When she gets excited, she cleans.
May. 25th, 2004 09:06 pmI think I'm weird.
I mean, who else CLEANS when they get excited about something? I went into my room with the intention of packing and everything, but I'm still missing the thigh-highs. I found two bracelets that would serve as suitable replacements for the pink and blue chunky ones (I actually HAD two such bracelets, but they no longer fit). Got most of my outfits together, too-- I'm hoping it'll be hot in San Jose this weekend. Got a nice "night" outfit, and, besides my cosplay, a Chinese-print tank dress, and my blue lace sleeveless with a pair of jeans. :) And, should I deign to play switcheroo with Anzu on Saturday or Sunday, I also have my denim semi-pleated skirt. Chain gang Anzu! :DD It has a chain on the side.
So I started out by sorting all my markers. I wanted to get my sketchbook, etc. together for the con, but my smallest Pentel set was missing colors. I decided if I wanted to find them, I had to search through all my markers. All the Crayolas, RoseArts, Kodaks, and Berol Prismacolors. >_< It was a very long, very aching task. My back still smarts from all that sitting. But I got both my 35 marker set and my 24 set completed-- plus I found a bunch of extras back when I had a Japan Pentel set, rather than the Taiwan ones. So I have a nice clean sketchbook, colored pencils, and markers ready for con-time!
I got my CA ID today. That was fast... and it means I don't have to deal with the hassle of showing my Birth Certificate and my JCC ID to the guys at Fanime. Checking in and registering will be a lot easier... but I hate my picture. I should have expected it. Stupid photo booth lady. My face is ALL red and my neck is stark white. Yes, my smile looks lovely, and no, my eyes don't look crossed or squinty, but MY FACE IS ALL RED! I look like a damned tomato. A smiling tomato. (A Mystic Tomato!)
I've also finished sorting out most of my Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and I've got a couple of ideas in mind for some decks. One is going to be relatively Kaiba-themed, with several of his trademark hard-hitters, but amped by a few support cards. I guess getting my ass handed to me by his virtual counterpart has inspired me to make a deck in his name. ;O Speaking of his virtual-ness, I ALMOST beat him today! I had him down to 2800 LP, and the computer froze. Jerk. He must have cheated. :P It happened twice. ;_;
I have also discovered, in the process of looking for Battle City Anzu screenshots, wonderful things.
(1) ratandfox.net/YuGiOh/ - has summaries and comparisons between the Japanese and English eps of Yu-Gi-Oh. It goes pretty far ahead, all the way up to the later 100s. But what I love are the random inserts of Japanese changes-- in Anzu's duel with Crump/Big 2, Crump is talking about his past... in the Japanese version, after he discovers his love of penguins and later suggests to Seto Kaiba a penguin-themed park. Japanese Kaiba's snarky reply: "If it's about black and white, why not pandas?" *giggles* I have to have an excuse to work that into a fic somehow. Maybe Kaiba's favorite animal is a panda. :DDDD I know they're MY favorite animals. And btw, the World Wildlife Fund is having a contest on the World's Cutest Animal. THE PANDA IS WINNING! BOOYAH!
(2) I found a site with Kaiba CELS. :O He is SO HOTT. And the hilarious thing is, the webmaster said that even though Bakura is her favorite character (sadly, his evilness bumped Kaiba from the #1 position), every time Kaiba's on screen she "can't help but look at his incredible crotch." I died of laughter reading that. Seriously, if you ever GLANCED in that general direction? *grin* Kaiba wears some TIGHT pants. :) *drooling fangirl*
Hmm, can you wear contacts in a pool? This is, assuming of course, that I figure out which contact goes in which eye, and that I can successfully GET THEM IN on Friday-Monday. Damn my poor vision.
Other stuff -- I've noticed that the more fics you put out at once, the less reviews you get overall. Which stinks. But I AM NOT A REVIEW WHORE. ;_; I just like feedback. In any case, "The Joke's On You" is in the lead for "fic to post next." :) I've got WDKY10 on my desktop... I should work on it. :D
Tomorrow-- thigh-highs, camera, and other necessities for Fanime. Suggestions? Anyone? Anyone? (Bueller?)

Date: 2004-05-26 04:43 am (UTC)Hey, when do you get back into town?
Weird?
Date: 2004-05-26 05:21 am (UTC)I don't clean when I'm excited, but I certainly do it when I'm depressed >-<
You HAVE to give me the link with those Seto cels!!!!!!! O.O Must. Have. Now! I NEED some Hot-Seto-Goodness!!!! Cuz it's Seto and he's Hot and that's GOOOOOODDDDD. I woke up my parents when I read that "incredible crotch" thing XD I think I need to be more diligent in noticing that - just for the sake of fandom, mind . . . Really. *snerk*
YES YES YES! More TJOY!!!!!!! PULEASE!!!!! *grinnies* Otherwise, I will have to beg. I'm pathetic when I beg. And oh *sniffles* More WDKY!!!! Must know what happens!
Have fun at Fanime! I, myself, cannot wait for A-kon!
Re: Weird?
Date: 2004-05-26 06:08 pm (UTC)And there was some weird, random word at the top-- the person who made it explained it had nothing to do with anything, I think. Joudex? Something like that.
There were only 2 Seto cels on the site, but *drool* he is so yummy looking in them both. Here's the site:
http://cyberpsychos.netonecom.net/Cels/Yugioh-DM/Kaiba.html
*grin* WDKY is coming along... slowly.
Hey, if you get the chance at A-kon, see if they're showing "This is Otakudom." Laugh your ass off, then read WDKY10 when it comes out. The jokes will suddenly make a very twisted sense. :>
CON POWAH!
Re: Weird?

Eh, "This is Otakudom"? Is that anything like "Otaku no Video" XD I'll look out for it!
Re: Weird?
Date: 2004-05-27 02:23 am (UTC)And lots of funny previews, such as Fight Club, starring Ash Ketchum and Pikachu (aka Brad Pitt).
