Picture Perfect Morning
Aug. 11th, 2004 06:41 pmWhat the hell am I doing up so early? (7:30 am when I started this post) Simply put, I couldn't sleep. It's supposed to be 107 degrees here today, and the heat is already so stifling that I couldn't rest. I guess there's a good side to everything though-- I have both a reason and an excuse to park myself in front of the computer and finish WDKY10! Yes, yes, I must. Besides, WDKY11 is just begging to be written.
Why the subject line? Well, it's a nice morning, to be sure, but really, it's an earworm. From Edie Brickell's album of the same name, and the tape I think I just broke in Grandpa's Kenwood Stereo. It's a great stereo system, but I guess there's a reason why everyone said it was broken. For one, it doesn't have any of the usual buttons a cassette deck would, so I was inspecting all the labels and trying to figure out which one PLAY was. Well, I must have gotten it, because the tape got locked in, and when I finally jimmied it out, there was a rip and a dent in the audio reel. -_- And I only have one copy of that tape. I have yet to finish downloading all the songs, too, so until then, I am screwed. And pissed, too. GRR!
*sigh* The other things on my to-do list and list of angst-festives include Dragonfayth and BEA. Of course. When are they NOT on there? Dragonfayth needs some additional tweaking where the skins are concerned, plus I have yet to install akaVertigo's Help Page-- that is a "Guide to Fic Writing" of sorts. I'd like to get input from anyone and everyone involved in the fic (esp. Yu-Gi-Oh) business. Rant, rail, suggest, whatever. We just want stuff to put up there! ^_^
BEA... I still don't know why the members haven't joined. I guess Batchmembers and the alternatives don't want to work for me, so I'm stuck inputting ALL the info by hand. All of it. PAIN IN THE ASS. But once it's done, it's done. BEA will be back, for real. So I guess I should just get to it, and not give a damn about whether I'm the 001 member, right? *kicks database* Stupid PHP!
Finally, since I'm rather close to posting WDKY10, I'm going to include my replies to the reviews from Chapter 9 here under an LJ-cut... that way, I don't have to add to the 160+ KB that is the Chapter already. I've decided to shave off all my author's notes, review replies, and the like. I'm just keeping the essentials-- title, chapter title and number, contact info, disclaimer, and fic. ^_^
Here we go!
Guardian Kysra -- You were the first one to review this chapter, you know that? Or the first person to leave a noteworthy *smirk* review. I don't respond to reviews that are like "OMG!!! Plz update!" Yeah. So thank you. And I sincerely hope the next chapter will leave you with your mouth hanging open and stuff. ^_^ I'm so keeping your review so I can use it as an Ego Pump (c) Atlantis whenever I desire.
Svelte Rose -- I guessed you liked Chapter 9, huh? ^^; So, how'd your AP exams go?
Mae Crawford -- My chapter is... edible? I hope the next chap will be as "flavorful" as 9 was. And for everybody, I hope it doesn't detract from sleep... ^^; Me and my babbling. (Oh, and in the case of WDKY, addiction is a very good thing. I mean, it's a FREE high, what could be better than that?)
faded-illusion -- FAST!? o_O The word count on Chapter 9 is astronomical, and dare I say it, but I think I might have topped it with Chapter 10. Chapter 10 should answer some of your questions regarding Bakura and what Seto feels... *smirk* Pocky for you for getting one thing right, but I won't tell you exactly what until Chapter 10 goes live... *bows humbly* Wow, Azurite-sama. That's a first... *blush*
rie-homunculus o_O You know what's coming up because you read my plan...? Okay, I'm not sure if you found that file by accident, but it's restricted now. :P And you never know how the story will really turn out, because I change my mind all the time. Bwaha. Thanks for checking out BEA and enjoying Chapter 9, but be sure to check out the hordes of other great Seto/Anzu writers at Dragonfayth!
