_queen_c_ to thank for this one... September 19th (aka Joe and Mark's birthday) is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. ARR! This oughta be interesting.
Okay, so there was some sort of thunderstorm with barely any rain this morning. It occured to me how damn lucky I am not to have to wake up and go to school at 7am, because I remember the hells of having a sopping wet umbrella and dripping my way up to my classes. And when it's rainy, it's so much more dangerous on campus... I imagine that's true wherever you go, but high schools are really just death traps. "School" is a fancy name they gave to them hundreds of years ago.
My eye infection looked SO MUCH WORSE this morning... I tried to look up any alternate methods to reduce the swelling besides a hot compress, but that's about it. Damn stye. So I've been holding a damp, microwaved washcloth to my face the past 20 minutes or so. I got sick of it after a while (trying to hold a washcloth, navigate webpages, and read email all at the same time? IMPOSSIBLE!) and decided to take a break. I guess I'll have to take a hot shower to try and reduce the swelling more before I go. I mean, wouldn't it just be terrible if I showed up to my orientation, the first day, and I'm suddenly labeled "The Girl With One Eye Smaller Than The Other" or something like that? Ugh.
Oh yeah! So it's September 3rd-- just under two months before Halloween! I don't know what anyone else has planned, but the bestest holiday in the world is on a FRIDAY! So if we don't have anything particularly cool going on at RTA (or people having Halloween dances?) then I'm doing my usual-- PARTY! Last year I cooked up a storm of spooky treats and had a bunch of people over to watch some freaky flicks. Albeit my place isn't the best for a TON of people, I am, as usual, planning on costuming up, cooking, and sharing spooky stories. Call me a dork. Hehe, maybe I can even do fortune telling! ^_^ I wonder if anywhere is having a Halloween or Samhain Bazaar... Hehe, it'd be cool to celebrate Samhain with some other Wiccans... ^_^
Anyway, so if anyone has anything to say in regards to a Halloween bash, haunted house or otherwise, let me know... I want to do something with EVERYBODY! >) Even if it's just raiding the Halloween Superstore.
Let's see... called the Transcript Office. It's hardly close by, but I'm sure I can swing by to get my transcript ($3/each) sometime today. Or tomorrow? Who knows when I'll start work, and that's a fact that has me a bit paranoid-- what with the wedding and now me being somewhat sick. -.- Lady luck just LOOOVES me, doesn't she? Feh.
Whee, September 4-6 is a Student Day at Border's!!! >) Time to mooch cash off Mom and get those manga I want! (Gah, crap-- it has to be a valid --i.e. current-- student ID. I don't have one! Damnit, I KNEW I should have saved that CCSF ID!)
Okay, so things to do today--
(1) Shower to reduce more eye swelling. Fun.
(2) Dressed-- for going aaaalll the way out to Portola to get my transcript, and alll the way downtown at 6pm for my orientation. Note-- DO NOT WEAR EYE MAKEUP!
(3) Go to aforementioned places. Be charismatic.
(4) Don't forget to do dishes beforehand. Or mom will become the UberBitch.

Waiting for something from SFSU to come, though I imagine I have to bring them the transcript and the SAT scores first. Whee, my SAT scores excuse me from the English exam! >)
Also waiting for Mom's paperwork from the Child Support people to come, so I can get my FAFSA filed already for SFSU financial aid! ;_;
Am I waiting for something else...? Free stuff? A check? o_O Hmm, why do I feel like... oh! My prescription refill would be nice. I'm sneezing and coughing so much these days!
Hehe, I want to start getting Barbie Catalogs in the mail again-- they have a new line, 1 Modern Circle that looks pretty cool! One of them has BLUE HAIR!
