you are darkviolet
#9400D3

Your dominant hues are blue and magenta. You're the one who goes to all the parties but doesn't quite fit in at every one... you know what you want, but are afraid of what the world might think of it. You're a little different and that's okay with them, and if you're smart it's okay with you too.

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

Speaking of art, I recently finished and emailed my entry for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (that's one of the honor societies I'm an officer of, btw) for their 2007 holiday card. I started out with one idea and completely threw it out, because it looked a bit unrealistic (let's just say Photoshopping tree branches that look realistic is harder than it sounds) and then decided that a non-secular holiday card would most likely involve the NSCS colors (scarlet & gold) and blue & white, traditional winter colors (since silver doesn't really "show" on a screen without lots of special effects). So I made this thing with two cute snow people. It's... really cutesy, not sophisticated like I was originally going for, but I really slaved over it. I hope it gets received well, even if it doesn't win.

Also, I changed my layout... back to Flexible Squares, but this time I'm using a custom Halloween one. I'll probably change it after Halloween, since I'm getting into the holiday (read: winter holiday) mood already. I'm glad LJ's got so many styles, now!

Protector of truth.

Slayer of darkness.

Loooooong.

Longcat may seem like just a regular lengthy cat, but he is, in fact, looong. For proof, observe the longpic.

It is prophesized that Longcat and his archnemesis Tacgnol will battle for supremacy on Caturday. The outcome will change the face of the world, and indeed the very fabric of lolcatdom, forever.

Yayz, OkCupid and Facebook are finally linked up! A way to combine my obsessions! Hurrah for streamlining!

And finally, I'm still frustrated with [livejournal.com profile] 30kisses #11: gardenia "Girls' Club." I swear that I started writing SOME of it SOMEWHERE, because I remember things that weren't detailed in the planner file/chat with Mamono. But searches of my whole computer for key words like "girls club," and "gardenia" have revealed NOTHING. I distinctly remember WHY I chose gardenia, and I'm positive that I wrote that in, so theoretically, a Spotlight search would be able to find the file in question... but who knows? I might have:

a) written it on another computer (but if that was the case, it would either be on my Kysra flash drive, my external HD, or in my email; I transferred EVERYTHING that was transferable from Grandpa's Dell, and everything on the old Mac got transfered to this one; I do have one flash drive that is mysteriously not being read by the Mac, so I'll check it on the PC downstairs just for S&G...)

b) written it by hand (highly unlikely, considering the detail I'm remembering, and I hardly ever write things like this down by hand unless I don't have access to a computer... and if that IS the case, which of my many notebooks would I even start to look in? I really ought to start labeling them by year.)

c) posted it... somewhere... (but I already found [livejournal.com profile] the_sweet entries that were marked as private, and if I marked it or a teaser of it as Friend's Only, someone would have been kind enough to have pointed it out to me right...? Hey, if this is the case and you remember me doing this, PLEASE HELP! Anyway, I doubt I would have just posted a teaser to [livejournal.com profile] 30kisses, and I've never marked anything as Private for that comm, anyway. The only other possibility is [livejournal.com profile] azurite, but there's nothing there besides icons. It's also not up at Dragonfayth or FFnet (and if it was, I should have a hard copy of the file I uploaded, but I don't!)

d) I'm losing my mind. Comes with being creative, I guess.

- A brief introduction of the reunion, why Kaiba's there, and who he notices is missing
-A scene vaguely reminiscent of "Keep," when Kaiba confronts Yugi about what he mentions "in not so many words" at the restaurant
- Kaiba going to the neighborhood where the hostess club, "Secret [Garden?]" is, thinking that it's a very ordinary looking place that no one seems to notice. There are planters with well-tended gardenias in the front. He stares at it for several minutes before he finally "works up the courage" to go in.
- Before he goes inside, he bumps into a man emerging from a limousine just arriving on the corner. The man is older than him (maybe in his 30s) and though Kaiba recognizes him as a fellow businessman, the feeling's not mutual. The guy's rude to Kaiba before he walks into the club. Kaiba shakes it off and goes in after him.
- Anzu's picture is not on any of the walls like other girls, nor in the catalogs that he flips through. At first, the Mama-san (wearing a powder-blue suit) makes nothing of him, but she says something that prompts him to say his name and she realizes there's potential for a great customer here.
- The rude guy from before has disappeared into a back room, but he can't find Anzu. He returns right after this next bit...
- Finally, Kaiba gives up searching and just says "Anzu," and Mama-san tries to explain she's actually with a customer/is out at the moment
- Right as both men are expectantly waiting for Anzu/an explanation, the girl herself appears. She notices Rude Guy first, because it turns out he's one of her regular customers, and then Mama-san points out Kaiba. Anzu's shocked for a moment, but then smiles and makes up a completely fake excuse that she made plans with Kaiba ages ago -he's just a friend- and she's off the clock now and will return on her usual day (she has the next day off). Rude Guy is steamed and storms out; Anzu just sighs; Mama-san just puts a hand on her shoulder and walks off, and now Anzu and Seto are alone.
- I'm a bit confused here-- maybe Anzu DID go off with Rude Guy instead, and left Seto a note with her phone number on it, arranging to meet him after her shift on another day. He does call her, not expecting the number to actually be legit, but it is. They meet up at a random electronics store on the street-- Kaiba's thoughts are whirling around Anzu, and he's blankly staring at all the big screen TVs when Anzu sneaks up behind him and covers his eyes with her hands. She makes him guess who it is, even though he knows.
- They get to walking and talking, and finally stop in some sort of restaurant/cafe where the explanation finally comes out...