Umiko Morimoto -- Everyone else says Kaiba is so mean, and you say he's stupid! *huggles* Finally, someone I can agree with! ^_^ Of course, he's being so callous for a reason, and we all know that... Aaah... and with Yugi, writing that scene [with his unrequited love confession] was really difficult to write. I do feel bad for him, but given the continuity of the story, I can't see him hooking up with anyone (sorry!). You never know what might happen in the sequel though... *smirk* Sorry it's taken me so long to update! Chapter 10 is coming soon, I swear! And the romance you've been waiting for is coming in HUGE doses with Chapter 11. So keep your eyes peeled.
Trust,Faith,Pixidust -- Yes, and I'm finally going to update again... soon. I swear. It's always a day to be remembered when I finally muster up the chutzpah to post. It means my muse has actually been SATISFIED... for a while.
MotherChowGoddess - Lovely, lovely angst, and then some in Chapter 10. But Chapter 11 makes up for it... on your end, is that a good thing? I'm not sure how many people liked the extreme angst I ended 9 with, but I was so proud of myself! ^_^ I mean ME, doing angst (It's supposed to be amazing. Look amazed). But I love your line: "Now go out there and get your girl back!" Don't shoot, but I think I'm going to have to have Mai say that to him. *smirk* Oh, and we ph33r the Black Tongue of Doom. :D
Sky -- I had to have him in-character for that last part. The whole idea behind the fic is growth and change, and someone as rock-hard and stubborn as Seto is going to need a lot of force to get him to change even a little bit. Everyone has their "remissions" into their old selves... Seto's having his. :P
rlenavampyre14 -- I really don't type fast... that is, whole chapters. I wish I did. It's just that I had to split Chapter 7 into two parts-- 7A and 7B. I didn't change the chapter title, nor did I change the separation for my website. That's why the next chapter is Chapter 10, not 11. Forget what FFnet says-- it's 10. There'll be angst in 10, to a degree, but toned down with the fluff in 11. Hopefully you'll enjoy it all the same.
Jujubie -- I haven't updated any of my FictionPress stories in a long while, but I'll try-- especially since I hope to get some of them published (officially) one day! ;_; Was Chapter 9 really that sad, though? I love it when stories are packed with emotion. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but 10 *IS* coming soon!
Mamono -- Of course you've already seen 9, seen 10... But I'm going to respond to your review anyway, because you made the effort to review even though you almost always end up beta'ing the chapters for me! I loved 9 for its emotional-ness, and I hope to keep several chapters in the future like that... fluctuating between the good, the bad... you know, that's life. ^_^ And as for Joey's dad, yes, THANK YOU for catching that reference. I wonder how many other people did. Note to readers: Yes, you can get put in jail for excessive drunkenness, and several things related to it. It's usually not for an extended period of time, but apparently Mr. Wheeler's been in enough times that the guards and officers know him by name. Still, there's no required rehab program... But you heard what he said. Who knows what will become of him in the future?
And the riddles! Augh, pain in the neck to do! But it worked out great in the end. Oh, and I'll have to go through 9 again, to make sure I didn't leave out any é's. I'm pretty picky about that-- I mean come on, it's so easy to Find + Replace all the Tea's and replace them with Téa's. You can get the cute little é by going into Character Map and cutting and pasting it, or by (if you have Windows) holding Alt and pressing 0233 on the num pad (it doesn't work if you try to use the upper number keys).
So 9 ended with her leaving and 10... you'll find out soon. :) I think you already know, but still. *smirk*
HieilovesBotan -- Thank you very much for the high praise! Glad you liked the riddles... there's more coming up in Chapter 11, as you'll see... eventually. Poor everybody is right, but hopefully things will start to look up for them soon... Once again, thanks!
pyromaniak -- *evil cackle* Thanks. I wish I could promise an equally evil cliffhanger to 10, but the truth is, I like to alternate it... so the ending isn't QUITE so evil, but who knows what you'll think till you read?
