Good Day, Bad Night
Dec. 13th, 2003 09:59 amGah. Someone tell me why I went to Anime FX? The past me would have said it was because I need my anime fix, because I wanted to see my friends, blah, blah... but being at SFSU pisses me off. The place is way out of my way for work, and if Joe hadn't given me a ride to and from, there wouldn't have been much incentive to go. Most people seem to greet Joe, but not me. I used to be a fixture at Anime FX, but the minute I get a job, people forget about me. The only reason the crowd in the extra room even said hi to me was because I started walking out again. I hate feeling forgotten like that; it's like, "What friends am I here to visit?"
And frankly, few of the anime titles interested me. I wanted to catch Millennium Actress, but traffic and other tardiness-causing incidences caused me to miss it. Which royally screwed me over for the raffle that I got all excited about AND spent my last $2 on. I lost because I didn't know Marc's last name. -.- Out of the entire Anime FX "crew" I know maybe 7 last names! Claudine, Vince, Joe, PsyJoe, Jimmy, Cris, and Richie! THAT'S IT! *sigh* And of course, the few questions I could have answered got snagged by other people.
By the way, the last name thing blew up in my face later, when I tried to explain to Joe as we were leaving how few last names I knew. And I screwed up pronouncing HIS last name. This, the guy that I've hung out with more than my own co-workers (well, probably) in the past few months, not to mention I've gone out with him! Yeesh, he looked at me like I killed his grandma, or ate Petey or something. So I feel horrible, stupid, and horribly uninvited to everything. This depresses me, but renews my spirit to get into CSUN. OUT OF SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!!!
Mom's being sorta dumb too. She got me a coat for winter the other day (we dragged Joe along), but she refuses to give it to me until Christmas. -.- So I have to freeze until then. On the bright side, she's not as annoying as usual (then again, I *still* don't hang around her much at all) so I'm actually considering getting her something very nice and expensive for the big 5-0. *ssh!*
Yu-Gi-Oh's going to be on soon, so I'm going to log, get dressed for work, and head out to the living room.
*sigh* I just hope they let me come home early.
