Rock the.... Morning.

@_O Even though I went to bed "late" last night after 12am (okay, so that makes it this morning) I'm still fully awake right now. I woke up around... er, 9:40am ish? Yeah. That's late for me, considering the past few days I've been up at 6am or 7am. I guess it's good practice for the con, when I'll be awake at all hours of... yeah.

Today I complete my To-Do-Or-Die List:
* Drop off bottles and cans at Safeway. Make a few bucks.
* Cash the check at Safeway and buy some facial cleanser and cereal. Maybe some more cheap non-perishables to bring to Fanime. See how cheap their disposable cameras are.
* Go home to drop the cart off; head to C&C to get around 5 more card sheaths. Go home, and assemble 2 decks for Fanime. Make a checklist so I don't lose any.
* Meet Steph in front of Macy*s in Union Square. Chow in the Cellar, and snag some white thigh-highs for my cosplay.
* Hit up Old Navy to see if they have sleeveless, button-up white blouses (with collars). I have a tee-shirt that might do the trick if I fold the sleeves in, but it has a pocket and there's no buttons. >_< Hopefully Mom will still lend me the shirt.

You know, one thing I'm going to LOVE about Northridge is the fact that I will be 3 blocks from the Northridge Fashion Center. Not only a plethora of my favorite stores (and a bunch of potential jobs), but also one of the malls that ALWAYS participates in the Mall Freebies. Everytime I hit up TeenFreeway, there's always NO malls in SF doing the freebies and promotions, but Northridge is ALWAYS on there. So I will much enjoy the freebies. :) Speaking of freebies, maybe before school starts I can swing a new pair of glasses-- I got a $75 off coupon for LensCrafters. Coincidentally, the one in Northridge is where I got my current glasses 5 years or so ago-- when Adam (cousin or something) sat on them during Thanksgiving and then Dad tried to bend them and the nose snapped, and then he superglued them... >_< Yeah.

Hmm, how are people WITHOUT those magical vehicles known as cars getting to Fanime? I'm messing around with the TripPlanner now, and the system keeps telling me to take Muni, then BART, then a bus. >_o Why don't I just take Muni to CalTrain and CalTrain to San Jose? Is there something wrong with that idea?

Hm... I get the feeling I should just go to Safeway already since it's nearly noon. I'm getting kind of restless just sitting here.

Yep, Anzu's cosplay is now 95% complete. Got the shorts, got the bracelets (replacements), got the shirt (sort of), go the shoes (knock-offs) and... got the thigh-highs! Believe it or not, finding white thigh highs is a pain in the ass. They have "pearl" and "nude," but not WHITE. I found a pair finally, but it's got lace at the top. Okay, so Anzu's either going to be insanely sexy or she's going to fold the lace part down. :)

Now I have to work on my decks... I have one planned for Anzu herself, on the whole Bishoujo/Fairy theme, and another for actual dueling if I ever head into the TTG room-- my Kaiba/Dragon deck. Herein the problem lies-- I don't have a lot of Kaiba's trademark cards. These include:
* Ancient Lamp
* Crush Card
* Y Dragon Head
* Z Metal Caterpillar
* XY Dragon Cannon
* XYZ Dragon Cannon
* Polymerization (Need to buy a lot of Joey starters, apparently)
* Heart of Clear Water (good on Lord of D.)
* Shrink
* Vorse Raider

I'm going to try and play the Kaiba Revenge game to see more of his cards that I do/don't have. I have a good number of them, and I can replace some with others... bring Union monsters into the game, and use combos in place of other particulars I don't have.

I've been hitting up Deck Garages/Mechanics/Lab places; forums and sites... not many places seem very up-to-date, let alone written for the English TCG. Is it that hard to find a deck written for people who actually have a sense of grammar? *sigh*

Hung out with Steph today-- we met at Macy*s. After that, we ate down in the Cellar (*wince* about $8 spent on a sandwich and a Jamba Juice) and then went to the St. Francis. Damn, I forgot to pressure Mom (while she was in a good mood) about charging the hotel room to her card. If she doesn't, I'll be screwed come Friday. She said she'd take care of it though, so I have to try my hardest to stay on her good side at least until she does it. And maybe when she's in a good mood tomorrow, gently remind her? >_> Haha...

After the hotel, we hit up Border's, and I started glancing at PLEDGED. Veeeery interesting stuff, that book. I'll have to grab it when I'm down in LA. Not that you'd catch me DEAD joining a sorority. Blech.

I'm actually itching to put a deck together, so I suppose I'll hop back on later with some beta decks... maybe you guys can suggest some changes or fixes to them? I'll also try and post them on yu_gi_oh to see what they have to say, though that community, as with every other forum I've been to, seems proliferated with prepubescent boys.

Dammit, I should start a female duelist community. GRRRRL POWER!

I've been penny-pinching as best I can, and plus she said she was doing something with her mom... Gaugh. I don't want to borrow money from Mom. I wonder if there's something I can throw together-- OOH! COOKIES! :DDD I should just start baking for all my last-minute presents. I can make those little kiss-cookie things. :D