GoddessOfImaginaryLightKokuei -- Lot of people? You mean all the people that showed up throughout the course of the chapter? Yes, that's true... But, if you check out Darkness Rising and swing by the What Doesn't Kill You page, there is (or soon will be) a page talking about all the nitpicky details regarding WDKY-- including the riddles, original characters, and so on. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: What Doesn't Kill You will be thirty-six (36) chapters long. Not 9, not 10. There's more. There will always be more. :)
KaibaGurl47 -- Finally, someone mentions Mokuba! Yes, he will be having his grand (re?) debut in Chapters 11 and 12, so keep your eyes peeled! Glad you like the story, and it's interesting to hear other fans' "justifications" of Seto/Anzu 'ships. Azureshipping forever! ^_^v
PennyLane00 -- Obsession, by Fanfiction.net. *smirk* Thanks very much for the high praise-- I hope WDKY continues to live up to your standards, and you'll keep reading and reviewing! I always love hearing from readers... And boy do I know what fics do to your brain-- 10 is almost through devouring mine! X_X
Ekimozo -- I'm going to have to use your last review as liners for a WDKY banner or something. "Nerve-wracking!" "Tear jerking!" "Thrilling!" "Emotion-Filled!" ^_^ It's got it all and a box of strawberries, folks! And yes, Kaiba... love him or hate him, he will always be Kaiba. He's fun to write. ^_^ Thanks so much for the compliments... *blush*. I'm far from stopping, though! WDKY is my baby, and I won't quit till it's DONE! (Does it really take 3 days to finish reading my chapters though? X_X Gah.)
Harlequine -- Pshaw, as if I need to leave YOU a reply! More like a dedication. I want everyone to know that Harley has helped me with LOADS of WDKY, especially WDKY10, so the fact that it's coming out soon (read: at all) is thanks to her, and of course, Atlantis and Mamono. I <3 these guys for having the guts to take my rambling prose on, and even better, they all write FANTASTIC fics! ^_^ Hopefully I'll keep improving, surprising, and ... doing whatever it is that gets people hanging on the edge of their seat. WDKY is sure to be packed with much more fun than we've seen yet. And I'm gonna get writing-- once you come back online! *smirk* Us evil geniuses (genii?) have to work together!
Snapdragon-chan -- Whoo-hoo! I hope you come back again. I mean, hello, angsty cliffhanger! That's a pre-requisite for coming back, right? I only hope you enjoy 10 as much as you enjoyed 9. Wai~ I pulled off angst, I pulled off angst~~ I know I probably shouldn't be celebrating Yugi's unrequited love, the Gardners' murder, or Seto's bad attitude but... *giddy* I DID IT! But, as always "the end" is a long way off...
Jellybob 15 -- What's the timer say going to say for 10? I wonder how much longer 10 is than 9... Hopefully I'll still garner some applause for it. Guess we'll have to wait and see, huh? :)
Ana -- Surprises are an integral part of WDKY. ^^; Hate to say it, but "get used to it!" Will be continuing-- and soon! Keep your eyes peeled for 10 and 11.
Capito Celcior -- Er.... *pokes* Are you still alive? I hope so. I know the wait's been way too long, but 10's coming out soon, and it'll be worth it. I hope. ^_^;
KeikoGurl -- Touching? I like stories that are "touching." Hopefully WDKY will continue to be so... and yeah, Téa and Yugi finally *did* have to resolve their issues. After all, there's 26 more chapters (excluding 10, since it's coming out soon), so THOSE problems had to be dealt with first. Oh yeees, more to come.
blue-lavender-ice -- I apologize to you and anyone else that has ever had difficulty reviewing WDKY; the chapters are long, so sometimes the pages don't want to load fully. If you ever experience difficulties loading the whole story, or the review feature doesn't show up: a) email me, b) comment here in my LiveJournal, or c) go to my website.
