So only recently they've started keeping paperwork for overshorts, or those incidences when your register has more or less than it's "supposed to." And I've gotten two warnings in two weeks. This is disconcerting, considering I've been there since September and never gotten one before, but one of the OCs says it's because the administrative assistant has JUST started doing them again. *sigh* Too many of them, and I could get fired. Which is not a fun thing.
Speaking of fun things --like raises-- one of my co-workers was right-- it doesn't take effect until February 23rd, 2004. -.- Joy. Oh well, at least I get time and a half for New Year's and Christmas.
Have I mentioned lately how much I *hate* the FAFSA? No, but here I am saying it. Can anyone with experience dealing with FAFSAs answer this question:
What does What is the student's number in college? mean? What is it asking?
AND
If I took ONE class in the Summer 2003 after I graduated HS, does it count as having gone to college? I ask because there are two possible choices to classify my status on the FAFSA:
* Never attended college before and 1st yr. undergraduate
* Attended college before and 1st yr. undergraduate <-- I'm leaning towards this one.
I'm just working on the pre-application worksheet, since I need my W2 and my 1040A (O_O!!! AUGH!) before I can really fill everything out. In a world where technology is supposed to make things simpler, why are taxes STILL the world's biggest pain in the neck?
My resolution: Get this done before Valentine's Day. NO MATTER WHAT. Even if I don't get my W2 till the end of the month, I still have to sort everything out... MUST DO THIS! I *will* get the financial aid I need! It's $22,152!!! I can't even log into my ScholarShare account, where I have my award from the old Governor-- so I can't find out if I can even USE it in Jersey! ;_; Fastweb, here I come...
Damn Citibank still hasn't updated for the paycheck yet. So I'll have to wait until later to pay the admissions fee, and order the SAT and AP score reports. I can't check on CCSF or the SFUSD's sending my transcripts until at least the 19th. Waiting is the hardest part of all this...!
Let's see... at work, there's a whole policy on when guild members show up at the theater, flashing their cheap plastic card and saying "Hey, I pay $400 a month to make myself look better than the other writers in America! So lemme in free!" ^^; One of them complained because I sent him to guest services, but there was a line, and I hadn't read over the policy yet.
We also have the ability to sell the Gold Hearts straight from Box. I need to come up with a Marketing strategy, because I wanna win that. ^_^ They have that weird ET thing on it, but it's all good-- it's for charity! ^_^ I wanna be a wonder heart!
People got fired. Mostly for not showing up to work on time/at all. Some of them were my friends, though, so I'm going to miss them... a lot of the original crew that trained with me isn't here anymore. *sniff* Others were people I just got along with, and now they're gone... They hired new people, of course, but yeesh. We've lost Rosa, Melissa, Crystal V., Jontoya, Mitch (?), and Felicia. The latter 3 I really didn't know that well, so I can't say I'll miss 'em. But the first three were always nice to me... ;_;
There was this freaky guy that one of the Sups described as a "Crackhead" to me. He really *is* crazy though. He not only thought he was old enough to be my dad (er, not unless he has kids young, or he's younger looking than he really is) and that I was cute. Ugh. *shudder* I hate that part of my job. Getting hit on, and getting asked weird/stupid questions.
For the next Snapshot layout, I'm going to try and categorize everything and then try to make a Victorian-style layout. Or maybe 50s-style, with airbrushed "art." I wonder if there's a filter in Photoshop that can turn photos into artbrush-esque images.
I did my research on the New Brunswick area-- even if, again, I'm jumping the gun. It doesn't look as though there's an AMC near the campus-- at least, the closest one is a few miles up on a highway, in a place called Bridgewater. No one said it HAD to be an AMC, but it would be easier-- the job would be practically guaranteed. The theaters out east are so much bigger... I imagine they're always hiring (or never firing, one of the two).
What sucks about scholarships and such is that filing the FAFSA takes forever (moreso since I've never done my taxes before, and so now I have to take into account all MY expenses)... plus almost all the best scholarships at Fastweb are for HS seniors only. I'm technically not a student at all-- an undergraduate, at best. Yeesh. And there was this great scholarship-- for rising female undergraduates, with a minimum 3.0 GPA-- that's me! Only... one of the references must be from a member of the clergy. -.- Gee, thanks. Damn.
I should get to sleep... even though I didn't work on WDKY8 at all again, and I'm still kinda hungry. But there's nothing to eat, and I'm sick of sandwiches for dinner every night.
All of a sudden I have so much to do, but no time to do it in.
