I think I watched too much TV last night
Sep. 3rd, 2008 01:27 pmI've been having weird dreams the past few nights. Not "weird" like really disturbing weird, just... an odd conglomeration of things. I wake up and wonder what the heck is going on in my brain at night. A few nights ago, I had a dream where all my teeth crumbled/fell out of my mouth. I've had that dream before, and like to think of it as a mental warning to take better care of my teeth. I had another dream last night... er, yesterday morning, and I think it was another recurring or slightly-weird dream, but now I can't remember it. Always write down your dreams as soon as you wake up!
This one, like I said, was a weird conglomeration of dreams. I stayed up late last night watching TV-- a dub of Initial D, a subtitled episode of Kyo Kara Maoh (never liked that series), CSI, Star Trek: Voyager, and then DS9.
I dreamed that there was some sort of anime convention on DS9, and it was PACKED. As if cosplayers aren't weird enough, imagine alien cosplayers and then the usual business of a deep space station. I remember getting out of an elevator (er, turbolift) and suddenly spotting David Duchovny (I have no idea why he appeared) and me suddenly getting frozen to the spot and tomato-red in the face. Either Bashir from DS9 or Warrick from CSI saw me, and they started chuckling upon seeing my reaction, which I didn't shake myself out of until Duchovny had walked away and was out of sight.
I remember getting even more flustered --mad at myself and mad at whichever guy was chuckling at me-- and I started talking to him, asking him why he was laughing at me or something like that. But I don't exactly remember what he said-- though I imagine it probably just got me more angry with my goofy reactions.
There was DEFINITELY more to the dream, but alas... even though I woke up "on my own time" today and not to an annoying alarm or other such circumstances, the dream's fading fast. My mind's already sharpening, whirling, telling me about all the things I have to do and how late in the day it already is... but for some reason, no matter how weird the dream, it made me happy. Don't know why. But I'm smiling! It's never wrong to start a day with a smile. :)

Date: 2008-09-03 11:34 pm (UTC)That whole scene in "Folgen Sie Ihrem Traum" where Seto and Téa were searching that old building with the secret room and central stairwell happened almost exactly like that in a dream I had, which also had the premise of the entire fic (a dance troupe with a dark secret) ^^