The whole concept behind WDKY is that of the quote- "What doesn't kill you [makes you strong eventually.]" So of course things aren't going to be 100% okay by the end of the day-- that's not life. The world needs more S/A fics though, so please post your works! As for tips, the best thing I can say is to let your writing speak for itself-- you can be inspired by others, but you are you, and have your own style. Making sure that comes through in your stories is the best advice I could give to anyone, regardless of fandom or pairing. All the same, check out Dragonfayth for a host of S/A fics, advice, and tons more! I apologize if BEA's been giving you (or anyone else) problems; I'm working on fixing that...
unknown reviewer -- Rollercoaster is right! Like any "good" relationship, it's got its share of bumps and twists, and there's always more to come! I <3 rollercoasters too... *evil grin* I do apologize for the astronomically long wait for 10, but I hope the wait is well worth it. You'll have to tell me... 11 should be coming out a bit faster, but no guarantees, what with school starting.
dragontamer101 -- Kaiba has to be a jerk because it's his self-defense mechanism. At least, that's what I think... especially regarding Chapters 9 and 10. You'll find out what he knows, and his reaction to Téa in Chapter 10 when it comes out shortly... and yes, you are right, the guy in jail with Kaiba was in fact, Joey's father. You get a cookie! Hopefully your sanity will be appeased once 10 is out. ;D
Hioga-chan -- o_O How did you know I read The Da Vinci Code? Hehe, excellent book, by the way. It might have inadvertently inspired me, but I didn't think of it while writing Chapter 9-- which was easily (get ready for an oxymoron) the most difficult chapter to write. I like throwing in those unexpected "wrenches," but I suppose by telling you such, you might begin to expect them, huh? *smirk* Hopefully I can still surprise you... You have to watch for little details! Laroque wasn't the first one to make a reappearance-- you can take my word for it, I'll be making secret references left and right. You can always get the full story behind everything at my site, where I take you through each chapter of the story as it comes out, including the nitpicky details. :) *sigh* I'm in the Poor Yugi camp myself... *sniffle* But Azureshipping all the way! T_Tv
Yami) White Rain -- Pushing and pulling Seto and Téa, huh? *envisions a tug of war* o_O Téa's going to get her arm broken. o_O And as for Yugi-anguish, hopefully that's going to be kept to a minimum from here on out. 10 has a bit of it, I have to admit, but... ^^; Well, you'll see. Don't sic Yami Yuugi on me, okay? ^_~
PersonM -- Gah! I wish I could update things on a daily basis, but things are never that easy for me... As for the BEA fanfiction section, I started it with the intention of not self-plugging. I'd rather people nominate fics other than their own, so they can give us an "unbiased" opinion of sorts. Still, WDKY got nominated by one of my good friends and editors, so it's on there... I think. BEA is under heavy construction, and I hope to add a Nomination Form for fics, art, and other S/A material soon. :) And I *am* utterly committed to WDKY. It's my longest story yet, and I don't think I've ever been stuck in a single fandom for a long time. I see it as a good thing... I really want to see it finished! For chapter length, I always try to shorten my chapters, but it never works. Brevity was never my strong suit. ^^; And as for cliffhangers, I have to admit-- I love them. Not just because it adds to the tension and the drama, but because it tends to get me more feedback! So I admit it, I'm a bit of a comment-whore... Hopefully 10 will sate your appetite for "more."
AG the master -- You're the second person to mention The Da Vinci Code. o_O I guess I should be kind of awed and proud that so many people into such novels are also Yu-Gi-Oh fans *and* Azureshippers. w00t! It was an accidental allusion, really, since I read the book long before I started Chapter 9 (I finished it November 2003, and the chapter much later than that), but cool nonetheless.
winterwing3000 -- O_O Did you really cry? People say things like that all the time, and I'm never sure if I can believe them, and even if it is true, should I be proud, or upset? ^^;; I don't mean to make people cry... But as for Yugi and all the other emotional turmoil-filled moments, I'm going to state for the record that, even if it's fanfiction based off anime, it's real life. I wanted to inject real emotions and things readers could at least attempt to relate to. With Yugi and Téa's relationship, the closest thing would be if Téa crushed on Yugi's brother rather than him, and it caused problems. Well, now she's moved on from that, and she's crushing on Kaiba! It's a perfectly logical situation, even without pharaohs and puzzles involved... You're one of the first people to spot Bakura as being competition for Téa. This upcoming chapter really gives him a chance to shine (though regarding the person who said "I am the darkness," that seems a bit ironic) and make his intentions (whatever they may be) clear. Keep your eyes peeled! If you do read WDKY over again, watch out for minute details-- everything matters!
