Anyone know how to make a tiling background image/texture using Photoshop's nifty noise gradients?

For what I mean, go into your gradient tool and open a gradient you like in the Gradient Editor (double click on the gradient in the toolbar). On Gradient Type, click on "Noise," and have the number be set from 50-90%.

It produces some very nice color combinations, especially if you randomize them. But how do you preserve the line pattern in some form or fashion WITHOUT using the Pattern Maker, which seems to destroy it? I tried to use Filter/Distort/Shear, and I think Offset could be used in some way, but I'm not sure how.

Ohh lamesauce! I was experimenting with my settings to see what the whole "content filtering" was about. I didn't see an immediate effect, so I guess it's only what other users see when they look at my journal. I set it to the moderate level, since I figured SOME of my entries are "adult," but... it's been set to open for so long, I think I'll change it back.
