I wish the Yuugiou fandom had more shoujo-ai. But now I'm not so sure, since right now, though there are very little girl/girl fics in the fandom, about two-thirds of the ones that do exist are at least decent. If more people started writing it, I don't know how long that would at last...

Have a FANTASTIC trip!!! I'll be praying for your safety, but really, have great fun, take lots and lots of pictures, and enjoy yourself!

Just a suggestion - when I went to Italy, I took a journal with me to describe the day's events, sites, etc. You might want to do the same, just to keep places/sites/people straight ^_~
