Man was I hungry tonight. Then again, I guess I never do eat much... really. Mom made pasta, but I finished my bowl in about 5 minutes, then had a bushel (or whatever you call it) of grapes... and while I was playing ANOTHER STORY (the SM RPG) and looking up codes, I had the last of the grapes, some milk, crackers, and cheese. And now I have a stomachache while I search for decent non-yaoi Yu-gi-oh fics. So far no luck-- on either end. :P And Pepto does NOT taste good.

Speaking of the SMRPG, can anyone explain to me just how you're supposed to get to all the treasure chests you see in the inns? What's the point of putting them there if you can't access them at one time or another? There's no secret door or special thing to say... and when I disable layers, it takes the treasure chests with them! ;_; I want my treasure, dagnabbit! I quit playing though, because even after toggling and eventually deleting the Level 99 codes, I still keep dying (as Sailor Mercury). So, for all future SMRPG players, note-- always use that code when in a GROUP so you can be Level 99 by the 2nd chapter of the story. ^^; I neglected to load my cheats, and that is why... I screwed myself over and have to think of another way to powerdown Mercury. :P

MediaMiner could be a lot better than it is. There's a reason why very few of my 47 posted fics are not on MMorg-- it's not that nice to use. I like FFnet's simplicity of use... and while I appreciate MMorg for letting artists keep putting NC17 stuff up (forum for expression and all that) I do wish they had more sorting options for fanfiction-- for summaries, instead of just author names and titles. Even when I searched for the EXACT title of a fic, I came up with 2 pages of results, and the fic wasn't on ANY of them! wtf!?!?! It'd be nice if they had a character sorter too-- FFnet does that with major categories, as does ASMR. :P Anyone else MediaMine here? How should the site improve?

Oh yeah... my stupid alarm didn't go off early like I wanted it to today (er, yesterday) so I ended up waking up when Joe texted me (stupid message, too! Congratulations on your acceptance into SFSU? I WISH! It's not like I could even find out today ANYWAY!) after 12:00. I woke up fully after a few more minutes, then quickly got dressed and grabbed a brief breakfast before heading out. As usual, the 28 took forever to come, and then the bus was horrendously crowded with rude people and stupid teens... >_>; Such a hypocrite, aren't I? I guess some people thought *I* was a rude teen... Anyway, so I caught the K just on time, got off at CCSF and got my transcript (;_; my poor $20!) and then took the 29 to SFSU. Amazingly, all I did at SFSU was drop off the transcript. No arguments, no bitchiness, no anything. The lady even SMILED, said it would get processed through the system, and my record looked good, so why shouldn't I get in? Or wa sshe getting my hopes up for nothing again? After all, the letters and packets were supposed to go out today, I was wondering if I was cutting it close for just missing some paperwork (and they were the ones that told me THEY would notify ME if I was missing anything!) ... Anyway, now it's all about the waiting game.

Amazingly, all that -- waiting for the bus, riding on the bus, walking to the K stop, the K ride, walking to Conlan Hall, waiting for my transcript, walking BACK to the bus stop, getting on the 29, and then walking through SFSU and back from the transcript office... even the bus ride HOME-- all done in a mere hour and a half! I came home and slept until 6:45. :) Then I watched "Smallville" and "Angel" season premieres (WHEE! SPIKE IS BACK! W00T!) ... pretty good stuff, but ya'll know "Alias" owns. Turns out the Rambaldi Device was pretty simple... and they really ARE two years in the future... still, quite a confusin', yet-ass kicking season this shall be. So many DVDs I want to collect... the ALIAS DVDs are just some of them! :D~~

Er... yay?

Back to the fanficcing... You know what's really sad? I used to think sites and MLs that read things prior to accepting or posting them were being too harsh-- after all, where do beginners get their shot in the spotlight? But honestly, so many people out there are a) stupid; b) bad writers c) lacking in an understanding of either their choice fandom or Englsih grammar; d) all of the above, or some combination thereof. I mean yeesh, people complained when FFnet took NC17 off, but they had good reason. I probably will never write a lemon/hentai/ecchi, but I bet if I did, I could do a damn better job of it than a lot of other people out there. I mean geez, when characters are suddenly VERY OOC, swearing left and right... not to mention all sorts of bad writing devices. Even in porn, even in PLAYBOY, you don't see some of the stuff that perpetuates bad lemon fics.

I mean seriously, do these people WANT to write badly? And the scary thing is, people LIKE that kind of thing? Even if it's close to -excuse my 'French'- shit? Don't get me started on the canon thing again, either, that just makes an already bad fic into something worse. And then these idiots KNOW their writing sucks, so they label their fics with 'flame retardent' warnings. I happen to LIKE it when I see fics that say 'all comments, flames and otherwise, welcome.' I've been on the recieving end of flames, and likewise, of high praise. I've dished out some pretty harsh commentary too, but unless someone downright PLAGIARIZED, I've never flamed anyone. People have just taken it the wrong way. And so I've adopted a policy of "If you can't find anything nice about it, RUN AWAY, QUICKLY!" and that leads to my endless search for the legendary Good Fanfiction. It's my Holy Grail, I swear.

Someday, somewhere...

You know what's sad? When someone attempts to do what has the potential of being a good crossover, but dies in the first sentence. For example, spelling "Dana Scully" as "Dana Skully." *whimper* I feel so badly for these fics! They are like... greyhounds with potential, potential to be high-class racing dogs (or in the fic world, renowned! good! read! liked!) but no, they get treated like Lahza Ahpsos. LAP DOGS! ;_; NOT FAIR! It's fic injustices like me that make me want to write those fics but BETTER (imho) and then just see what happens, and how people react. It's not plagiarizing if it's just a plot idea that went wrong... >_> Whatever, I'd best stick to my own devices.

*cracks up*

After a few seconds, Kaiba returned the pictures to their envelope and addressed Mulder. "How much will it cost me to get these, and the negatives?"

"Validate the parking."

Okay, that might have redeemed the spelling error.

:P Feh, said author spelled Maximillion as 'Maximilen' ... GRRR!

AUGH! MY SEARCH IS BEGINNING TO LOOK FUTILE! ;_;
