I'm kupo for kupo nuts!
Jun. 9th, 2003 09:03 pmBlah. Even getting extra hours of sleep doesn't seem to help me much these days. Why is it that after you have a smashing good night, everything goes to heck and beyond? WHY? Let's go over this day in detail, shall we?
Well, I went back to sleep and managed to nap until around 1pm, when Mike called me. (He's coming on Saturday. -.- Yay.) I have to tell him to stop doing that, since mom told me today that because of long-distance calls like his, I went $125 over the limit! YIKES! I mean, I knew the plan was bad, but not THAT bad! Not to mention I didn't think *I* got charged for calls other people made to *me!* That's just not fair! No wonder why Will uses phone cards all the time...
Anyway, I eventually got up and played some FFIX-- upon Stef's advice, I leveled up to Lv. 11 before even entering Gizamaluke's Grotto, but I felt pretty bad about leaving poor Choco out there. =P You can't take Chocobos into bad places like dungeons and such, I guess. Hopefully I can still get him later, when I need him. Besides, I want to get better at that Choco Hot and Cold game! I totally abused the R1 and L1 buttons too, running away from all the battles with that gigantic lizard lady that usually casts "Entice" and kills off my entire party. Thankfully the worst she did was "Slash," and the damage was minimal, especially with both Freya and Zidane using their protection abilities.
Unfortunately, I wasn't leveled up enough for the boss, and died, after much angsting. Blah. I took my cue and got ready to head to CCSF, with the intention of going to the Registration Office and getting a duplicate registration ticket. I sort of idled around at home online, checking email and confirming the directions the "Online Adviser" gave me, but considering I took the Geary to Masonic (where I'd take the 43 ALL the way to CCSF) that little time lapse shouldn't have mattered.
But oh, it did.
WHY? Because the dorks at CCSF decided to change their office hours, and I was ONE STINKIN' HALF HOUR LATE! They didn't even bother updating their damned webpage, when all it takes is a simple point and click! AUGH! Anyway, so the evening class I hope to get into starts tomorrow at 6pm. But the Registration Office closes at 5pm, so if my printer doesn't magically work between now and then (enabling me to print a copy from the comfort of my own home... now why did the damned Adviser tell me I had to go to the RC *in-person!?*) then I can always use one of the computers there. Or just get a duplicate copy from the RC.
While getting lost at CCSF (why is that college so utterly inaccessible by MAIN lines of transportation?) I aimed to avoid being seen by any potential former fellow classmates of mine. There appeared to be some younger girls I didn't know from the Softball team, but that was it. I finally figured out where to get off the 43, according to where I was going... so assuming (and hoping) I get into that evening class tomorrow, I know where the damned ARTX building is (all the way across the damn campus from the Reg. Center. BLAH!). *sigh*
Well enough of this-- Pros and Cons of today, for once, somewhat balanced out:
I'm feeling sick, tired... I wish tonight weren't trash night, I wish I were still creatively inspired. I have no need to get up extremely early tomorrow, other than maybe to go to the bank before 2pm to see if my card can be converted into an ATM card, like it's SUPPOSED to be. Why else have those 'Maestro' 'Cirrus' etc. symbols on the back? I guess I just don't understand bank-stuff...
Hmm. Maybe I'll hold off on seeing 2Fast 2 Furious with J.Po until Wednesday or something. If I'm still feeling this lousy in the morning... besides, it's getting late and I doubt I'd be much of a telephone conversationalist right now. Maybe with some dumb luck, HE'LL call me. He did it before, why not again? *grin* Amber's drunk and partying since her best friend from 6 years ago has returned from some nameless land... good for her, but no matter what she says, she still can't type. =P
The Wave mentioned Japan Video in their magazine, along with Auto Freak. *g* And the Inuyasha Wall Scroll was featured in their full color image! Whee. Still need to go back to the Legion of Honor with Katia... still need to get Dad's Father's Day gift, schedule my hair dye appointment for SOME time this week, and figure out what to wear to Brooke's graduation, pending what color my hair will be by Saturday.
And thoughts of working on the "Hinata 120%" project are haunting me again. I really have to do that. *sigh* But I feel ill right now and want to sleep until say... 11pm, when I'll groggily awake to take out the trash. I just feel too sick right now to deal with anything, even that cool vector image I wanted to do before I came home. I don't have the patience for Photoshop right now though.
Oh. YM *finally* wrote me back, with the same info that Tokyopop got back to me with 5x faster. -.- At least the "Online Art Editor" was nice enough to provide me with a link to a font archive, though its server was being "used to capacity." I'll check back later, I guess. Ooh yeah, and there was a funny comic about SARS today in the Chron. *giggles* When I'm not feeling so sick and lazy, I'll link to it or somesuch.

Well enough of this-- Pros and Cons of today, for once, somewhat balanced out:
| Pros | Cons |
| Got that 12-color Sharpie marker set-- whee PURPLE! | Couldn't use my ATM to buy the CD Labeler system- a whopping $20 WITHOUT TAX! |
| Dunno whether this is a "pro" or not, but I'm considering going to CCSF in the fall and ditching the school-in-summer idea; instead, look for employment. If I do CCSF in the Fall, I might take care of my GenEd there (as much as I'd hate to, it appears they have a faboo Journalism program) |
Went all the way to CCSF pretty much for NOTHING... after all, the RC was closed! |
| Got my hands on the new issue of THE WAVE magazine. Always a plus. Ooh, Jim Carrey! |
Got gipped of some delish sandwich ingredients while at Subway/Masonic. I like the guys at 21st Ave. MUCH better |
| Still managed to pick up one of the last ADD/DROP forms for tomorrow. |
Ripped my tights... another pair in the trash can. Bah, they didn't keep me that warm today anyway. When is it EVER warm in the summer in San Francisco!? |
| Got an email saying that I had the talent to enter a contest that might win me a new laptop and creative writing prestige... ^^ Now all I have to is limit myself to 1000 words! |
Got stumped on ideas for said story, considering it HAS to be a romantic/comedy on a dramatic premise, under 1000 words! |
| Pondered having the guts to call Jonathan tomorrow and ask him to see a movie with me... maybe 2Fast, 2Furious? The review in THE WAVE made me giggle. "Hey dude, wanna go see a hot movie with some tricked-out Civics in it? DUUUDE." |
Am feeling sick. Perhaps from the icky sandwich at Subway, which I normally enjoy. |
