azuriteHey all! ^_^ I am finally unbusy after 2 days of running around like a feathered fowl with its head cut off and the mysteriously unscientific ability of being able to do so.
Yesterday I went to the Winter Concert with Steph and Rochelle; we met up with Eva and Tobey at Wash and happened to run into Marcella there as well. The concert was surprisingly long, and pretty good-- Chorale, the beginning and intermediate choirs, was HUGE, and pretty damn good, too. Meanwhile, First Ladies, which I was in last year, shrank even more, and sucks even harder. But Chamber was fantastic.
They sang this hilarious song called "The 12 Days AFTER Christmas." It's hilarious and made the whole audience laugh; go see for yourself. By the way, at the concert, the line -well, actually I kept one of the dancing ladies- was replaced by -Well, I actually kept one of the drummers-, and it was spoken by Jason Chou (Not sure if I spelled his name right). Given that this IS San Francisco, Wash has one of the most openly GBQLT (I'm SURE I got that acronym wrong) communities of all SF schools... plus the Choir director Mr. Ulrich is gay... ^^;; Yeah, shoulda expected that one. Matter of fact, I wonder about Jason...
Anyway. I saw Jonathan before the concert, but I was on the phone with Sung (who was supposed to come, but ditched us for LotR!!) and didn't get to say much. Plus, he and his brother didn't stick around post-concert (you would have thought they would have had to, given both of them play) *sigh* I was too nervous and probably missed what brief chance I had to say "Hi, great job!" anyway. :P Feh.
Tobey, Eva, Roro, Steph and I went to Mel's afterwards; we talked about absolutely everything, including high school crushes, the definition "thereof," and why my hardest crushes tend to be, as Roro put it, "violent." o_O Man, the embarassing moments I have. It might not have been the "traditional" high school life, but... haha... sure it was memorable...
Got my new schedule today-- I work 10-6 on Christmas Day, but I'm off Christmas Eve! Go figure! But I didn't get 2 days off, and, after all the advance notice and explaning I gave to Andrew, he still scheduled me for 10-6 on the day of the reunion dinner. And I left at 3 today, since I was feeling sick and it was slow, so I didn't get to talk to him OR pick up my pay stub. And everyone felt sick, so no shopping spree, either. Gotta get that X-mas shopping done though. Maybe tomorrow when Joe and I are trollin' for the PS2! ^_^
Gotta make a work log on Excel; my notebook is just too disorganized. Speaking of which, I'm enlisting people to help me clean my room. I think Rochelle might help me out (she stayed over last night and apparently did a little work while I was gone...) and so might Joe... of course, never on the same day at the same time, because her feelings against him are stronger than I thought, and frankly I'm not one to purposefully cause any sort of explosion...
The scenes I have for my "gift fic" and WDKY8 are getting more descriptive; my new Pucca journal is scented and glittering with ideas! Tru Calling serves as a sort of inspiration, too! I've gotta make a layout for Souten though; I'm leaning towards the theme "winter blossom." ^_^ I better get cracking!
