BOOKISH! --stolen from
schmollieollie.
Directions:
1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph
Cheyenne Mountain sits on the eastern slope of Colorado's Front Range, rising steeply from the prairie and overlooking the city of Colorado Springs. "I'm Nancy Drew," she whispered. "The Miss Boonton you're entertaining is an impostor." Every weekend, no matter the weather, dedicated anglers set off for their favorite spots, joined by curious first-timers in their pursuit of the day's catch. It's Luke Brandon. Read and respond to someone else's work as you would like them to read and respond to yours.
...Up until the last sentence, it was kind of cool. My five books were:
(1) Fast Food Nation - Eric Schlosser
(2) Nancy Drew #55: Mystery of Crocodile Island - Carolyn Keene
(3) Kokology: The Game of Self-Discovery - Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito
(4) Confessions of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella
(5) A Writer's Workbook - Caroline Sharp
WHAT THE FUDGE IS OTP!?!?!?!
*bawls* People are leaving the Sockdom. The people that RP Buffy/Angel characters, that is. It's sad. And you know what-- there's someone who replied to
xander__harris with an icon from an episode that I totally forgot, and it makes me miss Wesley and Cordelia insanely much. When Wesley was mocking Angel and Cordy was mocking Buffy... "I love you so much I almost forgot to BROOD!" ;_; I miss Wesley.
What I find so cool about the community in Sockdom is how they coordinate their icons. Leastwise in the Angelverse. I like the line "I Will Not Fade Away." Very ficcy-feel to it. And I wanna make YGO icons like that. :O
Still looking for that MouseOver script. And since Kysra seems to like humor (I believe she said she liked TJOY), I'm going to torture her with my newest attempt at comedy... "You and Me." *grin* TOP SECRET!

Ah hah
Date: 2004-05-22 09:52 pm (UTC)You'd think the "true" bit would inspire more logical pairs than Spike and a clipboard (or if you want to relate it the YGO fandom, Seto and his duel disk).
^_^ It's cool that you're adding me, but be prepared for long and angsty posts if you do read them. And weird ones, as well.
As for updating, I just sent you an email about an evil plan we'll need your assistance in... and you're on my AIM hotlist, so you'll get poked frequently enough. :) Hope to see you postin' soon!

Date: 2004-05-23 07:49 pm (UTC)It's okay if you have long angsty posts. _^_ It'll give me something to read if I get bored. >3
Got the e-mail, and got started as best as I could. o.o I don't know what else to do right now. And I kinda figured I was on SOME list to be poked as it was. _^_ Just thought I would make it easier. Just in case. ^O^;;
bookish
Date: 2004-05-22 09:24 pm (UTC)Call me Ishmael. Someone ran around yelling that a collective telegram had to be composed right then and there, before anyone could leave, and sent off right away. But d'Artagnan remembered, at the bottom of the stairs, that he had forgotten his cane; he therefore hastened up again, re-entered the cabinet, and with one touch of his finger put the clock to its right time, so that it might not be seen the next day to have been wrong: then, satisfied that he had a witness there to prove his alibi, he again descended the stairs, and soon found himself in the street. Then, holding out his hand, he added: "You may perhaps be rewarded for your disinterested devotion. It does me too.
