Brr... it's cold...
Jan. 3rd, 2004 05:12 pmWell, I did most of my shopping yesterday... got Mom's birthday present in one fell swoop, and it wasn't that costly, either. A pair of garnet earrings and a gold locket that says 'Mom' on it. ;P Roughly $165. Thank you, Macy*s After Christmas Sales! ^_^
Also went to Borders and blew around $80 on a huuuuge book on Egypt (only $14.99!), two new manga (Confidential Confessions #3, Hot Gimmick #1), and Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Guide (which I love to critique for the massive amounts of errors). Also got Pirates of the Caribbean, which, now that I think about it, was a bad idea-- I could have paid $15 at Best Buy, right? But I paid $22... :P
Geez, I really need to organize my bookmarks...
Today I work 6-X, which isn't that bad, since it's box. I suppose I can smuggle my Pojo mag in there for some entertainment or whatnot. That sounds so wrong... o_O
I've come to a conclusion regarding my gift fics, by the way-- I'm going to post the "Teaser Part 1s" of each fic (there are 3) on "Darkness Rising" on the Fics Page; it will be around my birthday (April 14) before I post any official parts elsewhere. This means more hits for my website, more beta-ideas posted online, and more time to write more of OTHER fics!
Hmm, what else? I also registered for Fanime-- even though I have no idea where I'm going to be in May. I don't know... part of me is willing to give up the potential Sweet Life down in Northridge, just to spend two years (of hell?) going to CCSF, transferring to SFSU, and... yeah. I don't know.
Blech, I do NOT like my LJ's current layout. I'm going to change it. Don't YOU worry about it; most of you are reading (?!) this off your Friend's page anyway...

I've worked a bit on Souten's new layout; I still need to tweak a few things before I post it, though. It's less of a "Winter Blossom" layout than I originally planned; it's sort of a Victorian Sky layout-- clouds and such.
I hate seeing my friends depressed. I want to see everybody again. Wouldn't it be cool if I could just clone myself and be in a million places at once? I miss the days when people would turn to me for advice, when I could really be a sounding board, instead of the Bossy Bitch everyone spread Nasty Rumours about. I miss everybody.
Does anyone miss me? *shrugs* If anyone has anything to say, please let me know somehow. Call me. Email me. IM me. Something. I'm kinda lonely, I guess... It'd be nice to sit down and have a long ass conversation with someone. Okay, maybe not today. -.- Since I'll be at work... *sigh* But something tells me not to get my hopes up about doing anything particularly special with Mom tomorrow. I mean, Gary's back, and birthdays/January/whatever always makes Mom kinda depressed. I simply don't need more darkness hanging over me. I'm in one of those "I wanna party and make everyone smile" moods. o_O How odd.
