Bummer... looks like I won't be meeting those people from the Fanime chat today. ;_; I was supposed to go online the other day, but cleaning + company over + Harry Potter + exhaustion = no online time for Mer. So I didn't get a chance to chat with them and arrange a place to meet, so... I don't know. All I know is that I have to weasel some money out of mom for Mel's/HP3 tonight. Yay though, she gave me book 3! I need to take a short nap and then maybe read it all... NOW.

Yesterday I got an impromptu invite (as you may or may not know) to Cris's house with Jimbo. Now, my thirst needed quenching before I left (I also brought Ritz, and you know how salt just makes you thirstier), so I made a quick hit at 7-11 before I left... but even with $1.29, I couldn't afford any of the sodas. It took me forever and help from the 7-11 guy before I could find an Arizona tea for 99 cents. WHEW! >_> Jimbo wasn't too happy that I took so long, though.

Uhm... we watched SNATCH (confusing movie, that), some Brisco County, Jr. (I fell asleep) and I even played some Soul Calibur II. The cool part was towards the end of the night/early morning, when I woke up and got some hot cocoa (note: Godiva chocolate requires either milk or lots of sugar) and got Cris and Jimbo to explain the entire SCII storyline to me. Fascinating stuff-- it's amazing how fighting games can have such elaborate backstories-- and the Making Of bits, like how many versions of the game there are... neat! >_> I wonder if I should hunt down some good SCII fics. ^^ Hehe.

Anyway, since Cris has work today, we left around 9:30-- luckily I got my mom to set the VCR and record Yu-Gi-Oh (though what happened after Yugi played "Card of Sanctity," huh? Was it a TBC?). Jimbo and I took a 43 on Lombard, and then a Geary Limited home... I walked with him to Balboa before heading off myself. So... had breakfast, vacuumed the living room, dusted the table... there's a load of dishes waiting for me to do them, but I had less than 7 hours of sleep (oh, WOW... considering the, what, 14+ I got YESTERDAY!?) so I kinda wanna take a nap...

Notes on fics-- some strange reviewers misunderstand how MMorg works:
(1) COMPLETE for status only applies to the given chapter in which it is featured. For example, Chapter 1 of "Family," is complete, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. I never said the story was complete. :P

(2) Likewise, I never said WDKY was going to be 39 chapters-- nor have I said it *is* 39 chapters. I have it planned to be 36 (KEYWORD BEING "PLANNED!"), and I have 9 (10 if you count 7B as a separate chapter) chapters out right now. I have 10 on the drawing board, and almost all the chapters up to 18 fleshed out. After that point, I need to get into a major discussion with my betas... ^^;

I'm again, amazed by the sheer number of people supporting unlicensed, illegal stuff. Yes, there was a day when I actually considered buying HK DVDs, but probably going to Fanime and listening to Jimbo a lot has got me against it now. Not that I think the manga-ka or anime studios out in Japan are destitute and in need of some poor American's money (far be it!) but I don't think that people living in South America, Cuba, or wherever have the right to say "give me licensed English manga for free because I'm POOR!" It doesn't work like that. Even if they don't have a Barnes and Noble, or if, for some bizarre reason, they can't ship a measly book from Amazon.com's millions of warehouses, they CAN and SHOULD get the books in their proper language. Last I checked, English was not the primary language for Cuba, Panama, or hell, BRAZIL! I know that a lot of titles don't get licensed into said languages, but I know for a fact that the originals and/or English versions are sold there... blah blah. I don't know. I just don't know.

Hm. Noodles.
