Good ROMs are hard to come by

azuriteStill looking for the Star Ocean 1 ROM. No luck so far, even on KaZaA. =P Found translation patches, SNES Tool, various emulators-- don't NEED those. Want the damned *.smc file! Can anyone help me out! It's agonizing, reading all about the game and then not being able to PLAY it! It sounds so fun! So many places with "a huge assortment of ROMs and warez" have been dead ends-- including the popular PeddlersRealm.com. -.- Give me something solid here, please!
Okay, so here's what I've gotten from the game thus far, and it shall help me out partially in my continuing with "Perfect World."
* The main characters (Ratix, Milly, Dorn) are Fellpool! Just like Leon-- almost. Leon has those fuzzy ear things, while these guys have slightly pointy-ears and a tail. There's another character, Perisie, who is a "Lesser Fellpool," and for all intents and purposes, is a cat girl. She looks more like Leon. Dorn reminds me of Noel, because his eyes seem perpetually closed. But he's HUGE... and he gets turned to stone for the remainder of the game, after the intro.
* Ronixis J. Kenny and Iria Silvestoli (Silvestory) are Claude's parents-- and BOY do they look different in the game than they do in the SO2 intro! Well, we never see Iria in SO2, but she's pretty. Reminds me of Opera! Funny thing is, she was the one that reminded Ronixis at the beginning of SO1 about Federation law... though he's the one that broke it! And here we get this impression of him in SOEX and SO2 that Ronixis is (and apparently is so in the SO1 game as well) a stick-in-the-mud.
* There's another race, called the Highlander (*cough*) that has members like Ashlay Barnbelt, Fear Mell, and Cius Warren as members. Ashaly isn't a girl like I originally thought, but this HUGE guy that reminds me of that dude from Tekken. Fear Mell looks like Chisato.
* Then there's this guy who must have been the inspiration for Dias. Joshua Jerand is a Featherfolk-- or an angel, for lack of a better word. Something "terrible" happened to his family, so now he's pretty reclusive. Oh, and the kicker? Long, green hair. >) He's a Mage though, just like several other GUYS in the party (Ronixis included!) and has spells that are a combination between Rena's and Leon's, it seems.
* Marvel Frozen is of an unknown race, but she's given the class "Enchantress." She just screams Celine though.
* Tinek Arukena looks like Ranma, but with glasses. He's a Lycanthrope... or, to be blunt, a werewolf. Yeah, in battle, he changes from a run-of-the-mill nerd-type to a rippin' Sabrewulf predecessor! o_O
* Ratix, Ashlay, and Cius all know "Twin Slash," while Ratix also knows "Chaos Sword."
* Killer Moves are called "Ougis." Hehe.
* Puffy wasn't the only one that appeared in SO1! So did Raddler the Traveler, the guy that gives you the Funny Slayer in Hilton if you point him in the right direction to where he wants to go!
* GUYS: Ashlay Barnbelt (HL), Ratix Farrence (FP), Ronixis J. Kenny (HM), Cius Warren (HL), Dorn Marto (FP), Joshua Jerand (FF), Tinek Arukena (LY)
* GIRLS: Fear Mell (HL), Marvel Frozen (??), Perisie (LFP), Iria Silvestoli (HM), Milly Kiliet (FP)
where HL = Highlander; (L)FP = (Lesser) Fellpool; HM = Human; FF= Featherfolk; LY = Lycanthrope.
* The classes are as follows: Fighters, Mages, Warriors, and Healers. Perisie is in a class of her own (of course!) and is a 'Catfighter.' She pretty much provides comic relief during the battles with her cute-ness.
* FIGHTERS: Ashlay, Ratix, Cius, Dorn, Fear,
* WARRIORS: Iria, Tinek
* MAGES: Joshua, Ronixis, and technically Marvel, though she's an "Enchantress."
* HEALERS: Milly
* There's a place where Milly and Ratix hope to find a cure for their stone friend, Dorn. It is called Mt. Metox. Familiar, much? It's the same name of the special, rare medicine that was supposed to cute the little girl (her name started with an E...?) in Herlie.

I wanna go play SO2 now, and I'm really tempted to start up a brand new file and do a Rena scenario-- the last time I did one, we got stuck in the Field of Love, because I didn't have the Eternal Sphere. I'm not sure if I deleted that save or not, since it had some good voice clips... but I know I have a lot of files that seem to be Claude, but going nowhere. o_O I guess it's time to do a memory card sweep!
Oh, my god. I love Kusoyaro studios! They rule! They own! They rock! Just finished watching a Fushigi Yuugi vid that I quite happily found in my Downloaded Files folder-- it's what I like about KaZaA Lite-- no damn spyware, doesn't bother me, doesn't slow me down all that much, I can do my business for 8 hours on the 'Net and then when I get offline, find a crapload of new MP3s and videos waiting for me! =D This one was to Dido's "Don't Think of Me," which, along with many of other Dido tracks, I was going to use in a Ranma fanfic. Yeesh, so many fandoms I need to get back too-- I've gotten so involved with Inuyasha! o_O Anyway, the vid was fantastic-- even if it was Yui-centric. I never did like Yui, because she was so damn gullible and had no real reason to love Tamahome, other than the fact that SHE was jealous of Miaka (for once). But I guess she's one of the first real anti-thesis characters to what Watase-sensei normally spits out-- a weak, crybaby, heroine that goes through a LOT of crap to become someone powerful and worth respecting. So in her own right, Yui's pretty cool. =P
I hope Rochelle gives me back my CDs, soon. I wanna catch up on all the Inuyasha quirks I've missed. I'm missing episodes 74+ (up to 110 by now, I think). Anyone care to help me out-- maybe for a Christmas present? ^^;;
Went to all the trouble of downloading the "latest" version of Winamp (I had the beta version, I wasn't sure if the newest had been released) ... still won't play this one WMA I have, In the End. o_O WHY!? Maybe I'll rename it. Nope, still no luck. It plays in Windows Media Player-- and it USED to play in Winamp. Geez. Trying to download the MP3 version now. *sigh* Gee, I stay up too late sometimes. And the headphones make my head hurt. =P