Magiciangirl2 -- Glad you liked it! And Seto might be out of jail, but that's the least of his worries, as you'll come to learn in Chapters 10 and 11. *smirk* And men do act like pigs, don't they? Hope you'll R&R for 10!
Leila Jenkins -- ^_^ *sniff* beautiful, huh? I'm highly flattered! Again, sorry it's taken so long to update, but 10 IS coming out soon!
Anime_Angelwings -- Ah, torturing readers is fun, I admit. :) And Seto... in the first draft of Chapter 9, I *did* contemplate having Seto stop her, but... somehow it seemed too out of character and strange. The rest of the story revolves around feelings growing and changing, so having him immediately forgive her for landing him in jail seemed a bit much. 10 will see the start of his previously-angry feelings changing, but you'll have to read to find out exactly how. As for the Big 5, you haven't seen the last of them. In their respect (obviously), the story is a bit of an AR, but other than that, it follows all the events up to the end of Battle City. Hope you'll keep reading and reviewing!
The Female Version of Seto Kiaba -- 10 will answer your questions, and hopefully the reactions are realistic enough to relate to. It's hard letting people in, and I think Seto Kaiba's character is perfect for figuring those sort of things (reactions, love, etc.) out. I hope WDKY continues to be a highlight, even if Kaiba doesn't stay 100% ice-hearted forever.
angelus-2040 o_o My chapters are too long, aren't they? "One chapter" tends to be "short story or novella" length to some people. Seriously, 50,000-70,000 words! I talk far too much. I'm going to have to start including a disclaimer though-- Azurite cannot replace broken/damaged keyboards, monitors, or overloaded CPUs. ^^; WDKY: "So good, but so bad!" *smirk*
Tamereth -- 36 chapters: we're way off from ending. And no matter how much nagging it takes, I will finish this one. I swear. So no disappointment from that end-- not yet. :)
Crystalline-Tears -- Hard as it is to believe in a fandom where Téa is the most-bashed character, she is the star of the story. I'm not going to skim over any of her experiences if I can help it. Yes, sometimes my over-detailed-ness gets the better of me and the chapters end up being too long, but I see it as "fleshing out" the story. You know more, and later chapters will seem more realistic because of it. Seto *is* fun to write, but he's also a pain (I had such problems with that last scene in 9, when he was a total prick). Yugi is probably the only guy that honestly comes easily to me. Even Jounouchi is hard... But more Seto/Téa interaction soon-- in 11! Not so much of it in 10, I admit, but you'll see why when the chapter comes out. :D
morgannia -- *evil grin* Bakura helping Seto? Hahaha, I think not. Well, not directly anyway. But once 10 comes out, you'll see what I mean and why. I <3 cliffhangers though. I really should start an "Evil Mad Scientists in Training, Yu-Gi-Oh Chapter." For all fic authors who can write truly excellent cliffhangers... *smirk* You'll see whether Seto lives up to your predictions in 10, so keep reading and reviewing!
Hakusho009 -- Ah, the sorrows of real life. Not that I've been in a situation like Téa, but I imagine if the guy you loved ended up in jail because of a conspiracy targeting your dead parents, you'd feel pretty sorry (or at the least, upset). It's sort of like when people apologize when someone else has died-- they're not really apologizing for their fault in it, they're just passing on their condolences, and are "sorry" that it had to happen. As for "shutting up and admitting they're in love..." well... I just have two words for you: Chapter 11. ^_^
Taichi Prime -- WAIT! I think I remember who Zeta is! I mean, when Seto told me! I mean... wasn't there this cartoon on the WB or something like that? I can't remember the name, but the guy Zeta changed into was cute. ^^; Hopefully 10 will meet with your expectations. ^_^
The Days of the Phoenix -- o_O Even I'm not entirely sure how the Author Alerts work. You can have a story on your Favorites, or the Author on your Favorites, but they won't alert you unless they're on your AA list. But I am a paid member, so I think you get alerts from me even if I'm *not* on your AA list. Saves you the trouble of having double entries on either list, especially if you're like me, and have nearly used up every single slot... ^^;
Yugi is sweet, but just as the story of Yu-Gi-Oh was about his growing up (unfortunately, not as literally as we'd like), WDKY is about the same. I'm trying to stick to various plot points from the original anime and manga, so keep yourself on the lookout for them-- with a certified WDKY twist! o_O But the blond hair of Mr. Wheeler tipped you off? Of the few people that noticed it, it was the "Shut up, Wheeler!" line that got them, right? *shrugs* Interesting that someone would have realized it another way... ^_^ 10's coming your way soon. Hope you enjoy it!
