My Mom Thinks I'm A Player
Feb. 4th, 2003 03:08 pmDid I neglect to mention that earlier? Ehehe, yeah. I was in the process of planning to meet Gene tomorrow outside J-town afterschool when mom (predictably) woke up at 1:10 in the morning to tell me to a) get my ass to bed and b) get the dishes done. ^_^ She said "But I thought his name was Tai...something or other." Guilt overwhelms me and I say, "No Mom, that's someone else, someone I wasn't feeling up to meeting just yet." Truth. Besides, Rochelle offered to call Taisuke for me and clear things up, in the hopes that maybe he'll talk to me online again. >_< I don't want to talk to people on the phone. I don't know why, but I hate the phone. No, I take it back, I do know why. I've heard too many times asbout relatives dying through the phone. Somehow it's less painful when the person telling you is in front of your face. It makes them seem less insensitive and brutish.

You think you're deep, tortured and misunderstood.
You're not, you're just incoherent and a bit
silly. Now you know.

I went to that math tutorial thing today, switched my day to Thursdays at 2:30... which doesn't change much, considering that both the math tutorials and the media academy are on Tuesday and Thursday. It just means I'll be even more busy on Thursdays, especially if FX is on Thursdays again. Eh, better than Fridays, I suppose, considering that I love RTA nowadays. I'm glad though-- that I'm being proactive.
The one thing that's gotten me down today is that Ms. Jacobs, the head of the GATE and AP departments here at Wash told me today that she recieved a list of people who are GATE (Gifted and Talented Education, in case you didn't know... and I've been one of those students since 3rd grade) and are underperforming on their STAR tests. Well, last year's anyway. Underperforming is getting under the 50th percentile in Math or English. I knew off the bat I'd gotten that low score in Math, since English is my strong suit, and I *did* get some scholarship money from the governor, just not as much as last time. Apparently though, my pathetic score (I must have forgotten it, so painful is the memory) shocked even her-- a 20 in Math. -.- Gah. I'm repeating math, taking tutorial courses, and if I ever get around to going to college, I bet I'll STILL be in remedial math. Lord save me.
I'm updating Animanga Collision as we speak. Yay me.
