Oh, the fansanity

So, I decided to go on a fanlisting spree, joining a whole bunch in a row. Turns out that a lot more that I'd LIKE to join don't exist and aren't even on the Someday-to-be-Approved list. So, ballsy girl that I am, I think I'll make them. Turns out all fanlistings are, for the most part, inherently the same, so all I'd have to do is design a few layouts, break them into header.inc and footer.incs, and then customize the other pages with a bit of original content.
As it stands, my owned FLs are:
* Blue Eyes and Apricots - the Seto Kaiba x Anzu Mazaki fanlisting (my baby, my precious, my first, my biggest)
* Ace of Hearts - the Aino Minako/Sailor V/Sailor Venus x Kaitou Ace/Saijou Ace/Danburite fanlisting (turns out the Kaitou Ace fanlisting has the same name, but... honestly? I don't want to change it! After all, Ace is just Ace, but involve Sailor Venus, soldier of love and beauty, and the "hearts" makes sense! And besides, even if I *did* change the name, what would it change to?)
* The Firefly Room - the Secret Society Girl: An Ivy League Novel fanlisting (needs a redesign, which is coming soon, and I'm thinking of expanding it into either the FL for the entire series, or opening up other FLs for the rest of the books in the series AND the series itself. I wonder if I'm allowed to hog a fandom's FLs like that? I'll have to ask the TFL people)
AAAAND I'm thinking about creating FLs for:
* The Lord Meren Series by Lynda S. Robinson - read them, loved them. And honestly, it's an awesome series, combining drama, mystery, court intrigue, and ancient history! Why not?
* The Lakeshore Chronicles by Susan Wiggs - more of a silly idea than anything else, but I do love Susan Wiggs' writing, and it's this series that turned me onto her stuff. I like this series a lot more than some of her other series, and more than some of her individual novels, too. But I like her as an author in general, so it's also possible to do an FL just about her.
* The Little Sister Series by Kara Dalkey - The first book was pretty pivotal for me when I was younger, and I still consider it one of my favorite book series. Before I knew it was wrong and stupid, I was going to write a Sailor Moon fic "inspired" by this, because it was that important/moving to me.
* Banana Yoshimoto - There are FLs for two of her books, "Goodbye Tsugumi" and "Kitchen," both of which I like (and will probably join), but I like everything she writes. And since no one's done it....
* Deirdre Corey's "Friends 4-Ever" series. Sure, I read "Babysitters Club" and all the various "Sweet Valley" (including the Unicorn Club) books, but none of those series got me as hooked as the cute pen-pal series, "Friends 4-Ever." I might not have the books anymore, but I remember loving them. It'd be fun to revisit my childhood with a nostalgic fanlisting!
Fanlistings are a tricky thing. See, you (or I, or anyone else) can be a fan of:
* A series (multiple titles, e.g. "Final Fantasy," "Star Ocean," "Secret Society Girl," etc. Anything encompassing more than one title)
* An author/writer/manga-ka
* A particular title (of a book/video game/anime/manga/whatever)
* A character
* A pairing
And probably lots more. But I mean, I can like just ONE thing, and it'll expand into many:
* Star Ocean
* Tri-Ace or Square-Enix or Matsumi Ando or whomever
* Star Ocean: The Second Story or Star Ocean: EX
* Rena Lanford
* Rena Lanford x Claude C. Kenny
So when you look at my collective and see all those joined fanlistings, it's kind of obvious how they've proliferated... I'm never just a fan of one thing, and the reason why there aren't MORE is likely because I haven't found the FLs yet or because they don't exist (which is awful, because I'd be tempted to do those fanlistings, too).
...Hmm, any suggestions for FLs for me to join? Why don't you join some of mine? Or some of the ones I'm in! Got an FL? Let's affiliate!