Katrina Stardust -- Not sure if you've gotten to Chapter 9 (that is, the real Chapter 9, and not FFnet #9, which you reviewed for) yet, but if so, here's my reply to your review: Everything about WDKY is planned out. Ever since Chapter 4, I've had the plan for each. and. every. chapter. It's gotten a bit skewed at times, and it's all far from being officially in prose and ready to post, but everything is planned, and every detail is necessary. WDKY is a bit of soap opera with all the teasing, but it's necessary. I'm trying to make it realistic as possible, and as you'll hear Téa say throughout the fic, "love never comes easy." It's the truth-- I refuse to dodge that. Besides, I'm not the kind of fangirl author who will automatically have Seto and Téa jump one another without prior justification for their attraction to one another. This whole fic revolves around the build-up and eventual conclusion of that romance. And there's already a sequel planned. ^^; So... yes, everything you read is necessary. I might babble, but not for that many chapters.
I do appreciate the truthful constructive criticism though, so props to you for not being another fangirl screaming something mindless. ^_^
dragonking -- Long chapters are going to be a staple of this fic, I guess. I won't reveal whether or not Seto and Téa will get the stereotypically "happy ending" (or even an ending at all), so you'll just have to wait and see! As for sweetheart on the inside... *grin* We'll see. I'm doing my best to keep Seto in character...
Vaz 1201 and Demona -- I'm going to download that song you mentioned-- "Away from the Sun" by 3 Doors Down. Not only do I like 3DD, but WDKY has a growing playlist/soundtrack that I always love to add to. And you're 100% right-- Seto was acting on his thoughts/logic, and not his 'feelings' because think about it-- Seto Kaiba with feelings!? Obviously, that's a big part of this fic, too.
Aftertaste of a Razorblade -- Thanks much for pointing out the whole Johnson thing-- but there's two reasons why I would have had Seto call Johnson. One, Johnson's position in Kaiba Corp is as a corporate attorney, but he's also on the Board of Directors, and would act as a personal attorney to Seto in times of crisis. Or so Seto would think... Johnson obviously had other plans. Besides that, the case in question would have ended up being a corporate thing, since it's not like Kaiba could make the grenade himself. He needed help somehow... using the factory's resources. Also, this is in Japan-- while they have a similar judicial system to us, it's not the same. As far as I know, attorneys are attorneys are attorneys, especially in the rare cases like the one that was hinted at in Chapter 9.
Thanks for not being the irritating "pokes-a-lot" fan, by the way. I adore concrit much more than the simple reviews that say only "Pls update!" or something to that effect. It's nice to have people tell me what they liked, didn't like, or got confused by.
Little Atemu -- Cute ! ^_^ Yeah, writing the scene with Yugi confessing his feelings was hard, but I actually planned it out way in advance-- it was strongly inspired by the song used ("I Wish," by Jo Dee Messina), so I wanted to make it as emotional as possible. 10 will answer your questions about where Téa's going, and what's to come...
DrusillaFireFox -- If the website you were talking about was my own (Darkness Rising) then I *am* going to be updating that with Chapter 9 and 10 (the next chapter, due to come out in a few days) soon, along with a wealth of supplemental information. Do check it out when you have the chance!
