This prof. has said straight out, he bases things directly from the book. When in class, he takes diagrams from the book. He references page numbers. He's a very "by the book" guy. He either LOVES the book or he's not very passionate about the subject and can't talk about it without a book.
Either way, my whole thing is that I like interactive lectures to learn by, but this guy's lectures obviously aren't going to cut it. He's too disorganized. I know reading the book will get me a "decent" grade, but I want to shoot for the stars (aka an A). So I'm wondering it's worth the investment of $44 for an extra supplement to the book that the teacher isn't officially using.
