*sigh* No go. Rutger's cannot admit me, even for non-matriculated classes. Why? The only college that does admit for NM classes is Mike's college, University College... but you have to have been out of high school for at least two years before applying there. Meaning, the soonest *I'd* be able to go there is Fall '05. Between now and then, I could get 12 college credits ("strong college credits," as Mr. Guzzi said) and go into any college on a transfer basis.
USC is probably not going to admit me under the same policy, so it looks like I just have to suck it in and go to a comunity college. There is an option I didn't really consider before... and that's going to a CC in Northridge. True, I wouldn't be able to transfer into CSUN, since they don't ALLOW transfers, but however much time spent living in SoCal getting college credits would be a hell of a lot better than being stuck here in San Francisco. Likewise though, there's a drawback.
At CCSF, I know people going there, I know the campus... I know the process of applying and getting classes. I already have 3 CCSF credits, so I just need 9 more, in classes like English, Math, bleh, bleh. Not looking forward to being in a class with 60 year olds, but... I gotta do this. I'm not going to sit on my ass for another year, while MORE of my friends "Go UC!"
You know, even though Jen Chambers said it was okay for me to stay home today, someone from work STILL called this morning. I'm sure of it; work is the only place where the phone number starts with a 674. I didn't answer since I still felt like crap, and OH YEAH! I can hardly talk. It took all the saliva I could muster just to talk on the phone to Rutger's Admissions, and that was because it was IMPORTANT! It still feels like I swallowed a rock. Besides, the people at work really have no right to bug me because THEY have intercommunications errors when it comes to people calling in sick A DAY IN ADVANCE. Do they really want me to come into work and make THEM sick, too? Not to mention I'd bitch and whine about being stuck at work while sick (using up all their tissues and drinking water when I'm "not supposed to").
Tomorrow I have off, so it doesn't count... my paycheck should go through. I plan to go to Jtown and grab myself Hana Yori Dango #36!!! :DDDDD I have to pay mom for a bunch of stuff... >_< And figure out where my money's going. I think I should do what SO MANY people have recommended, and switch to WaMu. It's just a matter of when, where, and how. I don't want to have to deal with a bunch of paperwork or "approval" issues. :P
You know, I've never been a big fan of the Valentine's Day schpiel. I've never had a good one. And, not to jinx myself further than I already have, but it's best not to get my hopes up anyway, what with my recent strain of horrible luck, near accidents (I've neglected to mention all the times I've nearly set myself/the house on fire, slipping in the bathtub and nearly breaking my neck, etc. etc.) and sickness. So nobody expect cards or nothin' from me, okay? I'm sure ya'll appreciate "the reason for the season" or whatever, but VDay just makes me sick to my stomach. As much as I love WAFF, it never happens [to me] in real life.
But I do like chocolate. :)
Does anyone know what the name of the song used in the Peter Pan live-action movie (2003) commercials was? It's been kinda popular on the radio and all, and I've even heard it used on KQED (public access), but I have no idea what the title or the artist is. And it's not on the Peter Pan soundtrack!