Suger 'N' Spice -- Ah, the joys of getting addicted to Seto/Téa. I'm not sure whose fic it was that got me Azureshipping in the first place, but I owe them a lot! ^_^ Not only do I have loads of fanfic ideas and inspiration, but there's this precious fic, its sequel, and loads more... I hope to keep your jaw dropping with all the twists and turns to come! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
DragonsamaX O_O I like emotional reviews, but I think yours takes the cake. *hands you a cake* You deserve it! ^_^ 10 is coming soon, so hopefully it'll answer your "clawing" questions and... such. Hehe. Don't damage the library comps! >_> Knowing me, I'll be working on WDKY at the library once school starts. Bad me.
Hawkgal -- O_O Wow. I wish I could bottle the kind of flattery and ego boost I get from reviews like yours, that way when I feel down, I can spray it on myself and get writing again!~ I like to blend various styles and genres in WDKY-- so you'll definitely be seeing the usual drama, angst, and romance, but also supernatural and fantasy (especially in the sequel... which is a long way off, but I thought I'd mention it anyway). Sorry it's taken so long to update, but 10 will be out soon! I hope you'll R&R!
Didn't see your review replied? It might be because:
a) I didn't get it
b) you reviewed for Chapter 8, and not Chapter 9 (and on FFnet, that translates to 9 and 10)
c) You didn't say anything I wanted to reply to (harsh, but what am I supposed to say to the reviews that only say "pls update!" or something like that? ^^;
Look here for more updates in the future!
Hey, does anyone know where I can get Thalia translated lyrics? I mean for her songs that AREN'T in English, like the one I'm listening to. Fred's right, this song is so beautiful and sad. My Spanish sucks though. I only know the one line... "I never learned..." (or something like that).
Now it's 6:30pm. It's taken me a while to finish all this... but I did end up taking a 3 hour nap to make up for my mere 6 hours of sleep last night. Went to the Macaroni Grill with Baba and Grandpa, since it was their anniversary. I convinced the waiter to give us all this huge chocolate cake. It was delish. Baba and I both drew all over the table cloth. But they need more crayons-- they only had Roasted Red Pepper, Mac & Cheese (Orange), and some brown color whose name I forget. I wonder if TMG had those specially ordered, or if Crayola really has crayons like that? o_O
Capito Celcior -- Er.... *pokes* Are you still alive? I hope so. I know the wait's been way too long, but 10's coming out soon, and it'll be worth it. I hope. ^_^;
The Days of the Phoenix -- o_O Even I'm not entirely sure how the Author Alerts work. You can have a story on your Favorites, or the Author on your Favorites, but they won't alert you unless they're on your AA list. But I am a paid member, so I think you get alerts from me even if I'm *not* on your AA list. Saves you the trouble of having double entries on either list, especially if you're like me, and have nearly used up every single slot... ^^;
It might be because:
a) I didn't get it
b) you reviewed for Chapter 8, and not Chapter 9 (and on FFnet, that translates to 9 and 10)
c) You didn't say anything I wanted to reply to (harsh, but what am I supposed to say to the reviews that only say "pls update!" or something like that? ^^;
Look here for more updates in the future!
I wonder if TMG had those specially ordered, or if Crayola really has crayons like that? o_O

Date: 2004-08-18 06:16 pm (UTC)But that would be a pain to change... not to mention several of the lines I use are ripped from the dub, and might actually tamper with the continuity of the story if I changed it. v_v Darn...
Re: It's a bit late, but...
Date: 2004-08-18 07:09 pm (UTC)Is Domino really in Japan in the dub? Wow. But... what about that episode where Isis/Ishizu first arrives and the men tell her, "Welcome to America, Miss Ishtar" or something like that? And I could swear I read somewhere that Domino is supposed to be in California in the dub...
But I could be wrong. God knows *that* happens a lot. ^_^;
Re: It's a bit late, but...
Date: 2004-08-18 08:34 pm (UTC)However, in the Big 5 arc, they showed various maps of Japan! So... *shrugs* I have no idea.
