Mer's Adventures in Nede
Feb. 3rd, 2003 12:02 amIf you can't tell by the rather uncreative subject of this long-awaited entry, I've been playing Star Ocean. ALL WEEKEND. Obsessed much? ^^;; Ehehe, I woke up around 9:30ish with the need to play SO2, and I didn't truly *stop* playing till around 11:00 tonight. Oh sure, I had bathroom and food breaks here and there, watched all of Alias and most of Charmed before that... but I was really flipping back and forth between the game and the show. I was honestly going to stop earlier this morning when I got Opera (!) and later Ermest, but I decided, "Ah, why not at least get to Eluria and try to beat Berle?" since on my last file (with Claude, Rena, Precis, Leon, and Celine) Berle kept on royally kicking my ass, even though I thought I was staying alive for the full minute.
Well *grin grin* I did it. ON MY SECOND TRY! EAT THAT MR. BAD WISE MAN! HOO-AH! ^_^ I was so happy I was practically bouncing off the walls-- but I only succeeded in tangling myself up in the blankets-- see, I'd slept on the couch, because last night my allergies were still bugging me. That's why I was out like a light most of the day, not online and not responding to phone calls-- my nose and my head were hurting major and I was just *_* . So yeah. For the curious, I slept right through my almost-meeting with Taisuke, and chances are he left a voicemail or two which I'm not too eager to check. Blah.
Ooh, more SO2 goodness! I noticed many weird things as I played today-- mainly because this time I got much farther than I had in any of my other files, especially considering character leveling up and PAs performed. My party currently consists of Claude, Rena, Celine, Precis, Leon, Ernest, Opera, and Chisato. I've been pretty good about getting people leveled up and thus getting tons of SP, but stuff still seems to be rather off. Like, for example, how I had Level 10 pickpocketing and Dexterity for Claude, but when I went to the Calnus to steal the Battle Suit from the cadet, it didn't work! ARGH! I even snatched a Magician's Hand from some Skill Guildsman, but even with that my Pickpocketing isn't the best. >_< I get plenty of good items, but yeesh... I also noticed that just after I got Chisato, in the camp menu, where all the character sprites are... Chisato appeared to be wearing Celine's clothes! (or lack thereof, considering it IS Celine) She still had the red hair and everything, and the whole "Celine-ish" outfit was styled just like Chisato's... O_o And when I switched Celine and Chisato's places, that happened to Celine-- Celine started appearing in a purple buisness suit with cropped silver hair! Waaa...
In two PAs in the game, I couldn't find certain characters-- one was Rena, the other was Precis. @_o It was like they just vanished. Very odd. Mm, and suddenly money's become an issue in this part of the game too, even though Master Chef! and Publishing are at pretty high levels (10 and 9, I think). But everything's so expensive!! Not to mention that despite all my leveling up, I'm apparently NOT ready for the Field of Intelligence, as I keep getting my arse whooped by those stupid wizard guys! ARGH! But but but! I did finally manage to find my way to Giveaway, and I did the first 2 PAs that lead to the unlocking of the secret North City files! YAY! Now I just have to go back to North City, back to Giveaway, etc. etc. until they're unlocked~
*ahem* Yes, but I did do other things this weekend. Mm, I left out a buncha fun stuff about Bemani Night. Like, for example, Jeremy's surprise. Ooh, whee! He went WAY out of his way, above and BEYOND the call of duty (can you tell I'm uber happy about this?) and he was wearing his BDUs-- to Bemani Night! That's gutsy in and of itself, being a tourist zone and all, and someone could mistake him for a short National Guardsman, but no one did... Hehe, he even had the combat boots! @_@ He was so cuuute... I know I'm not the only one who thought that either, ehehe... Mou, but he was being such a tease!
The whole night was weird in that sense. Out of nowhere, Amber asked me to kiss her. I think the both of us scared the living bejesus outta poor Will who was busy DDRing some and being sick the rest of the time. Better, Jeremy got it on camera, and the picture looks awfully steamy, even though I'd started laughing on it because of something Jeremy said. I can't remember what it was though. @_@ Hehe, it was all good. I think the whole incident turned Amber on to a "pictures of people kissing" spree, and she kept trying to convince Fred and Jeremy to kiss. (For the record, Fred was damn well dressed that night, and the whole good-one-moment, totally-'licious-evil the next definitely made an impression) Fred was kinda shy about the whole thing, and we were trying to keep Jeremy in the dark about it, but we all totally blew it when we dragged the two of them outside and brought out the camera. ^^; Jeremy told us two things: one, that he'd have to jump to do it in the first place (eh, either one of them could bend down/lean up) and two, his parents would disown him if they found out (and I don't know how they would, but I respect Jeremy's better judgement). Oh phoo. Well, *I* had fun. I still feel kinda bad for laughing though.
