azuriteOkay, forgive me here, I have to write my ideas down here for easy retrieval... I would put them in my ideas page, but there's a lot of searching, fixing up, and backing up to do to that effect. Ignore this if you're not interested in Tokyopop's new manga (even though it's from 1998) "Wild Act," or Hana Yori Dango.
WILD ACT - She's smart, sexy, and stylish-- and 15-year-old Yuniko Sakuraba is a thief after anything belonging to the late great actor Akira Nanae. He's sexy, popular, and rich-- the 17-year-old Rye Eba. He happens to have a striking resemblance to resemblance to Nanae, but he can't stand being compared to him. When Yuniko aims to get the late actor's "Best Actor" award from Eba, things go haywire and they end up in a tangled relationship! After all, she's a member of the UAT, the same theater company her famous mother was in! He's a much more famous actor though, and since Yuniko's mother is hospitalized, and has been for as long as Yuniko can remember, she's being cared for by the company makeup and costume head, Sanae. Sanae is a "girl at heart, but a guy in body," chastising Yuniko for her brashness, but warns her not to fall in love with an actor, for he's seen the unfortunate results of such a relationship.
His curiousity piqued by Yuniko, Ryu helps Yuniko get ahold of another Nanae item, and wonders why she's after them. Yuniko can't seem to give him a straight answer; she doesn't really know why she loves Nanae, she just does. She likes both Nanae AND Eba's acting, but when it comes to romance, which one is really the man of her dreams? The actor-thief and the thief-actor join forces in an unusual way; he wants to discover what she's really after and why, and she wants to know the same thing of him! But while Yuniko doesn't consider herself that much of an actor, Ryu KNOWS he is, and the both of them worry about which one of them is fooling the other-- if either of them really are! What will Ryu's personal investigation reap, and will Yuniko heed Sanae's warning-- or will she fall in love with Ryu after all?
HANA YORI DANGO - "If there's one thing I believe in, always, it's that money can't buy happiness. I should know. All my life, I've been searching for some kind of happiness, but it's always fleeting. And you can't always say when or where you'll be when you find it, when you feel that sort of thing, but one thing's for sure-- if it were something you could capture and sell prepackaged, we'd all be a very artificial people..."
Tsukushi doesn't let anything get her down. Not anymore. She was born a very sick child, thanks to the drinking and smoking habits of her mother. As a result, she had heart problems shortly after she was born premature. Deemed unfit to be a mother, Tsukushi was put up for adoption, and finally adopted by the Makino family. She remained unaware of her true family or her health condition until later, when the Makinos discovered she had a weak heart. For most of her life, she's had to take medicine to regulate her blood pressure and her heartbeat... but come high school, stress is all she gets, and her meds start to work less and less. When she finally stands up to the F4, she takes charge of her life-- vowing to conquer anything in her path, be it sickness inside, or cruelty outside.
She gains the affections of the egocentic Tsukasa Doumyoji. At first, Tsukushi considers his attention quite unwanted, and it isn't until after a series of odd events that Tsukushi starts to find something in him. Now the whole Eitoku Gakuen private school has her under their microscope, and when she falls victim to a sudden heart attack, everything changes. She doesn't know who she is anymore, or how long she'll survive...
*hee hee* And I figured out how to download stuff from IRC! There's around 50 songs on each of the SOEX OSTs, but I have a few of the tracks already, so I shouldn't need all of them. The only thing that pisses me off is the "Closing Idle Connection in 30 seconds" thing. Is there any way to make that so I have more time!?!?
*sigh* And me without enough oatmeal to make cookies.
