Partners in boredom:
Choose five series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.
1. Yu-Gi-Oh
2. Sailor Moon
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
4. Cinderella
5. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
1. Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?
Yu-Gi-Oh, currently, because it just seems to be a fountain of never-ending ideas. Sailor Moon because it was first anime love, and got me into this whole business in the first place. :P
2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Kuriboh and Gus-Gus! Haha... it would be fluffy goodness. I'm betting Kuriboh would get irritated with Gus before Gus could feel the same about Kuriboh.
3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3's plot line?
I'd ditch the entire Riley arc. No offense to the actor, but it was all lame, and frankly, they didn't have half the chemistry of Buffy and Angel (or even Buffy and Spike, which I don't really like AT ALL). In addition, the final boss battle (haha, sounds like a video game) was just... lame. The whole "Adam" thing? *shudder* Lame rendition of Frankenstein.
4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Ah, Usagi (Sailor Moon). Something tells me even transformed, she wouldn't be able to save herself in time, whileas a Power Ranger could probably summon a Zord or something. :D
5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?
Horrible like bad, or horrible like tough-to-deal with? I think the whole RPG World arc was rather lame, what with the 5-God Dragon and everything, even though it set the stage for Noa's Virtual World, which is chock full of plotbunny-goodness. As for just lain tough-to-deal with, definitely the final season. I always cry when watching it. AND IT'S YU-GI-OH! WTF!?
6. Which is your least favorite character of 2?
Neptune. I never really liked her-- she didn't show the agony or passion that Uranus did, was a show-off and a narcissistic bitch a lot... while I understand how important she is to Uranus, I don't feel that, compared to the other characters, she got as much development. If she weren't around, I think Uranus might have sided with the Inners, or at least heard them out a bit more. Neptune was pretty manipulative, in my mind. She's beautiful, though.
7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
Which antagonist? BtVS had so many... but for the sake of things, let's say it was The Master. That would be... hideously ugly, and quite scary. I'd feel horrible for Yami and probably be unable to watch. I might stare in horror for a few moments with Buffy before she staked him (him being The Master, of course).
8. What song reminds you of 5?
The theme song, of course. "Mighty Morphin' Power Raaaangeeeeeerz!"
9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?
1, probably (Yu-Gi-Oh), though 5 (MMPR) is probably a close second, if not a tie. Like I said before, ideas and such are almost a constant with me and Yu-Gi-Oh, but the general plot and concept of MMPR was even MORE basic than YGO.
10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
Blonde hair, blue eyes, yes. I don't think Cinderella's the least bit klutzy, though, and in the many incarnations of that tale, she's usually a bit more ingenious than Usagi. Magical-power-wise, though, Sailor Moon trumps Cindy any day of the week.