I stayed the night at Amber's house, as you all know, after the two of us walked Will home. Well, we took the F from RTA with Bryan, who was supposed to met Akito at the Met... it was nice to have some company (i.e company that wasn't being mushy with another person) on the train too, and we talked about a lot of stuff-- musicals and the like. ^_^ If I'm feeling particularly strange one day when people are over at my house, they can watch that video I have from Cinnabar Musical Theater Camp back in '93 (ye olden days!). Hehe. I was so little then... @_o
Interesting things at Amber's house: 1) the cat refused to leave me alone. She slept on my legs, on my arms, jumped on my neck, stared me in the eye, you name it. She's starting to scare me, but I love cats, even if I'm highly allergic to them. 2) the snake was loose. O.O! What a thing for Amber's mom to tell me as I'm about to fall asleep on the living room floor! She was even saying that the snake, even though it needed to eat live food (like rats) might find the cat and try to choke it! @_@ Thankfully, as I just found out though, the snake's been found. And there were no incidents that night either, thank god. 3) I totally forgot what I ate that night, but I remember the next morning our plans to eat blueberry pancakes fell through, due to limits on time (as Amber was heading out to meet Fred, Alyson, some guy whose name starts with S (sorry, I forgot!) to go to MGL). We ended up having Froot Loops (me) and Buzz Blasts mixed with Frosted Flakes (her). Suffice it to say, the combination kinda creeped me out, but she did eat it all, so I guess it must have tasted good... Mm, and she used disposable bowls and utensils too, something I should consider, to cut back on the dish hands! *flashback to the BBT play "Finger Food"* Ahaha...
Ooh yeah, we also watched Bible Black, which I restored to her compie and added DiVX to. It was funny trying to explain the so-called plot of the whole thing to Amber, who I think had only watched the stupid 7 minute dub sequences we got from before. But this 28 minute episode was GOOD, and no one was home (well, Amber's grandma was, but I don't think she heard us... ~_~) Yeah, but it was Episode 5 or something, which I thought was the LAST episode. But NOOO, there's more dirty, well-animated sex and projectile cumshots to come! WHEE! Damnit, I need DSL! >_< Okay, if this totally shocks you, I'm very very sorry. But I love laughing at this kinda stuff, and some people get surprised at how seriously I take hentai nowadays (what a contrast to my younger self, geez). I got a buncha HOT HOT HOT clothes from Amber too, and when I went to get chinese food last night (what can I say, it was a craving... SO2 made me think of rice and beef with snow peas!) I looked all uber-cute. I love feeling confident, so please don't misinterpret this as vanity (though I am somewhat self-centered... @_o). I thnk I'll wear some of the more 'licious clothes on Friday. Whee~ And hopefully this weekend, SANTA CRUZ!
Lessee, I took the Bart home, and since I'd thrown my contacts out the night before (and they were a pain in the ass to take out!) I couldn't see. I'd told my mom I had my glasses when I didn't, but I figured I could survive. Eh, mostly, anyway. But as Amber et. al. left on the Dublin/Plesanton train, I could swear I saw someone on the far car wave out and yell to me, but it wasn't Amber, since she was right in front of me with everyone else. Since I couldn't see and my own train was arriving, I half-waved back, confused, and just turned around and got on my train. I listened to Full Moon O Sagashite music the whole time, thankfully my battery didn't run out. ^_^ I got to Daly City, waited an enormously long time for the stupid 28, and got home around 11a. Yay.
I went to sleep, feeling out of it and allergy-icky, and slept right through the time when Taisuke was supposed to call. I feel bad about that, since I didn't really get to tell him (online OR on the phone) that I didn't feel up to meeting him in person just yet. Oh well. *sigh* I hope Will's feelin' better, I can't wait to just bounce out and tell him how I practically zoomed through the game. Most of my characters are on level 53, with Chisato, Ernest, and Leon somewhat lower... and even though I have 479 battles, I really haven't been playing all that long-- of the 69ish hours listed, only 21 of those were actual gameplay, since I left my PSX on for two days straight before... >_> Oopsie...
Sore ja... I have web pages to make, fanfics to write, articles to print, emails to read, and a game to ass-whoop. I don't think I've forgotten anything about the weekend...
