Note: I edited this slightly for American-English. Sorry?

Wednesday: Wash house!
Thursday (possibly thing with the guys + IHOP?), Friday (Mom-day),Saturday (Forgot, Semester at Sea! All day-ish), Sunday (see Dad? *shrug* Dunno. Need to call him.): no plans! Call me.
Should I still go to LJ's headquarters, or do you think they'll all be busy cleaning up after ST07 that they'll be running around likechickens goats with their heads cut off?
Also, got CS3 Design Premium from Erin yesterday-- I went to her classmate's house in Westwood and helped them with Sim City 4 (for an Urban Planning class, how crazy cool is that?) which was tougher than any of us thought. Fun, but tiring after 12 hours, sitting on wooden chairs with no cushions.
Anyway, CS3 is FABULOUS! I have had NO rendering problems with my longest chapters of WDKY, and there are TONS of great tutorials on the bonus disc that came with it. Plus, all kinds of plug-ins and stock photos on the content disc, and because I was a good girl and bought + registered it, I can get MORE goodies from Adobe. Like fonts. Ooh, fonts. Maybe even the elusive Myriad Pro that was SUPPOSED to come with CS2? Also, it looks like ImageReady has been combined into Photoshop... it looks that way even for the regular Photoshop, not just Photoshop Extended. Ah, ImageReady... RIP!
The only thing that's bothering me so far is how my old extensions aren't compatible; I had the Calendar Maker, Quick Link generator, and Quick Gallery maker for Dreamweaver. For Photoshop, I don't think I had many filters or whatnot (and if I did, they're gone now... I keep all my brushes, gradients, textures, and patterns in other folders, though). And because CS3 is so NEW, there aren't a ton of freeware extensions out yet. Blaaah. Anyone know where to find any, besides the good old Adobe Exchange?

Date: 2007-06-05 07:31 pm (UTC)Louise.
2. Age:
23
3. Single or Taken:
Gloriously single.
4. Favourite Movie:
Eesh, I change his more often than my underwear. At the moment ... probably Millennium Actress.
5. Favourite Song or Album:
I'm really into Within Temptation's new album 'Heart of Everything' at the moment, though The Rasmus's albums 'Dead Letters' and 'Hide From the Sun' also tickle my fancy. Re: just one single ... um ... Jaci Vasquez's 'Imagine Me Without You' at this precise moment. Or 'Here in Your Arms' by Hellogoodbye. Ooh, or 'Mordred's Lullaby' by Heather Dale, which Yma completely sewed into my synapses with a rusty mattress needle.
6. Favourite Band/Artist:
Eep! I'm too eclectic to name just one of each. Within Temptation, The Rasmus, The Calling, Bucks Fizz, Tomita, Highland, BBMak, The Feeling, Busted, Hellogoodbye, Nik Kershaw, The Bangles, Martina McBride ...
7. Dirty or Clean:
Not too dirty, but I'm going to wash my hair anyway. Unless you're talking about my mind, in which case I'm a feelthy leetle beast.
8. Tattoos and/or Piercings:
One earring in each ear. I'm a big fan of dangly earrings, and habitually change out of my regulation work studs into weird stuff like giant rainbow coins or tiny red phones or dreamcatchers or something.
9. Do we know each other outside of LJ?
Nope. Sadly. Ocean gets in the bleedin' way.
10. What's your philosophy on life?
Don't be afraid to change your plans.
11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty?
Still capped, since I'm teetotal. Who wants a bottle?
12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interests?
What, like the martians are outside your front door?
13. What is your favourite memory of us?
When you recced me over at ygo_weekly. It was the first time I'd ever been recced ad hoc.
14. What is your favourite guilty pleasure?
Partially hydrogenated dates. And Black Magic (the chocolates, not the dark arts). I no longer look on anime or fandom as a guilty pleasure. I may waste my money and squander my time however I wish, if the rest of the country is going to go gaa-gaa over Big Brother.
15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you:
I have a small scar between my eyes where my loving sister once thwacked me with a badminton racquet.
16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the 'world peace etc' malarkey) - what are they :
i. My mother to have normal blood pressure.
ii. A hyper-fast metabolism so I can eat what I want without becoming an artery-clogged podge of epic proportions.
iii. To be the next J.K.
17. Can we get together and make a cake?
Virtual cake? With sprinkles and chocolate chips and little silver edible ball bearings on top?
18. Which country is your spiritual home?
Avalon. ;)
19. What is your big weakness?
Temptation.
20. Do you think I'm a good person?
Most assuredly.
21. What was your best/favourite subject at school:
English. And I got top marks in Daydreaming.
22. Describe your accent -
Unplaceable English, though I verge on Northern Girl more than Southern Softy.
23. If you could change anything about me, would you?
Not unless you wanted anything changed. More money, perhaps?
24. What do you wear to sleep?
Betty Boop pyjamas, usually, but at the moment the house is so hot I'm sleeping in lady boxers and a sheet without my beloved feather quilt.
25. Trousers or skirts?
Depends on the occasion. And whether I feel too bloated to wear a skirt.
26. Cigarettes or alcohol?
Neither.
27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together? (If you have no idea, just say something crazy, it'll entertain me!)
Stalk Dan Green, then kidnap and take him to a sugar pink chapel in Vegas with an Elvis impersonator vicar. And possibly marry him off to a lifesize Anzu cutout after getting him totally rat-arsed and agreeable to most anything.
28. Will you repost this so I can fill it out for you?
Already done.

Date: 2007-06-06 06:24 am (UTC)Oh, and silver ball bearing icing things-- I had those once on some cookies in Japan! I honestly thought they were real ball bearings, but they come in packets in Japan at all their grocery stores! I had no idea they're just sugar balls with some sort of syrup-polish... :D So cool. And on the Food Network channel, I think the guy on the show (of the same name) "Ace of Cakes" uses things like that a lot. They really trick you!
