azurite: (leia pretty dangerous)
Okay, so...
(1) Got a B on my Journalism midterm. MEH. I was hoping I'd do better. I would have gotten a C if it weren't for those 6 random bonus points, too. Grrr...
(2) My speech midterm is on Wednesday, but at least it's multiple choice. I should still study though, because of the material on the "What You Should Know For The Midterm," I couldn't recall much from the top of my head.
(3) My advisement is on Wednesday at 1pm. I hope to get good classes at reasonable times, sort of like this semester (where I start and finish at roughly the same time everyday.) But I haven't seen a Spring 2005 schedule of classes, so I have no idea what to do... o_O!
(4) WDKY has hit 500 reviews! Plus the 1st Anniversary, this is cause for a celebration! I seriously need to make a new profile image, too... preferably something just as tantalizing. But then, what could I do that wouldn't be a downright spoiler of all the juicy stuff to come? *scratches head* I've got it-- someone pick a future chapter number (a number between 12 and 35; I'm leaving 36 out obviously, because it's the END) and I'll do the image based on a good scene from that chapter.
(5) The Darkness Rising layout (new) is coming along, but I still need a picture of Mana in a pose similar to one she's made as Black Magician Girl. Can anyone help me out here? I'm also contemplating a background text image effect, sort of like what's there currently, with a gradient set of hieroglyphs. Only now, it'll be text mixed with Egyptian cartouches. ^_^
(6) Some prick on KazAa Lite K++ kept trying to download the SAME file 4 times. -_- It doesn't make one download any faster when you try to download the same program 4 times! I kept having to cancel his uploads, and eventually it got so irritating that I just closed out of KPP. And people wonder why back in SF (though I was running on 56K back then) I refused all uploads. I don't want to get another Trojan Klez, and I sure as heck don't want to deal with pricks like that.
(7) Next up on the fic front: The Rose Chronicles. I have chunks of Chapter 2 and 3 written, and I'm waiting for the following:
* Kysra's HHE, because I'm bouncing off the walls waiting for it. No rush, though. ^_^
* Time to beat a few more duelists, so I can see the story progress and make sure I know which characters are incarnated as who.
(8) Sending out the Circle Journey book. Eva, expect it in a few days.

Damn, I have to stop taking naps and then going to sleep at weird hours. It's messing me up.

Oh yes:

Damn you, Angelic Layer! I keep on seeing the DDR song "Get up and Move" to Angelic Layer. It's probably my subconscious telling me that I should head on over to ExpertDV the first chance I get and buy the DDR 2nd/3rd/4th Mix AMVs, plus the Iron Chef AMV Duel. Hrm, good idea... but I'm also going to splurge on the PS2 Mod when I get back to SF this December, perhaps a DDR game (I'm leaning toward one of the Karaoke Revolutions, though FFX-2 International/Last Mission could be cool, too). Then there's my usual poisons: books, manga, CDs (especially Utada Hikaru's Exodus and the new Avril CD), the BESM d20 book, and those wicked cool shoes I saw at DSW some time ago. ;_; I hope they're still there... *angst!*

Anyway, slowly but surely I'm beginning to understand the confusion that is amortized loans. Math class is a bitch, but I know if I pass this (hopefully with a B or better) then I won't EVER have to deal with this kind of math (in college) ever again! ^_^ wai~ Now I'm in CAD class, 6 minutes before class start time. I have to catch up on my drawings as we're starting three-dimensional projects, and I have yet to figure out how the heck to make that weird ramp-like 3-D structure in 2-D space. They did it last week, but once again, Lavassani went so horrendously fast that I didn't understand it. I'd like to complain to my Dad, but there's no use; one, he's been notoriosuly hard to get rid of these past few days, and two, he'd just tell me to read the book and sit down at the computer like I'm supposed to.

After this, I'm heading to the library to:
* Update the stocks project and make an Excel file/graph of the stocks, mutual funds, and whatever the third category Jared has... o_O I tried to do it in Quattro Pro yesterday, but my brain just melted trying. I can't believe I'm such a Microsoft junkie. GEH!
* Sit down with my Description and Medieval Ages books and take notes. Lots of notes. Then return the books so I don't have to pay a dime in late fees. *grin*
* Work on my math, because I know I'll never do it at home. I have to start assembling my Chapter 5 notes and assignments, because the test is on Tuesday! O_O!!
* Finish reading and taking notes on "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa." I got a good 4 pages of notes yesterday, but as always, there's more.

