azuriteFinally, I'm done watching Disc 1 of the 8 Disc SM Season 1 DVD Boxed Set! I'm on a DVD craze now; I really have to get SMR's boxed set, since that's like... *my* season. The one that I wrote about endlessly, the one that inspired me for almost everything... *insane giggling* I can't wait until I have enough to get it! It does inculde the the Makaiju *and* the Black Moon arc, right?
Okay, so no one wanted to come over and chill/party on Valentine's Day, which is perfectly okay with me; I get to walk around my house dressed how I want, doing what I want, and all without feeding an extra six mouths. All those Froot Loops to myself! Bwaha! Yeah, so I went to Cala on 4th Ave. yesterday to get some juice, waffles, and cereal... and the cashier was nice enough to ring me up a Cala card, so I saved a few bucks! I spent those saved bucks on Yu-Gi-Oh cards; they have a vending machine near the front of the store that dishes out some pretty recent cards (as recent as Magician's Force, it seems) for only 50 cents! Catch is, there's also Japanese cards in there (I got a Japanese Sangan; also known as Kuritta [Critter]). I also blew $4 on a Newsweek; "Who Really Killed Jesus?" Looks like Gibson's "Passion" movie is a bigger deal than I thought; it comes out later this month, so I should catch the employee screening.
Got inspired for a fic while watching the early SM episodes, including 3 eps I had never seen before *dreamy sigh* Ah, that was good! Hard to believe what a phenomena Sailor Moon has become, eh? The animation's certainly improved from the beginning episodes, that's for sure. The sound kind of sucks though; Heart Moving (the first ending theme) is rather hard to make out. And I do wish professional subtitling companies would take a page from the fansubbers' books and do karaoke; you know, with English *and* Japanese lyrics in the opening/closing songs. And maybe an option to have creditless opening/closings? There are NO extra features whatsoever on these DVDs, which sucks.
That fic idea? Well, I wanted to post *something* for WAFF day, but you know me with my moods lately; I can't write WAFF anymore! O_O!! The fic I had in mind would seriously have turned out at least SOMEWHAT TAFFy. ;_; I did come up with another idea... I should smack myself for thinking it. It's a vague Sailor Moon/Yu-Gi-Oh fusion (NOT crossover), but... well, I don't think I'd ever pull it off without breaking every rule in my book.
My first and ONLY Valentine (Mom's doesn't count; that was a box of chocolates) came from Mamono; she's the sweetest person EVAR, and needs to write more ISE. *glares* On the plus side, *nibbles on chocolate heart* I love chocolate. :)
Does anyone know how to change the selection you make from CDDB (Gracenote CD Database) when auto-playing a song in Winamp? I started listening to my FFX-2 OST, and there were two options; English or Japanese. Someone told me there wasn't even an English OST, so I got worried; I picked the Japanese one. But of course, as per usual where *any* Japanese CD is concerned, the titles are all ????? instead of Japanese characters (or even Romaji, like RealPlayer uses). ;_; Does anyone know how to "undo" a CDDB selection so I can pick the English one, instead?
What else? Well, in all honesty, the LJ Party wasn't all that. They haven't been, for a while-- at least, the ones I've been to. Maybe it's just timing in my case; a long strain of bad luck and sickness, plus Valentine's Day... not something worth partying over, IMHO. Waste of $4.50. Saw "Catch That Kid" with Aaron though; that was fun. I spent $2.50 on a 99 cent Strawberry Shortcake bar (my favorite cold dessert, in case you didn't know), but... :P Whatever. Maybe I'm just a party-pooper by heart, or maybe I was being overly sensitive.
Almost done working on the updated version of BEA's "Feature" page. A member wants "Evidence," as well, but I think that's a bit... well, naive? As much a canon-ite as I am, I know Seto/Anzu will NEVER (okay 95% sure) get together in the series. I'd laugh my ass off if they did, probably before jumping for joy... >_> The way I see it, the series is going to end with the ending that Takahashi implied at the very beginning; Yuugi growing up and becoming the sort of person everyone admired Yami Yuugi for being. Meanwhile, Anzu has since realized that Yami Yuugi and her best friend Yuugi are one and the same... the only thing being that Yami Yuugi will have to "return" to the Afterlife. That's going to HAVE to happen; all the battles between Bakura (i.e. Yami Ryou Bakura) and Seto will have to be resolved. Yuugi's going to have his true friends, and he's going to be the kind of friend people WOULD and DO count on. And they'll keep on living their lives... only, without all the magic, mayhem... This is just my speculation though; don't take my word for it. I doubt they'll be any romantic pairings, when you get down to it.
