A most fantastic weekend
Oct. 2nd, 2004 06:49 pmWow, it's not even Sunday yet, and I'm already declaring this a great weekend. Okay, you'd think I'd be a bit angsty-- I have 3 midterms coming up in the next 3 weeks, but I'm not worried. There's no midterm for CAD class, and we haven't heard anything from Math yet, so... yeah. My schedule's starting to get booked up-- dog sitting, Magic Mountain, assignments due... October's going to be a fun month! And regardless of what I end up doing for Halloween/All Hallow's Eve/Samhain, I think it'll be a blast. o_O I have a craving to be all kiddy and dress up, trick or treat, and watch Ray Bradbury's "The Halloween Tree." o_O Who knows?
Yesterday the plan was for me to stay over at Scott's in Hollywood again, but since one of his roommate's grandparents was staying over, that plan got canceled-- so sort of impromptu, I asked Baba and Grandpa if Scott could stay over here. They said yes, so long as we slept in separate beds! *grin* When I TMd Scott to tell him, he was "Are you sure!?!?!?!?" I was giggling at all the exclamation and question marks. It was awkward for him when he first arrived; he almost seemed glued to the doorway! He's so sweet and polite... *sways in happiness* His parents are apparently all about the manners, too. O_O This is the time when I'm wishing I still had that American Girl "Oops!" book all about manners... -_-
Well, so it was late when we finally left the anime club (success, by the way. They loved my poster, but they don't seem to get the "weekly poster" idea. I think they just want to mass distribute one poster for the club that will be good anytime. So I have some revisions to do and some more black ink to buy. ^^;) and since Scott was tired, we just headed straight home... there was a quick hello to Grandpa (watching TV in the den) and Baba (who woke up when I turned my light on), and then after they went to sleep, we went downstairs to have one of Baba's famous baked apples. Unfortunately, the Bryer's ice cream turned out to have all that freaky dextrose-glutonate-whatever it's called in it, so Scott had to have the apple super-hot, instead of a'la mode.
But he liked it, so I'm happy. We slept in what used to be Sally's room-- the same place where I stayed when I first moved here, before I had a bed. It has two twin beds in it, and I picked the one closet to the mirror, that I was used to sleeping in... and also the squeakiest bed. -_- But we left the door halfway open, and there was no "funny business." It was a nice night of sleep, even if I didn't spend it in Scott's arms, exactly. Baba and Grandpa left this morning for Home Depot and we woke up... Baba made us French Toast! We watched Yu-Gi-Oh (okay, I did. Scott tried to distract me. Repeatedly.), and 2 episodes of Spiderman on Jetix. Dude, they're doing a Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CROSSOVER! *gapes* Woah.
Scott had homework and midterms to study for, so he left just after 12pm, and I slept after that... woke up after 4, took a shower, and now here I am! I'm extremely proud that I've finally finished a CD sleeve and holographic label for my Bemani Favorites CD for Scott! It looks so cool! ^_^ True, I had to white-out-in the letters for "B" in Bemani and "es" in "Favorites," and the holo-label DID cut off the tail of the S on "Songs" but it STILL looks great. I hope Scott likes it. I should make a Volume 2, just because I know there are songs that I didn't include on there... Break Down, for example.
( The current songlist )
Any suggestions, comments, etc. for Volume 2+ are gladly welcomed... especially if the songs are from other BEMANI games than DDR. Though I need a place to find all the songs...
Anyway, Jill called me as well... she wanted me to babysit the kids, because apparently they've ASKED for me? o_O I found that a bit hard to swallow, but it's cool anyway. I asked if Scott could come too, and Jill was okay with that, but since Scott and I already had plans, she was okay with me coming over tomorrow with Scott instead and going for a swim! So TRIPLE YAY!
* I get to go to Winnetka tonight with Scott on a REAL DATE and see "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow." Plus I get to play Initial D, possibly GuitarFreaks, and DDR-- and at least one of them with Scott! ^_^ Maybe I can even get some pointless prizes...
* I get to spend the night at Scott's in Hollywood... which is always nice. Plus he makes delish dinner.
* Tomorrow, Jill's! Pool! Fun! YAY!
I'm in a great mood. I should work on my fics or study or something. *grin*
