I Tink I Brode My Nobe
Jan. 2nd, 2004 12:45 amI think I broke my nose. No, seriously. There wasn't any Hollywood blood, but there was an audible crack, and now there is what I believe a lump in my nose that Wasn't There Before. -.- So it wasn't enough that I already have a crooked wannabe-Jewish schnoz, but now it's even MORE deviated than before. :P

Work wasn't bad... I guess I had the memories of last night to cheer me up. Honestly, a great New Year's. No one threw up, and everyone seemed pretty happy...
I think I might have been the only dark cloud there for awhile, as I unpredictably thought of Michelle while watching the fireworks up on the hills. That sort of bummed me out; her birthday's on the 21st, and she would have been... what, now? 27. Wow. She'd probably have kids and be married now. Or at least be somewhere getting her graduate degree or directing movies or... geez. I don't know.
I'm never going to be an aunt. That sucks. That really, really sucks.
If I'm ever dumb enough to get married, he better have a sister or something. Who has kids.
Yeah, so the fireworks rocked. Everyone was hyped up about it, until we were all going to leave, and then the slightest mention of drizzle glued everyone in their spots to where they were standing, watching people play games. -.- Apparently 'Niichan, Anthony, and some other people tried to find us, but Ilene, Chris, and I had wandered to some weird place that no one could find.
Mahoro-ville, perhaps. *smirk*
We screamed, we yelled, I tried to drink rain... Ilene and Chris kissed. :P Haha, I never was a sucker for that tradition much, anyway.
Though admittedly, I did like my living pillow for the night... *huggles*
Yeah, and the thing about New Year's? You're a little bit more willing to let the past go. It's probably not that much easier, but... I suppose honesty (drunkenness?) and such come hand-in-hand with a new year. You learn new things about people every day, I guess... :D
I go to work at 10-something tomorrow, so I better log... *sigh* Mom's present will have to wait for the 3rd, when I don't have to work until 6th.
