azuriteOkay, so I'm not going to Alameda tomorrow. It's finals over at AHS, and not only will my dad be kaputzing everywhere, but the college counselor lady won't be there. Okay, fine. I still have to get everything done though. Hav eto bug mom to give me $46 (credit) to get SAT and AP scores sent to USC (I'm SO not paying for another set), and get all the necessary paperwork copied/filled in for the CSS and FAFSA. The sooner, the better.
I don't have to pay taxes though, so yay! A lot of confusion eliminated, right there. I'm still trying to stick with the organized-and-responsible bit, though. Trying to balance my checkbook, keep and sort my receipts, that kind of thing.
Okay, on a few other topics...
Okay, I don't get it.
Didn't Shinra (the kid on the Celsius) invent the dressphere system? They take normal spheres and convert them. Normal spheres record the emotions of their last user into them. Spheres record video or sound, sort of like our VHS or CD/DVDs, right?
So:
* Why was Leblanc able to turn INTO Yuna? Why does wearing a dressphere that wasn't DESIGNED for Yuna, with YUNA'S memories, turn Leblanc into a Yuna-replica?
* Speaking of the same, Yuna's songstress dressphere must have been a sphere of Lenne's, right? At least, that's what I'm thinking. It explains why, when Yuna fell asleep in that outfit, she saw a scene of something that likely NEVER happened to her and Tidus, but to Lenne and Shuyin, yes?
* But wait-- the Gullwings get one dressphere for each of them... right? I mean, yeah, you can have an entire party of White Mages or Gun Mages, but that's assuming more than one girl can tap into a single dressphere. They can even share the same Garment Grid. If that's the case, why do Rikku and Paine not have the same outfits as Yuna? It might have something to do with memory interpretation IN THE USER... but then why would Yuna be more a match for Lenne than the other two? Because she's a summoner? o_O And anyway, if there's a memory interpretation thing, where did the spheres for Paine and Rikku COME from? Couldn't they theoretically MAKE their own spheres, and have Shinra somehow convert them?
* Since the system IS supposed to be Shinra's invention, how did it become so widespread and accepted? Why does every third person have a garment grid to spare???
* And finally, HOW THE HELL DO YOU BEAT THAT DAMNED GUNNER'S GAUNTLET!?!?!? ;_;
;_; I have bags under my eyes. I doubt it's from lack of sleep... maybe... I think I've been sleeping pretty well. Good thing I get to sleep in tomorrow. But I thought I had an eye infection earlier today, and now I'm paranoid that it somehow spread in the showers. Just what people need to see in box office-- a puffy eyed grouch, eh?

But that is not half as important as the USC stuff, let alone the FAFSA and CSS.
Worse, on the WDKY front, I'm starting to run dry of inspiration, and all I can think about is the sequel! I'm only on Part 8 of WDKY, and it's probably going to be around 36 chapters... WHY WHY WHY can't I stop thinking about CO7, which I probably won't start until Fall?! IF THAT! Yeesh. Inspiration is good, but no one ever said it picks good times.
Microsoft Word is also being a bitch... I started an activities summary last night, but now it won't open in word... or even WordPad. ;_; All my hard work, to waste? GEEZ!
Interesting events and thoughts of today:
* On my way from McAteer (I HAVEN'T been spelling it wrong!), some guy and his girlfriend almost got into a brawl on the back of the bus. Not with each other- but with this retarded (literally) guy who just WOULD NOT SHUT UP. I don't know why the guy encouraged him in the first place, saying weird shit, but... whatever. The freak got kicked off the bus, and yay for that, because he almost hit me with his goddamned cane.
* At work, I was by myself until 6. A homeless guy tried to scam me into thinking he'd given me a $10, when I knew for a fact he gave me a $5. He even asked me to call a manager down (and in such situations, they either would have escorted him out or given him the extra money, therefore shorting ME!), but when I actually did, he said "I wouldn't want to get you in trouble," and left. :P Hmph. Jerk.
* Another idiot at Guest Services claimed that *I* said we couldn't scan Entertainment Cards manually down at box; when Tony described the guy in question, I didn't recall anyone of that sort even COMING to box! Plus, the only person I'd used Entertainment cards with had had no problem with me, and wasn't wearing anything with an Eagle on it... :P
Guess what? I have 3 days off this week-- this whole weekend! So no Greeter or Usher stuff! Yatta ze! Yahtzee! :D YAAY! I get to watch Yu-Gi-Oh, sleep in, work on fics, clean my room, do the dishes, do my laundry... augh, I might get depressed if I keep thinking about chores. On the bright side, it gives me time to upload the TONNE of WDKY fanart I've scanned in. Now, just to touch it up... :DDDD

that0therguy's excuses for where Buffy and Co. were... Rome, apparently. Does Joss Whedon really think Buffy would do that? I mean come on, her home went down the hole, where the heck would she get the money to travel to Europe with, anyway? Let alone enroll Dawn in an Italian school. :P I like the RPers much better, though when Buffy and Faith make their reappearances on Angel (and you just know they will) they're going to have one sticky mess to explain. Still, unless Giles was making a really bad joke at the end of "Chosen," when he said there's a Hellmouth in Cleveland (which is what all the LJ-RPers are basing their stories off of, anyway)... yeah.
As for Cordy coming back, I'm wondering if it's a guest spot, or if everyone complained enough to get Charisma Carpenter back on the show. I hope it's the latter, even though I never was a fan of the Cordy/Angel romance hints. Still... the Spuffy people are getting to me. I keep seeing visions of Buffy returning to LA and socking Angel. ^^; I dunno, but when Joss let go of Cordy and Connor, he REALLY F*d up. REALLY. And I HATE HATE HATE Eve. Lindsey being back rocks, but EVE... GAWD SHE IS SUCH A SLUT! Harmony, meanwhile, kicks ass.

For the FFX2 queries
Date: 2004-01-29 08:20 am (UTC)Actually, the songstress dressphere is Lenne's sphere, containing Lenne's memories and stuff. I guess LeBlanc simply tweaked the dressphere to present Yuna's image along with the songstress dress. So yeah, that explains the fractured Lenne/Yuna memories too.
Since all the girls share the same Garment Grid, I assume that they don't have to hold the necessary sphere all the time to maintain a dress. The individual dresses are a manifestation of their individualities; I think that explanation's in the game.
All the dresspheres are just reconverted normal spheres that are scattered throughout Spira (hence the sphere hunting), and yes, the girls could theoretically make new spheres and convert those for even more dresspheres.
Only the Gullwings have Garment Grids and dresspheres. The one LeBlanc had was stolen from Yuna.
The way to beat the Gunner's Gauntlet is to keep moving forward. Early on, you can't stop for anything, so just shoot whatever's there and keep moving. Jamming on the circle button helps too because there's no reload time if you shoot one enemy six or less times, then aim at a second enemy. Once you rack up the score and more time, you can move around the area between the last water fall and the last enemy for more points, but keep at least 45 seconds to reach the finish. I think my current score is over 3300.

But she's double-crossing them, obviously, sleeping with Lindsey and all. Oh, and Lindsey has convinced Spike to do Angel's old vigilante job, and Spike thinks Lindsey is Doyle. I can't wait to see Angel's reaction (let alone Cordy's) to THAT! :DDD
