Hrm... I suppose I should be studying for my journalism midterm tomorrow, but if today is any example of how to go about studying, it's at the last minute. Seriously, I'm so confident about my Sociology midterm-- I'm so happy! Of course, there were two major down-sides to the day:
* I woke up feeling so sick, and I lost my appetite before I even got 3 bites into my cereal.
* I flunked my last philosophy test, which baffles me, because I always thought I understood the material. But hating the teacher and the course material might have something to do with why it never sinks in.
Oh, who was it who said something about butterflies invading Arizona? Well, apparently it's monarch season here in SoCal too, as I saw over a hundred of them flapping away toward the southeast (I think) just on my way home from school! It was crazy-beautiful. ^_^ I love butterflies.
What can I say? Great minds think alike.
Anyhow, I've got nice people taking notes for me in all my classes thus far (save Philosophy, and frankly, I'm not worried-- all he ever does is assign homework ANYWAY!) and I'm almost ready to book it for Japan. I've got some cleaning and Japanese studying to do... and in regards to Japanese 102, the way I see it, I can use my Governor's ScholarShare for summer classes at CSUN. I think. If not, whoop-de-doo, I'll be in Japanese 101 with Scott next semester. =P It'll be an easy A, unless the teachers forcibly move me up to 201, in which case I won't complain either. ^_^
So far it looks as though my first post as
delishidoodle has been incredibly well received, so
baine,
thank you very much! I wouldn't have done it without you. ^_^ I'm loving the whole Post To Journal option the Pics Galleries here on LiveJournal have, because I don't have to bother with all that coding, and it automatically displays the pics, my titles, and my descriptions! ^_^ Yaaay! I can't wait to make more icons now, but I think I need a challenge. Where do I go for icon challenges?
I know it's horrible of me to keep mentioning little things (and not major announcements) all the time in my journal, especially considering I have so many unfinished series fics and potential oneshots to write. BUT! I got inspired today, for what I call an "inbetweener" epic. This means if I can't handle the moosh and action/adventure/romance that WDKY and its sequel, "Circle of Seven" will offer, I might try my hand at starting another epic, this one tentatively called "Eyes." It's based during the time period of Yu-Gi-Oh GX, but since I haven't actually SEEN any of those episodes (and shiza, they're out to 22 already!? I wish TV-Nihon would pick it up. They're doing such a good job with the first series of Yu-Gi-Oh!) it might be a bit awkward.
Mamono actually got the full spoilers (lucky duck, her), but I can skim over some details for you-- the top female student in GX comes squealing into class one day during break. Guess who she saw!? Anzu Mazaki! Why is she so excited? Well the student (Asuka) followed Anzu on the dance circuit and in dueling circles until about two years ago, when she mysteriously dropped out of sight. But now she's here on campus!
Seto and Mokuba (the latter now 15, the same age as the GX first-years) are touring the halls on an impromptu inspection of classes, and Mokuba picks up on the news, and grows excited-- he wants to see Anzu, since it's been almost four years! Anzu indeed appears, but there's something off about her. Asuka asks her immediately why she dropped out of sight, and much to everyone's surprise, Anzu reveals that her left leg is cybernetic from the knee down. She got into an accident that very well could have taken her life two years ago-- had Seto Kaiba not intervened. Now she's here to get the "equipment" looked at, and since Kaiba didn't show up at the expected place and time, she found him at his Dueling Academy!
There's much more behind Anzu's accident, her new goals and dreams, and the desire of the students to find out the truth between her and "Director" Kaiba...
But then there's also the adaptation of the Duel Monsters RPG. I:
(1) Need a title
(2) Want help from Mamono and Neko, especially
(3) Have to either summarize, recall, or save the old DMRPG files, since I never turned over my journal to the new webmaster... and I wonder if Seto/Mokuba/Yuugi did? Some of their interactions were great! I know I only have a few of the AIM sessions...
Next up: layouts. Darkness Rising, BEA, Souten, AMC, and now DelishiDoodle (formerly Souten Studios) all need new layouts. Spring Break, here I come! WHOO!