At home:
* Read the TV chapter for Journalism class.
* Browse through the Magazine and Radio topics, and DECIDE, once and for all, which one to do for my 2nd media notebook draft (2-1).
* Study for the speech midterm tomorrow.
* Put together my costume using the old Grecian "chiton" style. Borrow some jewelry from Baba to use as shoulder clips and such. Go to Party America and get my wings, and a balloon to make the Award "Ball" with. What should I use to paint the papier mache gold? Spray paint, normal paint? I have gold markers, but that's too much surface area for the amount of liquid paint in those pens.

Later on:
* Go to the mall. Get a new bank account at WaMu, and take at least some money to go to Border's and DSW.

And now... CAD!

I could just sit here for another 2 hours or so, waiting for Scott to get out of class. There's supposedly a storm on its way here, if it's not here already. It's always so quiet in here (the Media Lab) that I wouldn't know if a friggin' cow were outside mooing away.

I'm only here still because a) I have to return "Description" and "Everyday Life in the Middle Ages" sometime. I can buy both books at Border's, but somehow, that just feels... wrong? *shrug* What am I talking about-- I bought 3 romance books for the express purpose of angsting up Only 16, back when I was writing THAT! (Gawd, another personal milestone-- I've actually written something continuously, and it's over 10 chapters long.) Besides, more books are never a bad thing (unless you live in San Diego, in which case it will all eventually burn. J/P!)

I don't have much left in terms of food though, and I *am* hungry-- I have an apple and some mints. Woooow. No money though, and even if I *did* have money, all the on-campus stores (Edge, Mercantile) are closed by now. So... I wait. I wait, and I pray that Scott gets my TM by the time he gets out of class. Only one more hour till he gets out, and another one until we'd leave...

Oh yeah, speaking of Mr. M (that is, Scott): I didn't see him at ALL yesterday. He sent me a one-liner text message, and that was it. I had to convince myself not to be upset with him because he's been studying so diligently for his midterms. I guess I have it easy in that respect, because I don't let myself stress so much over exams. I study, yes, I prepare, yes, but I don't stress because I did the mental breakdown thing before, and I don't care for a repeat. Scott wants to get out of here in a year, and as much as I hate thinking of that, it's a good reason for him to be motivated and for me not to distract him.

He also has another excuse-- he got a haircut. *wince* Okay, so it's not a GREAT haircut, but he thinks he NEEDED a haircut, and I think they (whoever did his hair) overdid it JUST A BIT MUCH. >_< Of course, I'm not superficial about others, really... (look at my past crushes/relationships. Honestly, none of them were Greek gods.) I'm pretty vain about myself, I admit, to the point of probably being a teensy bit self-destructive, but not that much. Still, I kind of wince-grin when I see Scott's new 'do, because you can really see the shape of his head! o_O

I think I've really overdone it per comp. time today. I'd rather just be home eating, playing video games, maybe working on layouts or fics, or, best case scenario (haha) STUDYING! But no, my other textbooks and notebooks are at home, I *want* to wait for Scott since I won't see him AT ALL tomorrow, and I have nothing to do but blather my brains out here on LJ. I've read everyone else's journals, communities too, at least four times. I've checked all my emails, done minor research (transfats, medieval resource books), and finished my first Six Week Investment Report for Math 131. I've even checked out SOLAR to find out the course information and times for next semester's classes, though Japanese and Mythology are still up in the air, as to whether I should be in an advanced Japanese or whether I can take Mythology at all. If I can't, I need something else to fulfill my C1 requirement of General Ed.

The Prime Schedule thus far looks something like this:
(C2) Tuesdays and Thursdays - English 208/Creative Writing in Jerome Richfield 303 - 9:30a-10:45a - Richard Mitchell
(F4 or major) Tuesdays and Thursdays - Journalism 110 in Manzanita 360 - 11:00a-1:50pm (that would be the longest class I've EVER had short of night school!) - Unknown teacher
(C2) Fridays - Kineseology 139A/Ballet I in Kineseology 292- 11:00a-12:40pm (I'd get my own locker!)

Catch is, I don't know whether my adviser would like me taking two C2 classes... of course, I can if I want to, and I *do* want to take both CW and Ballet! Besides that, I *must* get into some Japanese, if not just for my own sanity, then at least for the F2 credit for GenEd.

But even so, no Monday or Wednesday classes? o_O It'd be... er, weird. I'd like the weekends, but... it'd be weird. I looked up other options, but... *shrug* I dunno. Maybe I just need to buy the schedule and sit down with it tomorrow. I won't get suckered into going into any classes where I don't know exactly what they are, what's required, where it is, and so on. And of course I'm going to do the standard background check on any potential profs. I have. I guess I just have to wait for tomorrow and see...

Man, I want pancakes.
