Perpetual Motion Devices Run On Batteries
Aug. 15th, 2003 11:13 pmSubject has nothing to do with the entry, aside from the fact that I just mentioned it here. Okay, well, I didn't go to RTA. I could have, though, because Mom actually OFFERED to give me money. But I was just feeling so ick, I'm not at all upset I missed out. Besides, it doesn't seem like there were a lot of people there, as per what Joe told me... at least PsyJoe and Aaron, but that's it that I heard.
So I sat at home sleeping-- Jonathan didn't come over, as I called him a half hour before he was expected to tell him I felt sick. What did he say? "Yeah, yeah, yeah." Not like, dismissive or anything, just like... non-conversational. It's bordering on annoying, and I've only spoken to him all of three times in the past two and a half weeks. So figure it like this, if he thinks we're in any kind of a relationship, he's sorely mistaken. The least the guy could do is ask me how I'm doing, if I'm okay, and he hopes I get better. This is the tradeoff for having guys that don't compare you to all their exes; the younger ones tend to be immature. In a funny twist of fate, I've noted as a trend (with the guys I've been with... well, some of them, anyway) that guys, post-virginity, tend to become more immature, while girls seem to get MORE mature. Of course, as with every rule, there are exceptions... And besides, that's just my observations.
Anyway, so I woke up a while later, Mom was planning on going out for a drink with her friends and then going to Gary's (where she is now, and will presumably spend the night)... so I watched T2 again, this time with all the Interactive Features. So the catch is this-- you can watch the Special Edition (Widescreen) with all the cut-out scenes left in, seamlessly... and likewise, you can watch the SE with features added in-- subtitles and such talking about the scenes, and special "exit featurettes" you can skip to by pressing Enter on the remote. I did this a bunch during the movie (which, with the featurettes, was about 3 hours long) and ended up getting screwed up time-wise, having to restart the DVD player/the movie a few times. But it was worth it, cuz I got a bunch of cool info! =D
Sad thing is I don't have a working DVD-ROM to play with all those featurettes, like this studio that lets you turn yourself into a Terminator! COOOOOOOOL! ;_; I need to get my compie fixed.
Anyway, currently making muffins (something I had in mind for about a week). Thankfully, my headache has subsided to mere aches-- the usual stuff. Not brain-tumory like yesterday and such. Feeling much better. I guess cooking and stuff relaxes me. (Un)fortunately, I also got inspired for more HYD-ficness, which will undoubtedly piss off my expectant Inuyasha readers, or even the Star Ocean ones. I still get reviews once or twice a week, begging me to update because either "Dream a Dream" or "Perfect World" is good. I love the compliments, but making that fandom switch is hard! ;_; Besides, Rochelle still has my Inuyasha episodes!!
Okay, so the HYD ideas are stashed HERE:
(1) Makino Tsukushi is walking home late from her part-time job one night when she witnesses a strange anomaly-- lightning coalescing and then exploding a part of the street into a crater. In the center of this is a collapsed woman who seems strangely familiar to Tsukushi... she's closest (ironically) to Domoyouji's mansion, and they take the woman in-- who wakes up suddenly and pulls a gun on Makino. She seems to recognize the younger girl-- and when Domoyouji walks in, she drops the firearm altogether. Who is she? Why... Makino's future self!
Weirdess factor: 10 -- sci-fi and HYD don't seem to mix, but I want to try it. Watching too much Terminator makes me want to empower Makino even more-- to the point of having a "warrior" styled version of herself from the future. She's lost everything, but in a vain attempt to use one of her own scientific creations, she hopes to save it all again...
(2) How The Other Half Lives - One day, Tsukushi is so sick of how rich and proper the F4 act that she bets that all four of them can't stand a week in her shoes. So she ends up shacking up with ALL of them, while rumors spread and the sparks fly! They go everywhere and do so much that they start to see Makino's side of things... but, the end is left (har har) open-ended, as THEY bet Makino couldn't survive a week in THEIR shoes! How will Makino react to becoming a veritable princess!?
Did I already mention that fic I came up with last week, when working on my room-- the one about Makino finding an ad about a special part-time volunteer job that could pay off big-- but would mean taking big risks and giving her all? @_@ Sounds mysterious, but I actually have a lot of that planned out...
Methinks I really have to get around to making an HYD page and a fic ideas page as well... Oi...
Hmm, muffin batter is yummy, and the muffins themselves shall be done in 12 minutes! 6 plain and 6 cinnamon-raisin! YUMM!
Geez, I just got a review for my nearly-dead IY fic "A Christmas To Remember." Well, we are getting close to the holidays, but I seriously have to focus on so many other fics... @_@ *frustrated*
Well, assuming it doesn't stress me out, I guess I know what I'll be working on them...
