I have this itsy, bitsy question (hope you enjoy those gummy bats, by the by XD)...

As an admin on DF, I realize that I need to make sure that fics are up to par and look good so that only good quality is posted. What happens if the fic is less than perfect? Do I take on the role of a beta and just do a few quick edits before validating or should I send it back to the author and ask them to fix it? I'm only asking because Cwolf has submitted three chapters and they need a little help.

If the edits are purely limited to "fixable" stuff (spelling and grammar errors, switching of tenses/POVs/names of dub vs. original) then by all means, fix it if you have the time. Otherwise, click on No Letter and add to the letter why you're rejecting the submission. If the author in question can't fix the story up adequately by the second submission go-around, then either try to edit it or send it to someone who's willing. I usually have time to edit fics so if you can't or don't want to tackle them, I'll be glad to find an hour or two. Otherwise, we can both work on it together. ^^
